As the voice of the Plane Consciousness grew louder, Ye Wen finally snapped out of his thoughts.
"What do you want?!"
Ye Wen didn't care whether the Plane Consciousness had psychological issues or childish tendencies. He glared at it with an unkind tone.
In an instant, tears welled up in the Snow Empress's bright eyes.
Slap—
Ye Wen facepalmed in exasperation.
Big trouble.
A violent surge of icy energy instantly filled the entire space, and even Ye Wen's surface was covered with a layer of frost.
But Ye Wen had been prepared. Using spatial power, he isolated the Snow Empress's energy.
Indeed, bratty kids were the most troublesome, especially when they started crying.
Setting aside the fact that Ye Wen's tone had been harsh earlier, was the Plane Consciousness entirely blameless? Strengthening his resolve, Ye Wen stood up and walked to face the Plane Consciousness.
"Stop crying. You've ruined the persona of the Snow Empress, who hasn't shed a tear in tens of thousands of years."
The ice and snow ceased, but the scene was already a mess.
The Snow Empress regained her icy composure, subtly wiping away the tears from her face.
"My apologies, Master."
Ye Wen nodded understandingly, then said, "Let me talk to you first, and then you can communicate with the Plane Consciousness. I can tell that it gets overly emotional when interacting with strangers, which isn't suitable for the topic we're about to discuss."
The Snow Empress agreed wholeheartedly. If it weren't for the Plane Consciousness having higher priority over her body, she wouldn't want to get involved in its affairs at all. After all, the Snow Empress of today was no longer the Snow Empress of the past—but what could she do? The other party was the boss.
Ye Wen waved his hand, and the disarrayed room returned to normal. Then, sitting down in his chair, he slowly began to speak.
"Let's first discuss the matter of Douluo Star's ownership."
After some deliberation, Ye Wen continued, "According to our previous agreement, I've already completed my redemption of Douluo Star. Over the years, through my external conquests, I've continuously funneled resources back to Douluo Star. By now, Douluo Star has far surpassed its former state. So, haven't I repaid my debt to you, World Consciousness?"
Under Ye Wen's unwavering gaze, the Snow Empress couldn't help but nod involuntarily.
Ye Wen nodded as well. The Plane Consciousness was indeed a simple-minded little being.
"In that case, my future actions should be completely free.
I'm definitely going to build the divine realm, no matter what you say. For the future of this planet, I must complete the construction of the new divine realm."
But soon, Ye Wen frowned again, realizing the trouble brewing. The Snow Empress's aura became unstable once more, her bloodshot eyes glaring at him.
"Why?! Why?! All of you were nurtured by me, yet in the end, you all leave me behind! And you keep exploiting me! Answer me, Ye Wen! How have I wronged any of you?!"
"Sigh~"
Ye Wen sighed again. This brat truly couldn't control its emotions—it had popped out again so quickly.
With the overwhelming pressure of a God King, Ye Wen firmly suppressed the Plane Consciousness, preventing it from causing further trouble.
"First, I roughly understand what the Dragon God did to you, which is why you're so terrified of building a divine realm.
But you've misunderstood something. My purpose in creating the new divine realm isn't to exploit Douluo Star's faith energy but to help the planet advance further. So, can you control yourself, Plane Consciousness?
You've done me a favor, but your unstable state will ultimately affect me. I really don't want to find someone to usurp you."
Ye Wen spoke in the calmest tone possible, yet his words carried the harshest threat. At that moment, the Plane Consciousness felt as if it had fallen into an icy abyss.
"You… how do you know I can be usurped?"
Ye Wen glanced indifferently at the Plane Consciousness and replied, "You yourself said you could split off a divine consciousness to act independently, meaning your life structure is likely similar to that of a god.
This implies that your main body—Douluo Star's ownership—isn't permanently fixed.
Moreover, didn't you once peek into my memories? You should know what fate awaits you without me.
So, can you talk to me properly now?"
For a moment, the Plane Consciousness forgot all about fear or questioning. Like a frightened quail, it sat quietly, its delicate hands placed neatly on its long legs.
The chaotic atmosphere brought on by this brat had finally been suppressed by Ye Wen, who secretly congratulated himself. His earlier mention of usurpation was, of course, just a bluff to intimidate the Plane Consciousness.
After all, wasn't it better to live freely as a god? Why lock oneself to a single planet?
And at the God King level, one truly had the power to destroy a planet. But as a planet, countermeasures were extremely limited. If attacked directly, there was nothing to do but sit and wait for death.
Take Douluo Planet, for example. Despite once nurturing countless gods, it was eventually usurped by Tang Hao for his scumbag son. What a tragic fate.
Ye Wen remained silent, and the Plane Consciousness, now utterly cowed, sat quietly. The room fell into silence.
Ye Wen studied the Plane Consciousness—or, more accurately, the Snow Empress.
In terms of temperament and appearance, the Snow Empress was no less remarkable than any of his wives. If there were a ranking of goddesses on Douluo Star, she would undoubtedly make the top ten.
But alas, such a beauty was now trapped against her will—a sorrowful fate.
Though the Plane Consciousness might not harbor ill intentions, perhaps it simply wanted to use the Snow Empress's body to wander around and explore.
"What to do?" Ye Wen muttered aloud, troubled.
If the Plane Consciousness could wholeheartedly contribute to his future endeavors, he would gladly accept it.
But right now, the Plane Consciousness was like a little neurotic—on any given day, its instability might lead to betrayal.
At this moment, the Plane Consciousness heard Ye Wen's troubled muttering and cautiously observed him before speaking.
"What are you troubled about, Ye Wen? You can tell me. Maybe I can help you think of something."
Ye Wen replied irritably, "I'm troubled about how to deal with you! I don't want to kill you, but I also want full control over Douluo Star. What do you suggest I do? Go ahead, tell me."
Though Ye Wen's tone was still harsh, the Plane Consciousness didn't burst into tears like before. Instead, it looked at him with a slightly astonished expression.
"You really don't want to kill me?"
Ye Wen scratched his head, not noticing the Plane Consciousness's gaze.
"Why would I kill you? After all, you gave me a second chance at life. I'm not some ungrateful beast."
The Plane Consciousness's eyes grew brighter, gradually shaking off its previous timid state.
Observing Ye Wen, who was now deep in thought because of its question, the Plane Consciousness finally mustered the courage to speak.
