Melody thought she could force me to back down with divorce, but I've always been faithful to our family. I usually pay close attention to her moods, and on the rare occasions we argue, I'm always the first to apologize.
I once said that even if Melody asked for a divorce, I'd win her back.
But that was assuming Melody was faithful to me, not secretly saving herself for someone else.
"Dane, you..."
Melody was stunned, her face filled with panic.
I said, "It's too late today. We'll go file the paperwork tomorrow."
Melody asked, "Are you serious?"
I replied coldly, "What else would I be?"
Melody said I've changed, that I'm not the same man who said he loved her. Little does she know, I haven't changed - my eyes have just been opened.
