Upgrades

As the sonar scanned the vast ocean outside, Godzilla sensed the intricate network of traps humans had set up around his cave, contemplating their actions.

These small creatures certainly have impressive execution capabilities.

I wonder... is it 10,000? 20,000? Perhaps 40,000 or 50,000?

No, it must be more. Definitely more—maybe even 100,000 or beyond.

In just ten days and nights, they've laid down an astonishing number of bombs around my home. Their speed is truly remarkable.

But surprisingly, they haven't placed any bombs directly on me. Are they afraid of waking me up?

Gurgle, gurgle.

Giving his tail a slight shake, Godzilla, now revitalized in his new body, rose from the cave. He could feel that he had become even more massive.

Glancing at the panel, Godzilla's current physical condition displayed:

[Host Name: Godzilla]

[Energy Supply and Reaction: Magnetic Confinement Deuterium-Helium-3 Nuclear Fusion Magnetohydrodynamic Power Generation: Dormant Power 50 gigawatts, Active Power 2-30 terawatts, Maximum Output 1 pavar, Instantaneous Power up to 30 pavar.]

[Body Size: Height 250 meters, Mass 1.8 million tons, Total Length 457 meters (Can increase through feeding).]

[Body Composition: Ultra-Dense Iron Composite Carbon Nanotubes + Metallic Hydrogen.]

[Atomic Breath: High-temperature Plasma (Maximum Output 980 terawatts, Instantaneous Power up to 29 pavar).]

[Self-Repair Capacity: 1,500 tons/day.]

This evolution was just as significant as his previous transformation.

Not only could he now self-adjust his power levels, but his old reactor had also been upgraded to a more advanced one.

Previously, he used a deuterium-tritium reactor, similar to what humans had developed. It was efficient but had a major drawback—tritium was incredibly rare, and the high-energy neutrons it produced caused serious internal damage over time.

Now, with a deuterium-helium-3 reactor, those neutron-related issues were almost gone. This new reactor was much easier to maintain, though it wasn't as energy-dense as the old one.

Think of it like this: the old reactor was like using expensive, high-octane fuel—powerful but hard to get. The new one was more like regular gasoline—less powerful per unit but abundant enough to last indefinitely.

And on top of that, Godzilla had gained a new way to generate energy—magnetohydrodynamic power generation.

Instead of relying solely on traditional heat-based energy conversion (like boiling water to spin turbines), this method let him extract power directly from plasma, boosting efficiency to near perfection. Even though his new reactor wasn't as energy-dense, the way he used that energy was now far more effective.

Overall, the upgrade meant that Godzilla had way more power available in the long run.

Satisfied with this realization, Godzilla turned his attention to a newly unlocked function on his control panel.

Human Radar.

A computerized map appeared before him, capable of zooming in from a few hundred meters to a global scale.

It displayed every major human settlement worldwide, listing total population, evacuation rates per hour, and even a real-time estimate of the current global human population: 15.79 billion.

With this information, Godzilla could now strategize his next move.

So, where should he go next?

His first targets were naturally the largest coastal cities, where human population density was highest.

Eastern Asia had already been largely depopulated—attacking it again wouldn't achieve much.

Instead, he focused on several major coastal cities outside the Far East, intending to strike. But after further analysis, he reconsidered.

It was better to return to the East.

Not because of any grudge or special attachment—but because the cities outside the region were already evacuating at full speed.

By the time he arrived, they'd be ghost towns.

If he wanted to push humanity into a corner, he needed to keep up the pressure in the Far East, ensuring they had nowhere left to hide.

Moreover, human weapons were the key to his evolution.

At some point, humanity would run out of places to flee. As long as he maintained enough pressure, they'd have no choice but to surrender.

With that thought in mind, Godzilla activated a new ability gained from his recent evolution—magnetic fluid propulsion.

This technique transformed the internal wiring of his body into superconductors, generating a powerful magnetic field that propelled water backward, producing a reactive force.

Essentially, it was still a form of propulsion by reactive force—but vastly more efficient than traditional methods.

Rising from his undersea dwelling, Godzilla swam forward, using his magnetic fluid propulsion system. His eyes flickered toward the countless sea mines scattered above the trench.

Then, he opened his mouth, the glow of nuclear fusion building up inside.

For the first time, the world would witness the true power of his evolved breath.
