Back in his room, Lu Xiaofeng had a deep smile in his eyes that could not be hidden.
He wasn't excited about the kids' talent this time around, but the changes that happened in his sea of spirits. The three formations that he personally couldn't do anything about finally started to change color.
They went from being transparent to now being white.
Looking around in his sea of spirit, a deep sense of relief washed over him.
'It seems that my assumption was corrected. My children are the key to unlocking the formation. Judging by the color it changed to, the formation can detect what Spirit Master rank they are. So if I keep on teaching the kids and help them grow stronger, I wonder how strong my martial spirit would be.'
thinking of this, he walked up to the pool and placed his hand in it and felt a surge of cold and warm water.
"Eleven meters." He muttered as he smiled in satisfaction.
He then looked at the dazzling trident in the air and reached out with his right arm and pulled it in with his mind and grabbed it with his hand and observed it.
The Golden Shark Trident looked quite beautiful as its gold color dazzled. The sharpness of the three-sided prong shined bright under the lights, and the gold inlaid with it made the trident look majestic.
Feeling around for a while, he threw the Golden Shark Trident to the middle of the pool.
The trident hovered there for a moment before plunging down into the bottom of the pool.
Seeing it disappear into the bottom, a calm feeling overtook Lu Xiaofeng.
He sat on the floor in front of the pool with a smile on his face. He couldn't help but look at the ceiling of his sea of spirits as he started to remember the time when he first got his martial spirit.
All he remembered was the deep resentment of the Red Sea. The endless fighting and killing. Those things... Especially those things.
As he let himself wonder his mind, the pool started to tremble and the Golden Shark Trident came rushing out with the golden water sticking to it.
Lu Xiaofeng's eyes snapped open, and the golden water clinging on the Golden Shark Trident came rushing straight at his forehead.
He didn't resist, and the golden water entered his forehead.
"Hmm~" Lu Xiaofeng snorted and woke up from the sea of spirits.
He quickly stretched out his right hand and a mirror of water appeared in front of Lu Xiaofeng.
If anyone entered the room right now, they'd see a man with glowing golden eyes alongside his skin turning gold. The hair that was normally blue started to change color and slowly became golden.
"Huh? A bloodline improvement?"
This was what happened. Lu Xiaofeng's skin was starting to turn gold from receiving the benefits of the golden water that his trident shot at him. His blue hair was slowly turning golden as well and his eyes started to shine like his trident.
"What the heck! Am I turning into a trident!?"
Lu Xiaofeng freaked out at first, but quickly calmed down.
"Is this body and spirit? Isn't this a unique trait that seventh rank Spirit Masters have? The Spirit Avatar realm?" Saying that, he quickly checked his Qi.
"1400 Qi? I'm only a hundred off before I become a rank six Spirit Master!" He laughed.
From rank 1-4, It takes 250 Qi to break through, then it starts to take 500 Qi from 5-7. To break through the rank 8, one must have 5000 Qi in order to break through. As for the peak of this world, it takes 10000 Qi!
There are a few rumors saying if you reach 100,000 you could become a god, but no one has proven that yet.
Calming himself down, his appearance started to change but to blue from gold and the golden glow in his eyes disappeared and it went back to its original appearance.
"Thank the heavens!" Lu Xiaofeng said in relief as he started to inspect himself and his sea of spirit.
His trident was still the same, but it now had a faint streak of gold water on it.
Beyond his sea of spirits, the red water started to become more prominent, making his happy mood vanish.
"Why is the Resentment of the Sea getting stronger?" He mumbled and placed his hands behind his back as he pondered.
"Could it be because of my bloodline?" He asked himself.
As he pondered about the Resentment of the Sea. As for what that is? To put it bluntly, it's a curse he's had since childhood, and any person who swam in the Red Sea would have a trance of it.
"Whatever is happening, I feel no side effects." He muttered.
Lu Xiaofeng didn't mind this curse, because he felt that the resentment had some benefits as well.
It wasn't as bad as some of the others who felt that the resentment had completely corrupted them and made them into mindless demons who would slaughter everyone who crossed them.
For him, it allowed his spiritual strength to grow a rank above his Spirit Master rank.
"Well, that's it. I'll take the kids for a well deserved break tomorrow."
The next day came quickly, and before he knew it, he had already taken the kids out of the house and started to walk around Red Crab City.
Lu Xiaofeng dressed a bit simpler, with the common white tunic and long pants with a simple belt, while his hair was pulled into a simple ponytail, allowing one to see the two earrings of an anchor.
The kids wore simple dresses and trousers just as well.
Red Crab city is a lively city to say the least. Everywhere you go, you can hear the hustle and bustle of people chattering. The smell of sea crabs could be smelt anywhere in the city, alongside the smell of freshly backed doughnuts. Though, they all served dipped doughnuts as it was Heavenly Dipped Empire's own personal specialty.
