Return and Escape

Back in the Cryo Pod

The moment Moss returned to the cryogenic chamber, she held her breath.

A single pod wasn't enough to contain a Digimon—at least, most Champion-level Digimon could easily break free.

To prevent this, the pods were filled with a pale green anesthetic liquid.

When Moss had first woken up in this world, inhabiting Angewomon's body, she had nearly been sedated.

If she hadn't crossed into Fairy Tail, she would have ended up as just another lab specimen.

BAM!

Still holding her breath, Moss clenched her fist, channeling a soft purple Holy Light around it—

And punched the glass of the cryo pod.

Her "delicate" fist shattered the reinforced glass, sending the green anesthetic fluid gushing onto the floor.

Disabling Security Systems

WEEOO! WEEOO!

A red light on the ceiling flashed, turning the entire room crimson.

A loud alarm blared through the facility.

But Moss had expected this.

She raised her right hand, extended her index finger, and formed a finger-gun gesture—

Biu~

A small purple light beam shot from her fingertip.

This was a miniature "Heaven's Purple Light", a compressed form of her Holy Power, acting like a bullet—

It destroyed the alarm system instantly.

Next—

She fired again, taking out the security cameras.

Once that was done, she heated her body with magic, evaporating the remaining liquid on her skin.

Even though she had returned to this world, the power she trained in Fairy Tail still remained.

But…

She had been holding a tree branch when she traveled back.

Now, it was gone.

"So dimensional travel can't bring objects along."

She had already suspected this—

When she first arrived in Fairy Tail, her body was completely dry, with no trace of the anesthetic liquid from the pod.

Since she couldn't bring items, she hadn't bothered buying magical tools in Fairy Tail.

Then, she focused on her system panel.

[Name: Moss]

[Species: Digimon · Champion Level · Free Type · Angel Type · Angewomon]

[Skills: Holy Bow, Heaven's Purple Light, Healing Light, Digital Soul, Take Over Magic]

[Evolution Path: Corrupt Evolution]

[Dimensional Transfer Countdown: 30 Days]

"Another 30-day countdown?"

"So I travel every 30 days?"

Security Alert

Inside the monitoring room, a bored security guard nearly fell asleep—

Until the alarm blared.

He jerked awake, quickly checking the security feeds—

Then, in panic, grabbed a radio and shouted:

"We have a Digimon escapee!"

The report quickly reached the facility's highest authority—

Kurata Akihiro.

A pale, sinister man in a white lab coat and small glasses, Kurata was known for his ruthless scientific ambition.

Hearing that a Digimon had broken free, he didn't react with anger—

Instead, he smirked.

"Even with all that anesthesia, it still resisted?"

"Has it evolved resistance?"

"Digimon truly are dangerous creatures."

He typed on his computer, accessing the security footage—

And saw the escapee.

"Angewomon?"

Kurata scoffed.

"Just a Champion-level."

He had invaded the Digital World multiple times, capturing countless Digimon, including Ultimates.

Compared to them, this Angewomon was nothing special.

Sure, she was beautiful, but to him, she was just another research specimen—

Nothing more.

A nearby soldier—the head of security—spoke up.

"Dr. Kurata, should we capture her?"

Unlike most soldiers, this officer understood science.

Hearing Kurata mention "evolution resistance", he thought the Angewomon might be valuable for study.

If Kurata were a normal scientist, he would order her recapture for research.

But he wasn't.

He was a scientist with ambition far beyond science.

He wanted to rule the world.

So Kurata answered coldly:

"No need."

"Destroy her."

The security officer nodded.

He activated his radio—

"First Squad, move in. Terminate the target."

Freeing the Digimon

At that moment—

A familiar voice echoed in Moss' mind—

"Help them too."

It was Angewomon's voice.

By "them," she meant—

The other Digimon trapped here.

Looking around, Moss saw the other cryo pods—

Inside them were Digimon like Goblimon, Mushroomon, Otamamon, Frogmon, Vademon, Kunemon, and more.

Digimon from all evolution levels—Rookie, Champion, and even some Ultimates.

"Easy enough."

Moss didn't mind doing some good along the way.

She raised her right hand, gathering Holy Power in her palm.

This was a technique she developed by constantly using Heaven's Purple Light—

A way to compress and spin Holy Power, reinforcing her punching strength.

She named it—

Holy Spiral Fist.

It was the same attack she used to knock out Laxus.

The rotational force had shaken his internal organs, making him faint instantly.

Without that technique, even a strong punch wouldn't have knocked him out.

Breaking the Pods

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Moss shattered the pods one by one, freeing the trapped Digimon.

However—

These Digimon had been sedated for a long time.

Even outside the pods, they were too weak to stand.

Moss raised both hands, channeling Healing Light—

Speeding up their recovery.

As the Digimon slowly regained consciousness, they groggily looked around.

"Where are we?"

"Ugh… my head hurts…"

One of them—Vademon, the octopus-like alien Digimon—was the first to understand the situation.

He looked at Moss.

"You saved us?"

She nodded.

The Digimon quickly thanked her.

"No time for that." Moss interrupted.

"This place isn't safe. Follow me."

The Escape Route

She turned away from the door—

And faced the opposite wall.

Clenching her right fist, she gathered spinning Holy Power.

Vademon hesitated.

"Wouldn't the door be faster?"

Even Angewomon's consciousness agreed.

But Moss had her reasons.

"There are guards at the entrance. That's the worst exit."

She punched forward—

"Holy Spiral Fist!"

A single punch blasted a massive hole in the 20 cm-thick wall.

Then—

She punched three more times, creating four holes in total.

The Digimon stood frozen.

Even Vademon swallowed nervously.

They had always thought of Angewomon as an elegant warrior of light—

But this one was brutal.

After the four holes, Moss kicked the wall, breaking it into a man-sized passage.

"Move!"

She led the Digimon through.

Looking back at the facility, she noticed a red cross symbol on the building.

"Wait… this is a hospital?"

Then she remembered.

Kurata's bio-Digimon experiments could give humans Digimon abilities—

Healing paralyzed people, strengthening weak bodies—

Even rejuvenating the elderly.

No wonder Kurata never lacked funding—

He had the entire world's elite under his control.
