Atlas frowned. Obviously, these were the people of the "Hunters of the Forgotten Force." Therefore, Eyron was not mistaken — the hunt had already begun for him.
He decided not to take any chances and quietly break away from surveillance. If these two are just watching but not attacking, then he has a chance to slip away without making too much noise.
The rabbit carefully stepped back, using the shadows of trees and bushes, activating the skill "Tactical evasion" (level 3). Moving slowly and silently, he began to bypass the observers along the far edge of the gorge.
[Stealth Check… Successfully!]
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the two were still standing on the path, talking to each other. They did not notice his departure.
When Atlas was at a sufficient distance, he quickened his pace and, using an inconspicuous side path, left the area.
Atlas looked at the available tasks and decided that the task was "Guardian of the Silent Temple. Part 1" will be a priority. This task could open up new opportunities for exploring and obtaining unique artifacts, which was important for his further progress in the game.
To continue the quest, [Guardian of the Silent Temple. Part 1] he needed to find fragments of the Key of Silence. This key was necessary in order to open the doors of the Temple and gain access to the next part of the task. Without this fragment, he won't be able to advance any further.
He checked his map and noticed that the fragments could be scattered in dangerous places related to the Shadow Forests. Perhaps they are guarded by magical creatures or hidden in dungeons where he has not yet been. Atlas realized that in order to obtain the fragments of the Key, he would have to go through several locations full of dangers.
[Quest: "Guardian of the Silent Temple. Part 1"]
[Objective: To find the fragments of the Key of Silence that open the doors of the Temple.]
[Hint: The key consists of several parts, each of which is hidden in different parts of the Shadow Forests. They are guarded by Guards and magical creatures, and their location is unknown. You need to be prepared for dangerous encounters and searches.]
[Location: Shadow Forest Head and surroundings.]
Atlas thought about it. He had already encountered some creatures and anomalies in this forest that could indicate the location of the fragments. He will need to explore the locations and look for traces that will lead him to these parts.
"I don't trust Eyron yet, so I won't tell him the information about my quest."
Atlas decided that he should first contact the Library of the Dra'To get more information about the Key of Silence. He understood that this task was not easy, and needed careful preparation. Stealthily using his Teleportation Stone, he headed straight to the Library to avoid the attention of the Hunters Guild.
Walking to the secluded spot where his teleporter is usually activated, Atlas focused, activating the stone. A moment later, he found himself in the familiar, quiet halls of the library, hidden from prying eyes.
There were few people here, and Atlas hurried to his favorite source of knowledge, the forbidden texts department. He knew that these texts contained rare information that could suggest the location of fragments of the Key of Silence. Soon he came across a book with the characteristic inscription "Secrets of the Silent Temples", which could shed light on his search.
The text was written in an ancient language, but thanks to his "Study of Lost Artifacts" skill, Atlas quickly deciphered the necessary fragments. One of the chapters contained information about the Key of Silence:
"The Key of Silence consists of several fragments that were scattered around the world after the destruction of the Ancient Temple. Each fragment is kept in a special place, protected by the forces of magic and ancient guardians. These places are usually located in dark forests, on the tops of mountains, and sometimes in forgotten dungeons guarded by magical traps. One of these places is the Head of the Shadow Forest, where the power of the Ancient Temple has been preserved in the form of cursed guards."
This information confirmed his guesses. Everything pointed to the Shadow Forest as the place where he would continue his search. However, Atlas understood that there he would have to face a huge number of magical obstacles and creatures that would protect these fragments for centuries.
"The Shadow Forests are big, especially the Head of the Shadow Forest...what if I run into the Spirit of the All-Consuming Shadow Forest again?"
Atlas, having received all the necessary data from the Library, decided not to waste time and return to the Shadow Forest. He knew that the fragments of the Key of Silence would not wait, and the sooner he found them, the better. After using the Teleportation Stone, he found himself back in the familiar forest, surrounded by a dark atmosphere.
He looked around, examining the nearby ruins. He felt a strong feeling that he was close to something important. The branches of the trees rustled, and a dark shadow appeared in the mists.
Atlas continued to move forward, relying on his intuition and experience. His steps became more and more confident, despite all the obstacles and dangers that the Shadow Forest harbored. The dark fog hid almost everything around him, but every step brought him closer to something important.
As he passed through the dense undergrowth, he noticed the vague outline of an ancient temple in the distance. Its walls were covered with moss, and around it stood tall stone statues that seemed untouched by the hand of time. Atlas felt that this place could be connected to his search for fragments of the Key of Silence.
He headed there, trying to avoid all the visible magical anomaly that emanated from the temple. His every move caused soft flashes of light in the fog, but it didn't distract him from his main goal. The closer he got, the more he felt that something important was hidden in this ancient ruin.
Entering the temple, Atlas saw in front of him a huge hall with high ceilings that stretched into the darkness. In the center of the hall were old altars covered with magical symbols.
This place felt like the core of power—not only of this forest, but also, perhaps, of something more global. He knew that he would face dangers here, but he might also find fragments of the Key of Silence.
In the center of the hall, on one of the altars, there was a strange manuscript, next to it — a shining stone, as if waiting for him.
Atlas wasted no time heading towards the altar, carefully watching every step.
His gaze was fixed on the light coming from the shining stone that lay next to the manuscript. The place where he found himself felt special—the silence was almost tangible, and the air was filled with ancient charms.
He felt that his every move could attract the attention of hidden magical powers.
When he approached the altar, Atlas saw that the manuscript was covered with strange characters that he could not immediately decipher.
The stone, despite its external attractiveness, seemed dark and ambiguous. Atlas knew that it would be extremely reckless to touch it without examining it.
He opened his inventory and took with him a pair of magic gloves, also made by Kira and a blacksmith in Dra'Myr. To minimize contact with possible hazards. After that, he carefully picked up the manuscript, unfolding it on the table in front of him, trying to examine the inscriptions.
