Chapter 4: Martial Spirit Training (2)

Lu Xiaofeng didn't react in the slightest and only looked at the drill calmly with a bit of appreciation in his eyes. Right when the drill was about to hit his left arm, a blue halo suddenly appeared and blocked the drill from his arm.

'She actually managed to control the water element in her first fight? She hasn't even gotten to play around and experiment yet.' Lu Xiaofeng thought in surprise and felt a little bit of pride in his heart.

As he was appreciating her fast mastery, he hooked the trident with his left arm, pulling her towards him while he threw his right fist at her chest.

The moment the fist connected with her chest, it was as if all her breath left her lungs, and her body was forced into a flying posture. She fell and rolled a few times until her body was stopped by the stone wall that surrounded their manor.

Seeing his sister lying in a dazed posture with her back on the wall, Lu Fin and Lu Renshu rushed up and ran towards Lu Feng'er.

"Sister!" They both shouted, worried that she got heavily injured.

"Don't worry, she's fine." Lu Xiaofeng said, " I haven't injured you guys to the point of leaving a heavy injury."

Lu Renshu and Lu Fin looked at Lu Feng'er in a complicated look. Even with her strong personality, the power that Lu Xiaofeng put behind that punch wasn't light and would definitely keep her down for a while.

"Come on, do you two want to fight on a 1v1 of a 1v2?" Lu Xiaofeng smiled as he asked the two.

He was in a good mood and had some expectations for their first time using their martial spirit. He wasn't wrong though, Lu Feng'er managed to grasp an element so quickly. He was interested to see if both of them were just as talented as their sister.

The two of them didn't say anything but moved forward and stood side by side and summoned their martial spirits. Two phantoms of a jellyfish appeared behind them and then suddenly rushed into their bodies. Some physical changes started to happen to their bodies. Their hair became like the tentacles of a jellyfish and their skin color became a little blueish.

Lu Xiaofeng clapped his hands in approval and then took a defensive stance.

Lu Renshu and Lu Fin looked at each other, a light glint appeared in their eyes and they nodded their heads in agreement.

"Go." They shouted and sent their martial spirits towards their father.

Two white translucent tentacles made out of water reached out and tried to grab hold of him, but Lu Xiaofeng was too quick and dodged out of the way while being mindful of their young sister who still was breathing hard.

After avoiding their tentacle grabs a few times, their faces became a little helpless but still had a hint of excitement.

They didn't give up and started to move their bodies along with their martial spirits, which made the attack and movement of their martial spirits a lot quicker and a lot harder for Lu Xiaofeng to avoid.

"Alright, that's good." Lu Xiaofeng said in surprise and didn't just dodge this time but actively attacked the tentacles while also closing in the distance on them.

Lu Fin took the first opportunity to attack while trying to hinder his father's movement, but Lu Xiaofeng was much too strong and kicked the back of his right knee while also slapping away the tentacle and grabbed his head and threw him onto the floor.

Lu Renshu jumped forward and threw a few punches towards him but he managed to avoid them all with his body constantly moving back. Lu Fin recovered quickly and joined in again to attack their father.

Their fighting style was actually quite good to look at, but the strength they displayed wasn't at the level of an opponent who Lu Xiaofeng considered worth fighting against.

As the battle continued, Lu Xiaofeng decided to stop messing around and grabbed Lu Renshu's wrist with his right hand while grabbing her shoulders with his left hand and pushed her to the side with some force and used her own force and body to push him.

As soon as he threw her away, his left fist slammed right into the left side of Lu Fin's face which made his body spin and hit the ground hard.

Lu Fin laid on the floor in pain but recovered and got up quickly, but didn't dare to go back. Lu Renshu tried to attack but she wasn't quick enough to attack at the right time.

Lu Feng'er still had some problems getting back on her feet because her chest still ached in pain, but she watched the battle and had her Golden Shark Trident ready to strike in a second's time.

Seeing their movements slowing down, Lu Xiaofeng smiled and waved his hand towards her and said, "Alright, it's over."

Lu Renshu's and Lu Fin's martial spirit started to fade from their bodies as the both of them slumped down on the ground exhausted.

Lu Xiaofeng walked to them and three blue halos appeared under them, helping them re-energize their body.

"I am really impressed with all of you. Especially you Feng'er. Although you had fought me one on one which was a stupid choice, you still managed to control the water element with your trident. With this progress, you can leave the Spirit Dormant Realm and enter the Spirit Manifestation Realm and become a rank 2 Spirit Master in under a year." Lu Xiaofeng said proudly as he patted his youngest child's head.

Even though Lu Feng'er was exhausted, she still managed to raise her neck up high.

"The two of you did just fine. Although not as well as your younger sister, you still did an amazing job."

The two of them nodded to their father.

"Well, let's end today here. Tomorrow I'll take you guys to play outside. How does that sound?"

Lu Renshu's eyes lit up when she heard she could see the outside world, while Lu Feng'er just curled her lips and Lu Fin didn't care.

Seeing that the three of them didn't have any opinions, he simply left them to rest and went straight back into his room.
