"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet!
I'm Otto Adelaide Jasper." He extended his hand towards Blaine.
"Blaine Circe Steins." They shook their hands.
Otto gasped as he heard Blaine's name.
"You're… Blaine of the Circe Family?! I've heard about you!" He gasped and said energetically.
"I haven't done anything for people to be hearing about me so much. And I feel like I'm going to witness this over and over as I introduce myself to other, and it's getting a little awkward and annoying." He said with annoyance.
"Ah… true. It really does get awkward and uncomfortable when people talk about you." Otto responded less enthusiastically.
"So we're both in the same boat, huh?" Blaine chuckled and asked.
"I guess we are." Otto softly chuckled and responded.
"You know, I feel nervous talking to people. But, with you… I don't get nervous at all. Why is that?" He at Blaine and asked.
"I don't know. Maybe you found someone you can relate to." He responded bluntly.
*gasp*
"Really?"
"Mm-hmm"
"Yeah, you're right! Wait… does that mean… we're friends now?!" Otto's eyes widened in shock and he asked.
"Haha… I guess we are friends now." Blaine softly chuckled and responded.
"I… I can't believe I made a friend… my very first friend…" His shocked expression changed and tears flowed down his cheeks.
Blaine stared at Otto as he cried his eyes out.
He softly smiled and patted Otto's head.
Otto was surprised by the sudden head-pat and without saying anything he hugged Blaine.
"Hey, It's okay. It's okay." Blaine gently said to Otto.
"He must have been alone his entire life.
Having low self-esteem. No confidence in yourself. Being too afraid to talk to anyone.
I know how it feels. All of it. But, I did have a few friends though." He thought to himself as he saw Otto hugging him.
"Hey, are you okay now?" He patted Otto on the back.
"Yeah… yeah, I am." He sniffled in a fit of crying.
"Is he going to keep on hugging me?" He thought to himself.
After a few seconds Otto let go of Blaine.
"Oh, he let go." Blaine thought to himself.
"Are you okay?" Blaine held Otto's shoulders and asked.
"Yeah… sorry about earlier." He wiped his tears with the sleeve of his shirt.
"Hmm?" Sorry about earlier?" Blaine asked in confusion.
"And, stop wiping your tears with your shirt. You're going to ruin it." He stopped Otto from ruining his shirt. He then took out his handkerchief and wiped Otto's tears for him.
"And, sorry for what? Why are you apologizing again?" He asked in confusion.
"You know, for suddenly hugging you." Otto's voice was lowered.
"Oh, that? It's fine, don't worry about it." He had wiped Otto's tearful eyes. And tried to put his handkerchief away
"Wait, it got dirty. Let me at least wash it for you." Otto grabbed Blaine's hand. The same hand that was holding the handkerchief when Blaine tried to put it away.
"No, it's okay. I got it." Blaine gently responded.
"No, please… let me do it or I'll feel bad." His eyes filled with anticipation that Blaine will say 'yes' to his request.
*sigh*
Blaine sighed lightly and gave in to his request.
"Okay…" To Otto's surprise Blaine agreed.
"Yay! Thank you!" Otto took Blaine's handkerchief from him.
"I don't know why you're thanking me but, you're welcome? Blaine said confusingly.
"Hmph" Otto's mood changed and now he was happy. He turned around and walked in the bathroom with the handkerchief.
"Ah, wait! If you're going to wash it, then you should wash it later." He extended his hand forward as a sign to show Otto to stop.
"But… why? I can definitely do it now!" Otto said in a low-toned voice.
"I know you can. But, don't you remember? We have to attend the Banquet." Blaine said as Otto was getting ready to wash his handkerchief.
"Ah, you're right! I completely forgot about it!" Otto responded with a shocked expression.
"Let's go then. And you should leave the handkerchief in there."
"Okay." He put it in a basket and walked out of the bathroom.
Otto had put on his coat and came to Blaine.
"Let's go."
They left their room and were on their way to join the Banquet. With many other students coming out of their dorm rooms and leaving for the Banquet as well.
