WH 40k: Transcendence

Author here. As I have shamelessly given myself 5 stars I have an obligation about what this story is. It is basically another Isekai story of guy in warhammer with a status page. It is set in mid to late 40th millenium, approx 500 to 550 years before gothic war/ second Black crusade. The protagonist is imperial scribe of administratum and lives in mid level hive city. Warhammer is a niche franchise and nobody was writing any decent fics about it, most are just translations. So I figured, I will pull out a Thanos and do it myself. Honestly really impressed with what I’ve read so far and with how it’s going it will probably become the best warhammer novel on WebNovel. Personally I believe the best part of the story is the training and watching how the mc progresses from a nobody to something greater in the warhammer universe.

Well written, good pacing, the best actively updating 40k fic, probably top 5 overall as of chpt 20, and I have scourged the ends of the earth for warhammer fics

good grammar, no instant op mc, so far good story and most of all mc is not a filthy heretic

Absolutely loving the novel! 10/10 would recommend reading or Atleast adding to libary to read at a later date when there’s more chapters

On chapter 11. I don't know much about Warhammer 40k, just the basics, but I am still able to enjoy the story. it is slow paced, and the MC doesn't have ridiculous cheats and soar to the apex of power he just seems to learn slightly faster and work way harder than normal. Overal great and I hope story continues!

Solid Warhammer ff, and any new Warhammer fics are good in my book. The vibe and atmosphere is spot on, the struggle feels grounded and realistic, actually making you think yeah Warhammer would be a terrible place to go to. Its easy to root for the MC with his struggle and the power development keeps things interesting. The weak point is characterisation, but with what has happened in the fic there isn't exactly much to show, the MC has such a struggle that there isn't much to show beyond his determination not to end up another cog. There was the bit where he struggles to come to terms with his kill, but it was a chaos cultist so not sure why lol. The supporting characters, what limited time they are shown, feel realistic and more complex than your typical webnovel fare. So overall pretty solid fic, question is where it will develop and whether the author will continue to upload beyond the early updating spurt.
