past life and painting

Chapter 42: "The Painting of a Past Life"

In a grand mansion, far from the world of demi-gods and magic, Lady Adriana watched her three-year-old son, Adrian, as he played and painted in his nursery. Despite his young age, Adrian possessed an uncanny maturity, often displaying wisdom and insight beyond his years.

As Lady Adriana observed her son, she noticed that he had created a peculiar painting. The picture depicted a small boy with an otherworldly aura about him. Adrian's eyes sparkled as he gazed at his artwork.

"Mother, this is me in my past life," Adrian said, his voice filled with conviction.

Lady Adriana chuckled, thinking it was just a childish fantasy. "Oh, Adrian, you're so creative!" she exclaimed.

However, Ryder, Adrian's father, took his son's words seriously. He exchanged a knowing glance with Lady Adriana, his expression thoughtful.

"Adrian, tell me more about this past life," Ryder said, his voice gentle.

Adrian's eyes seemed to glaze over, as if he was recalling a distant memory. "I was a boy, and I had a brother... He was very sad, and I couldn't help him."

Ryder's expression turned grave. He knew that Adrian's words were not just a product of his imagination. There was something more to it.

Without hesitation, Ryder decided to seek the counsel of his best friend, Caleb, who was currently residing in the human world. Ryder shared the entire story with Caleb, who was equally astonished.

"Caleb, what do you make of this?" Ryder asked, seeking his friend's insight.

Caleb's response was unexpected. "Ryder, I think you should consult a seer. They might be able to provide some clarity on Adrian's past life and his connection to... whoever that boy in the painting is."

Ryder nodded, determination etched on his face. "I'll do it. I'll find a seer and get to the bottom of this."

And with that, Ryder embarked on a journey to uncover the truth about his son's mysterious past life, leaving Lady Adriana to wonder if their son's painting was more than just a childish fantasy.
