Chapter 31 – Deals, Doubts, and a New Rival?

Inside a private room, a merchant and his daughter were deep in discussion when they suddenly sensed a presence, prompting them to probe further. Their eyes immediately lit up.

"Father, it's them! The genius siblings!" Scillia said excitedly. She had already planned to befriend them from the very beginning.

Her father nodded in confirmation. "It is indeed them. It seems their breakthrough caused a severe depletion of natural energy in the secret realm, forcing them to be ejected automatically." He laughed in amusement, delighted by the prospect of cultivating future backers for himself.

"Father, let's go meet them!" Scillia urged, her enthusiasm brimming.

However, her father suddenly gestured for her to wait, making her curious. She turned her attention to the twins and observed the situation.

"Huh? This..." Scillia trembled in anger. "This is outrageous! They dare to speak that way to our guests? Father, should we kill them? These ants are getting too bold these days." Her voice was fierce, her rage evident as she watched the twins being humiliated in front of so many people.

Before she could continue her complaints, her father spoke. "Wait."

Confused, she focused on the twins again—just as a spatial rift appeared, and a hand extended from within. In an instant, it grabbed the two Horizon Realm gods who had spoken rudely and disintegrated them on contact.

Scillia's eyes widened in shock. She initially thought someone else had recognized the twins' potential, but what truly caught her attention was their reaction. The way they immediately embraced the person emerging from the rift indicated a deep bond.

Seeing this, she let out a sigh of relief. But her father, on the other hand, frowned.

"What's wrong, Father? Why do you have that ugly expression?" Scillia almost laughed at his look of concern.

Eduan spoke gravely. "This is bad. That woman's strength surpasses mine... It seems their background isn't ordinary after all." His voice carried a trace of nervousness.

He hadn't expected to encounter a powerhouse stronger than himself, making him feel somewhat ashamed of his earlier thoughts. He couldn't even perceive the true depth of her cultivation, which led him to change his initial plan.

"Scillia, when we meet them, show utmost respect. That woman is probably their mother, given their similar features. We must treat them carefully. Do not do anything reckless." His tone was serious.

Scillia nodded. She trusted her father's instincts as a merchant, so she reassured him. "Don't worry, Father. I won't cause trouble. I'll even prepare a gift for them while I'm at it." Her determination was firm.

With that, the two descended from their private seating and made their way down to the Grand Arena.

As they arrived, thousands of gods turned their curious gazes upon them. Yula, however, remained expressionless, her aura radiating cold indifference as she awaited the other party's next move.

To her mild surprise, Eduan and Scillia both bowed slightly, greeting her with respect.

"Greetings, Senior. Please forgive us for intruding upon your family reunion, but may we speak with you in private?" Eduan asked politely.

His tone was carefully measured—he was eager to establish a connection with the twins and was even willing to abandon his pride for the opportunity.

Yula immediately saw through his intentions. She remained wary but responded curtly, "Say it here."

With a simple tap of her finger, space itself shifted, forming a barrier that isolated their conversation. No one outside could hear a word.

Eduan wasn't fazed by this display of power—he himself could create such barriers—but he was not here to show arrogance. He was here for an opportunity.

"First, allow me to introduce ourselves. My name is Eduan, a merchant from the 70th Heaven, and this is my daughter, Scillia. Senior, may I have the honor of knowing your esteemed name?" He spoke with utmost respect.

Yula already understood what they wanted, but since they approached her peacefully, she remained calm.

"My name is Yula, wife of this domain's owner. And these are my daughters, Ella and Olivia."

Her voice was graceful, her tone poised and dignified. The sheer elegance of her demeanor made her presence even more intimidating.

Eduan was shocked.

"Just the wife of a lower-heaven domain master? Impossible." His thoughts raced.

Could her husband be even stronger? If he was, then why hadn't they elevated their domain to a higher ranking for better resources? There must be a deeper reason.

Fearing that prying too much would cost him his life, he quickly dropped the topic.

"Greetings, Lady Yula. We were unaware that you were the wife of this domain's master. Please forgive us for our intrusion." Eduan bowed respectfully.

Scillia also bowed slightly, maintaining a warm facade. But Yula's earlier words deeply shocked her.

"Only a wife of the 18th Heaven domain master? That doesn't make sense..."

She kept her thoughts to herself, unwilling to reveal her doubts. Instead, she focused her gaze on Ella.

The moment Ella returned her gaze, Scillia felt her heart pound.

"This is bad. Why is my heart beating so fast? That fierce look... those sharp eyes… Ugh, I don't understand anymore!"

Her face turned slightly red.

Ella, on the other hand, frowned. "What is this bitch staring at?"

She suddenly felt uneasy, thinking that Scillia had seen through her facade.

"Could she tell I was pretending to be polite? Dammit, that's creepy."

A slight killing intent leaked from Ella unconsciously.

But to Scillia, this only made her even more excited.

"Is she angry at me? This... this is really strange."

For the first time, Scillia felt a new, unfamiliar emotion stirring inside her. She had initially admired Ella's talent, but now... she wanted to know more about her.

Minutes passed as the conversation naturally shifted. Eventually, their true intentions were revealed.

Yula, who was gently cradling Olivia, looked at Eduan and spoke.

"So, you wish to invest in my daughters for future friendship?"

Her voice was calm but serious. She took a moment to contemplate, then continued.

"Forget about it. If you're truly sincere, hand over your offering right here."

Eduan didn't hesitate. He immediately retrieved four storage bracelets, each filled with abundant treasures and resources.

"Here. Inside these are four Divine Herbs, capable of enhancing any god's talent while their foundation is still being built. The rest consists of epic-grade herbs that strengthen the body. And this is only the beginning."

He chuckled, then added, "Once our mission here is complete, I will personally deliver the rest. You have my word, Lady Yula—I will not betray this promise."

Yula examined him closely and sensed no ill intent.

She knew that Eduan was simply securing connections early, hoping to gain a future backer. And she approved.

After all, she lacked sufficient resources for her daughters. This was an opportunity.

"Very well. I will look forward to it. We will take our leave now, as we have something important to do."

Eduan was startled by her sudden departure and couldn't help but ask, "Lady Yula, did we offend you?"

Yula shook her head. "No, but my daughters need to register for the Primordial Youth's Ranking. There are only two days left before registration closes."

She smiled warmly at her twin daughters, completely unaware that this event would shake the heavens themselves.
