The Golden Boy Chapter 3

Martin Scorsese was reading a book attentively, although there was something inside that did not leave him alone.

He had made Kundun, a drama about Tibet and the Dalai Lama, a film that did not have a great impact at the box office and went completely unnoticed.

When he got up to go to the bathroom, the sound of the phone caught his attention.

"Hello, yes. Who is it?"

"I'm speaking with Martin Scorsese?"

"The same person in person."

"Ok, my name is Terry Semel, CEO of Warner Bros. I would like to meet with you for a project that will interest you."

....

...

..

"This is... Fascinating, who wrote this, if I may ask?" Martin Scorsese would ask.

"The boy's name is David Weber, but before I talk to the boy, I need to know one thing."

Terry Semel would look at Martin Scorsese, who seemed hypnotized by the script.

He had invited him to his office to talk about whether he would agree to be the director of the film.

"You agree to be the director of the film."

"I totally agree."

They would shake hands and all that was left was to talk to David.
