First Floor – Trial Begins

The world around Leo shifted in an instant. The disorienting sensation of being pulled through space faded, and he found himself standing in an endless sea of green. The air was crisp, filled with the scent of grass and earth.

Suddenly, a translucent screen appeared in front of him.

[Welcome, Challenger.]

[First Floor Trial: Survive for 3 Days.]

[Failure Condition: Death.]

[Reward: Based on Performance.]

Leo's body tensed. A survival trial. One of the hardest types of challenges. Unlike combat trials, where you only had to defeat an enemy, survival meant enduring hunger, exhaustion, and constant danger. It wasn't just about strength—it was about strategy and endurance.

His mind raced. The difficulty of trials depends on the participant. Since he possessed a rare class, the system would likely push him to his limits. Which means… this won't be easy.

Leo scanned his surroundings. Tall grass swayed gently in the wind, some blades reaching above his shoulders. The terrain was vast, open, and eerily quiet.

Then—

Rustle.

A faint sound from the grass.

Leo's grip tightened around his sword. His other hand instinctively reached for the Mana Blaster strapped to his thigh. His eyes locked onto the movement.

Something was there.

The tension in the air grew thick—then, suddenly, a small creature poked its head out.

Leo froze. The creature froze.

Both of them locked eyes in mutual surprise.

It was a rabbit—a small, white-furred rabbit with a single sharp horn on its forehead.

Leo's expression darkened.

A Horned Rabbit.

Without hesitation, he slashed at the creature. His blade cut through the air, but the rabbit reacted in an instant, leaping backward with unnatural agility. It landed a few meters away, its tiny body trembling before it let out a low, guttural growl.

Grrr…

Its lips curled back, revealing razor-sharp teeth designed to bite and tear flesh.

Leo's instincts screamed at him.

It's hostile.

The rabbit suddenly lunged, its horn aimed straight at him.

"Shit—!"

Leo barely rolled to the side, dodging most of the attack, but he wasn't fast enough. The creature's horn scraped his shoulder, leaving a shallow cut. Pain flared, but he gritted his teeth and raised his gun.

Bang!

A mana bullet struck the rabbit's side, drawing blood. But instead of retreating, the creature went berserk.

Its eyes turned bloodshot, its movements erratic as it charged again, ignoring its wound.

"It's insane!"

Leo swung his sword with all his strength. The blade connected—a clean hit.

The rabbit's body jerked as the steel sliced through its skull. It collapsed with a dull thud, motionless.

[Horned Rabbit Killed.]

[EXP Gained: 33.]

Leo stood still, catching his breath, his hands still trembling slightly from the adrenaline.

Then, he frowned.

This… is really bad.

Horned Rabbits were nicknamed "Novice Killers" for a reason.

Not because they were individually powerful—but because they lived in massive groups.

They were aggressive, territorial, and had an instinct to attack anything that moved. More terrifyingly, they lacked fear. Injuring them only made them more violent. And once one attacked, the others would follow.

Leo quickly crouched beside the corpse, working fast. The horn was valuable—useful for crafting potions and weapons. Their meat was also high-quality, favored by adventurers.

But he didn't have time to celebrate.

If a single kit was here, that meant its group wasn't far.

He glanced around. The grass in the area was untouched—which meant they were migrating. The kit had likely gotten separated from the herd.

Which also meant—

It was probably heading toward them.

"Which means… I need to move in the opposite direction. Fast."

He tightened his grip on his weapons.

Without wasting another second, Leo ran.
