Chapter 7

The chat group had already erupted into enthusiastic discussion. I almost didn't have the heart to ruin this sudden burst of joy.

"Pregnancy is definitely something to celebrate. If only the child were mine."

After I typed this line, the previously lively chat group instantly went cold.

I guess their mental CPUs were all overheating.

Melody burst out of the room, her face filled with terror. "Honey, I..."

I let out a cold laugh. "Don't bother trying to explain. The fact that I got hold of your pregnancy test report means I have even more evidence. Get ready for divorce. I've already found a lawyer."

Melody shook her head violently. "No, I won't divorce you. Honey, I love you. The baby was just an accident. I was forced. He blackmailed me. If I refused, he said he'd tell you."

I smiled at Melody. It was all too late. From the moment Melody betrayed me, her role in my script had been cut.
