Alexander clenched his fists, staring at the warehouse doors that held his past captive. Inside was the world he swore he'd left behind—the violence, the debts, the men who had turned him into a monster. But this time, they weren't after him. They were after her.

Vincent Carver's voice echoed in his mind. "You don't get to walk away, Voss. Not without paying your dues."
