As they ventured deeper into the forest, a white tiger with black stripes and long, sharp fangs stopped them. The team prepared to fight, but Jack was at the front and charged at the beast alone like a raging monster. The battle between them was intense.
Strangely, Jack seemed unaware of himself—this was not his usual fighting style. He was wild and uncontrollable.
At that moment, the child took the chance to escape, trying to get as far as possible from Jack. But suddenly, Jack shifted his attention to the child, ignoring the beast. As a result, he took a heavy strike on his right side, but he didn't care and kept chasing the child.
After a long chase, they arrived at a wide area surrounded by giant trees. In the center stood a massive wolf with gray-and-white fur, radiating a terrifying aura.
As soon as the entire team entered this space, a strange force sealed the area, trapping them inside like a cage. This confirmed their suspicion—the beast before them was the floor boss.
Reaching this point meant only two options: kill the boss or die.
Izem and Kuro quickly gathered to analyze the situation.
Kuro said, "Our main goal now is to kill the boss, then we'll try to bring Jack back to his senses."
Izem replied, "I think I know what happened to Jack. When we were walking through the forest, he told me he had a headache after touching a strange plant. I believe that plant amplifies emotions, making someone lose control. But I have an idea—a small electric shock might bring him back."
Kuro responded, "But we need to restrain him first. I have a plan. Let's use this situation to our advantage. Let Jack do most of the fighting—he's like a berserker now. Once he gets exhausted, we shock him."
Izem nodded. "Let's hope this works. This is a floor boss—we can't underestimate it."
Meanwhile, Jack was locked in battle with the beast. The fight was fierce, but the boss had the upper hand—it was fast and agile. It managed to get behind Jack and land a powerful hit on his back.
But then, Izem interfered, slowing the beast, while Kuro attacked its eye. The beast retreated for a moment.
To their shock, its eye healed instantly, as if nothing had happened. Even worse, the beast showed no signs of exhaustion. This put them in a desperate situation.
After a long fight, they realized something was wrong. No matter how many times they wounded the beast, it healed instantly. It was invincible.
Despair began to show on their faces until suddenly, a mysterious old voice echoed from afar, saying, "Kill yourselves—it's an illusion."
The voice repeated the words several times. Confused, they hesitated. Should they trust it?
In the end, they all followed the voice's advice—except Jack, who was unconscious after taking a heavy blow from the beast.
After killing themselves, they woke up, lying in the same place where they had fought. But the beast was gone. Instead, in the center stood an ancient tree with twisted roots.
The tree spoke: "Humans, you have defeated me and broken the illusion. But are you truly ready for what lies below?"
It paused, then pointed at the child. "As for you, there is no escape from the maze's fangs, traitor."
And so, they had conquered this floor's boss. Behind it, a small cave opened, leading to the next floor.
After all these events, the team took a break, waiting for Jack to wake up while discussing the strange voice they had heard.
After some time, Jack finally regained consciousness. His rage and madness had disappeared. But to their surprise, when they told him what had happened, he said he remembered nothing. The last thing he recalled was walking toward the surface before a sudden headache—then nothing.
This confirmed that Izem's theory was correct.
They decided to continue toward the surface at a fast pace. On the way, the team tried to convince Jack to apologize to the child, but he refused.
Finally, after a long journey, they reached the surface and headed to the Guardian Organization's headquarters to report what had happened and discuss the fate of the mysterious child…..
