Two years into the marriage
My class had just ended. I stayed seated as everyone filed out of the room, their chatter and footsteps echoing in the hallway. My hand drifted to my ankle and I massaged gently, wincing at the dull pain. Thankfully, the earlier incident hadn't left any lasting damage. I just needed to be more careful.
I shifted in my chair, sighing quietly to myself. Bliss was running late. She'd gone to get flats from my car over five minutes ago.
"Hey." I raised my head at the sound of the familiar voice and saw Phillip standing by the door.
He smiled charmingly, but it only made me uncomfortable. I knew why he was here, again. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to walk away like I normally did when he approached me.
I didn't answer him, but that didn't stop him from walking towards me. I sighed in frustration at the thought of having to deal with him.
