*Few hours later*
Few hours passed and they arrived at their destination.
"Blaine, we're here." Janika said in a quiet voice.
"Hmm" He opened his eyes.
"Let's go." Janika opened the carriage door, and all three of them stepped out.
"Wow… There's so many people here!" Blaine looked at the countless number of students who were going to attend the Academy of Magic.
"Yeah… I didn't expect there to be so many of them." Janika responded while looking at the students.
"Yes, people from all over the kingdom come here to attend the Academy of Magic. All are welcome at the academy, but, the most important thing is, It depends on how much a person is proficient with their magic. If they don't show results and fail, they will be expelled from the academy. Avoid that and you have a bright future ahead of you.
Well, it's time for me to go! Bye-bye!" Ophelia gave a brief explanation. She looked at Blaine and Janika. Smiled, winked, and left.
"Shouldn't we go together though?" Blaine asked.
"Leave her. We're going to see her later anyway." Janika responded.
"What do you mean we're going to see her later? She's clearly not a student, I know that much." Blaine looked at Janika.
"Wait… is she…?" He suddenly had a realization.
"Let's go. We're wasting time." Janika responded with a straight face and started walking towards the academy entrance that had a gaint door with symbols and markings on it.
"Ah, hey, wait for me!" Blaine rushed and followed behind her.
On their way inside the academy, Blaine saw countless students going inside the academy. All wearing the same uniforms as Blaine and Janika.
Whoa, whoa… this is the academy? It's absolutely huge!" Blaine was surprised by the enormous size of the academy building. It was build like a castle. And, anyone would have a hard time finding out the difference between a real castle and the academy itself.
They both walk in with the rest of the students.
Blaine saw many students that made a big impression on him.
"I can sense their mana. All of them. They're emitting such impressive aura."
"Especially her. Her is something else, even though she's trying to hide it. It gives me the chills!" Blaine thought internally. He looked at the girl on his left walking a few feet away from him.
"Hmm?" She noticed him looking at her and turned towards him. She gently smiled and waved at him.
She was a slender, fair-skin toned girl of average height, with golden-colored eyes and long purple hair.
"Oh crap, she noticed I was looking at her!" He thought internally. He nodded. Nervously smiled and waved back.
"Sis? Is something wrong?"
A voice was heard but no one was seen speaking. Then suddenly, a girl from behind her moved forward. She had the same face as her. Same body, same size, same hair, same height. She was a exact same version of her, except her personality.
"No, I'm fine." She replied to her twin sister. Her voice was calm, delicate, and mellow. She naturally had a gentle voice.
"Huh?"
"She looks just like her!
Wait! Is-is she her twin?!
Wow! This is the first time I've seen twins!
They may have the same face but, their personalities seem completely opposite. The one who waved at me, smiled. But the other one, she seems expressionless. She looks like she doesn't have any emotions." Blaine looked at the other girl for a split second before turning forward and walking ahead.
"Tsk" Janika clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"What's wrong?" Blaine noticed her and asked.
"Hmph! Nothing!" She shrugged his question.
"Huh? What happened to her?" Blaine thought internally.
"Come on, let's go and see our names on the board of acceptance to see what class we're in. Though, I already know we're going to be in the top class." Janika walked towards an area where a black-board type board was place and a lot of students were gathered to see what class they were placed in in the Academy of Magic.
She arrived in front of the board with Blaine standing beside her. Crossed her arms. And looked at the top column of the board.
"I am in Class 1-A. Just as I thought. What about you Blaine?" Janika said as if she already knew what the results were going to be.
"Let me see." Blaine put his hand on his chin and began searching for his name.
The students were divided into different classes from A-F, with A being the top where talented individuals are placed and F being the bottom where the not-very-talented are placed.
"Ah, found it! Here it is!"
"Oh, we're in the same class!" Blaine found his name in the Class 1-A section.
"No surprise there. You're as strong as me after all." Janika said with a straight face.
"Oh my, we're in the same class as well, Mr. Circe."
It was one of the twins. She looked at Blaine and softly smiled.
"Ah, yeah, I guess we are, Miss…?" Blaine didn't finish his sentence.
"Oh, how rude of me. Let me introduce myself. I am the second daughter of the Crystal Household, Valerie Crystal Aurelia. But, you can call me Valerie. Let's get along as fellow classmates. Mr. Blaine and Miss Janika." She held her skirt and introduced herself in a graceful manner.
"Ah, yes, let's get along. And, you can call me Blaine." He nodded in agreement and responded in a gentle voice.
Janika nodded "Yes, let's get along."
"Oh, look, Eudora, you're in the same class as us." She said to her twin little sister.
"Of course, sis, if you're in the top class then I'm going to be in it too, don't you think?" Eudora responded with zero change in her facial expression.
"Mm-hmm. You're my precious little sister after all." She hugged Eudora.
"Sis, The Entrance Ceremony is to about to begin." Eudora responded. Expressionless.
"Oh, right. Mr. Blaine, you're going to the auditorium as well, right? Let's go together, if you don't mind." She looked at Blaine and Janika and gently asked.
"Yeah, sure, why not. Let's go." He glanced at Janika and responded back.
"Great!" Valerie clapped her hands together and gently smiled.
All four of them walked to the auditorium together.
The auditorium consisted of seating areas for every student, a stage for performances and speeches built to hold between fifteen to twenty people, and the floor with white marble tiles.
After walking for two minutes they arrived at the auditorium.
There were already a lot of students in the auditorium. Many were standing and many were sitting, chatting with each other.
"Oh, look, let's go sit over there." Valerie said as she pointed at the front seats.
They walked at the front and sat in the front row of the auditorium. All of them were sitting elegantly.
"Hey, look. It's him, right?"
"Yeah, it is."
"It's Blaine"
"He was adopted by the Circe Family."
"Where did he even come from?"
"What do you think their motives are for bringing him in their family."
"Hey, shh. Keep quiet."
"She's there too."
"And she can probably hear you."
"Janika Circe Steins. She has a reputation in the adventurer's guild. It would be best to not get on her bad side."
"She really doesn't like when you talk bad about the people she cares for."
Whispers were heard in the auditorium.
"Hmm? Are they talking about us?" Blaine had a confused expression and glanced over to Janika.
"No. Just ignore them." She ignored all the murmurs and told Blaine to do the same.
"You shouldn't pay any attention to them." Valerie said and Eudora nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, you're right."
"But, when is this going to start though?" Blaine asked.
"It shouldn't take more than twenty minutes for the Entrance Ceremony to begin. Just have to wait for the students to come in and take their seats." Valerie responded in her naturally gentle voice.
"Ah, yeah. I guess we just have to wait until then, huh?" Blaine put his hand on his chin and responded back.
He sat there in silence, not knowing what to say anything or do anything.
