"You said you weren't angry-so why are you ignoring me, Skyyy?" Nani whined as they stumbled into their hotel room.
Sky let out a sharp breath, tossing his jacket aside. "Khun Nani, I'm not mad," he replied, his voice laced with irritation as he started unbuttoning his shirt.
But Nani wasn't convinced. His drunken instincts were sharp when it came to Sky. "But you're talking in your 'I'm mad' voice," he pointed out, his words slightly slurred.
Before Sky could react, Nani suddenly pushed forward, trapping him against the wardrobe door. His arms were weak but determined, pressing against Sky's sides as he leaned in with wide, questioning eyes.
"So tell me... who or what made you angry?" Nani pressed, locking eyes with Sky.
Sky didn't look away-but his gaze carried something different this time, something darker. And as Nani searched his expression, realization slowly dawned on his drunken mind.
"Oiii, you are mad at Nani. But why?*" Nani pouted, slipping into his third-person habit as he tried to figure it out. His brows furrowed in genuine confusion. "Nani was sweet to you today, wasn't I? Wasn't Nani being sweet?"
Sky, still pinned against the door, let out a quiet scoff and tried to shift away-but Nani wouldn't let him.
"Yeah, you were... with everyone," Sky said, his tone edged with sarcasm.
"See? I knew I was sweet today!" Nani grinned to himself, completely missing the point.
Sky sighed. This idiot.
But then-Nani's expression changed. His gaze softened, his lips curving into something smaller, something teasing.
"Nani doesn't like angry Sky," he murmured, his voice low, almost seductive. "So tell Nani what he needs to do to make you feel better..."
His fingers trailed lightly across Sky's face-brushing over his brow, tracing down the bridge of his nose, before finally resting against his lips. They lingered there, soft and slow, as he tilted his head up with a playful glint in his eyes.
"Khun Sky... Nani will do anything you want," Nani whispered, his lips dangerously close, his breath warm. "So tell Nani-what do you want?"
Sky felt his control slipping. His jaw clenched as he inhaled deeply, trying to suppress the fire building inside him. His hand instinctively moved up-fingertips grazing against the mole on Nani's neck, feeling the heat of his flushed skin.
He leaned in, his lips barely an inch away from Nani's ear.
"One day... I won't give a damn anymore," he whispered, his voice slow, deliberate. "And I will fuck you until you pass out-if you don't stop this drunken habit of yours."
He felt Nani shudder under his touch, his breath hitching.
But Sky just smirked. "Not that it matters," he added, finally moving Nani aside as he stepped toward the bathroom. "It's not like you'll remember any of this tomorrow."
As the door clicked shut behind him, Nani stood frozen in place-cheeks burning, heart pounding, and a sudden, unfamiliar heat spreading through his body.
8:00 A.M.
Sky checked the time on his phone as he pulled the hotel room key card from his pocket. He had woken up early to get a hangover drink for Nani, and before returning, he had placed a breakfast order to be delivered to their room. He wanted them to eat together in private instead of joining their colleagues who were also staying at the hotel.
But the moment he stepped inside, the sight before him made his stomach tighten.
There-seated on the bed next to Nani, with food placed between them and easy smiles on their faces-was the one person Sky didn't want to see first thing in the morning.
Dew.
"Good morning, P'Sky," Dew greeted coolly, his expression unreadable.
Sky forced a polite nod. "Good morning." He kept his voice neutral, though irritation simmered beneath the surface.
Nani, completely unaware of the tension in the air, beamed up at him. "Sky, where did you go? I was shocked when I woke up and didn't find you in the room."
Sky let out a quiet scoff, tossing the hangover drink into his mini luggage with little care. "And yet, not a single missed call from you."
Nani pouted, shoving another bite of food into his mouth. "I wanted to!" he said, chewing. "But Dew came, and I forgot..."
Sky's gaze flickered to the half-eaten breakfast in front of them. So Dew brought him food too.
Turning away, Sky pulled out his phone and called the hotel kitchen to cancel his order. There was no need for it anymore.
"Dew, how come you look fine and came here this early?" Sky asked, voice steady but laced with suspicion. "You looked wasted last night."
Dew leaned back slightly, his lips curving into something between a smirk and a casual smile. "I'm young, Phi'. I hardly get hangovers," he said smoothly, but Sky noticed his eyes never left Nani.
Sky fought the urge to roll his eyes. So he was faking it last night. Just as he suspected-Dew had pretended to be drunk to have an excuse to be all over Nani.
"Are you saying I'm old?" Nani asked, in a playful manner.
"Of course not," Dew laughed, reaching over to casually wipe a bit of food from Nani's lips with his finger. "How could I ever say something like that to my phi?"
Sky clenched his jaw. His patience was wearing dangerously thin.
But Nani, as usual, remained oblivious. "Dew, you've been really nice to me lately. You weren't like this before... Did I become more handsome or something?" he teased, flashing a playful grin.
Dew's laughter faded, his tone dipping into something softer, something more honest. "I don't want to lose you, Phi'."
Nani blinked, confused. "Huh?"
"You're my senior, and I like you so much," Dew admitted, his voice quiet but firm. "I don't want other people getting closer to you than me."
Sky felt his hands curl into fists at his sides.
Nani, however, only gave a small, awkward laugh. "Oh... that's what you mean," he muttered, and for a brief second, Sky caught something in his expression-something almost like disappointment.
But as quickly as it appeared, Nani masked it with another bright smile. "You don't have to worry about that! Nobody is stealing me away. I'll keep disturbing you until you get bored of me," he joked.
Dew's gaze softened. "I could never get tired of you, P'Nani," he said, his voice steady, sincere.
The room fell silent for a moment.
Sky didn't miss the way Nani's lips twitched into a small, almost shy smile at Dew's words.
"I should get going now," Dew finally said, standing up from the bed.
He bid his goodbyes and left, the door clicking shut behind him.
And just like that, Sky was left standing there-anger simmering low in his chest, a bitter taste in his mouth, and a fresh wave of jealousy threatening to consume him.
