After making sure that Aliyya was back at her home safely, Ursa went to the convenience store nearby immediately, buying essential things like a mask and some makeup from the girl section to help him disguise himself. Fortunately, it was just two weeks or so before the winter started in this Shamsa city, so his windbreaker wasn't too out of place.
After getting everything ready, he went to the station nearby and rode the subway there, going straight to the downtown. The situation there was far from when it was night, with so many people on the subway pushing and shoving around each other to make sure they could enter it this turn and didn't have to wait for the next subway to come again about twenty minutes later.
In the next thirty minutes during the journey to the station in the downtown area, Ursa experienced probably the worst physical pain in his entire life. Since his height was pretty average and the full-level stealth that he possessed made it easier for anyone to forget about his existence, the people around him treated Ursa as if he didn't exist at all. He received shoves straight to the rib, almost getting pushed out in one of the stations, and even got a bottle of orange juice spilled on his windbreaker. Fortunately, the material was high-quality as it didn't leave any trace on the windbreaker itself, which relieved him a bit since Ursa would rely on his windbreaker for this mission.
Finally, after another fifteen minutes of fighting his way through the subway, he arrived at the downtown area, intact even if a bit messy.
'Now I know the horror of the subway in a work hour. That is so terrible.' He muttered wryly, wiping sweat on his face.
After checking the map on his phone and navigating his way through the downtown area for about five minutes, Ursa finally arrived in front of the building he was searching for. It was a pretty iconic one with the roof shaped in a middle-parted hairstyle that only a nerd usually had and the bright green painting that was there. Honestly, Ursa had the urge to turn his face away from the outrageous color choice here, yet he still held back to not draw any unnecessary attention.
This building was pretty interesting to visit for the first time, and Ursa couldn't blame anyone who treats it as one of this city's tourist attractions. However, right now, what interested him the most was who worked inside this building and where his target worked.
'Okay, this parliament building is ridiculously big. It was almost as big as…. Screw it!' Ursa had no idea if there was a tall enough building that could be compared to what was in front of him right now. 'Now, I need to sit down first at the spot where I could observe this building from afar without getting noticed too. This will be so boring.' He sighed unconsciously.
Yeah, instead of infiltration, Ursa's objective right now was scouting the target area first. He was not crazy enough to believe that he could sneak in, get anything he wanted, and get out without any problem. It was too surreal and fictional. He had never believed something like that, even for a second in his life.
In return, though, Ursa decided to go to the closest café where he could still see the traffic of who came and left the building before their working time was over. He wanted to make sure first that Golak Mayar still worked here and not just rented a place in the other building for himself.
"Is there anything I can get you, Mister?"
Ursa was startled for a second, turned around just to snap away his head a second later in embarrassment. He was too eager to find a good spot to observe the building that he didn't realize he entered a maid café, and when he saw the beautiful waiter greet him with this cute maid costume, he swore he felt blood rushing straight to his face.
"Can I get a strawberry sundae, please?" He asked, trying to wash away his embarrassment. To his surprise, though, the waiter in front of him looked hesitant for a second before leaning forward, lowering her voice.
"If I may give you a suggestion, Mister..." Ursa didn't know what was going on, yet he still nodded his head, letting the woman – or the girl (?) – in front of him speak her mind. "There are not a lot of people who will order a strawberry sundae this early on such a chill day. You will just stick like a sore thumb here. If you want to continue spying on the parliament building, I suggest you order something like hot coffee that most of the people would have too."
If before, Ursa felt blood rushed to his face in embarrassment, now he could feel all of that drained as his face got paler instantly after hearing that. He decided to follow the waiter's action and leaning forward before asking in a low, serious tone, "How do you know I am spying on them?"
This time, it was the waiter who looked confused as if he just asked if the water was wet or something so stupidly obvious like that. "Well, maybe because you don't even try to hide it, Mister?" She answered hesitantly. "I mean… You come in a rush but don't ask for a menu or even look around at this café first, just going straight to the seat next to the window. You also kept staring outside every now and then as if waiting for someone to appear there. So, if not spying, what are you doing here?"
Well… When the waiter said it like that… 'System! You said I have full-level stealth, so how come she noticed me all the time like that?!' He complained to the system inwardly, to which the system replied immediately.
[Host, the full-level stealth and your windbreaker could only lower your presence, not remove it from existence. Anyone who pays enough attention would still be able to notice you. Also, the waiter is correct, you stick like a sore thumb here. No matter how low your presence is, it is impossible for the other people to not notice your shenanigan here.]
Ursa groaned inwardly, trying to cover his face and die in embarrassment straight away. Unfortunately, he couldn't do that for now, so he just gave the girl who was waiting patiently for him an awkward, forceful smile before saying, "Thank you for the advice, Miss. I will change the order to a hot chocolate. Is that okay?" The unasked question here was of course, 'Is this better than before?'
The waiter just smiled plainly as if she just didn't embarrass him as she nodded before walking away. "Please, wait for a moment, Mister. A hot chocolate is coming!" However, before she was about to leave, Ursa remembered something and stopped her.
"Wait!" The girl stopped and turned around, looking at him curiously. He was hesitant for a second before finally asking, "You know that I am spying on them, right? Why won't you report me straight away instead of giving me tips like this?"
For that, the girl just giggled merrily, answering, "Mister, they are parliament. No one likes them. If you could expose their shady business and bring them hell, go for it! I am sure most commoners will support you in a heartbeat!"
