Third person point of view
Aravind stood there and stared at Dev who was removing his helmet. " What ? " Dev asked wondering what was up now. Aravind just stood there without saying anything and blinked twice. Dev understood. " Come ". Aravind smiled and followed Dev. They went to Dev's room and sat down on the bed with the books.
Dev picked up his pen and took out his notes. " So what did you not understand ? " Dev asked and Aravind gave another smile. " Do you even listen in class ? " Dev asked and Aravind shrunk a little. " He needs to explain so that humans can understand ". Dev scoffed. " Then what about the ones who understood ? "
" I don't know about them ". Dev face palmed making Aravind giggle. He knew Aravind was using his words against him. He gave a glare and Aravind went back to normal face. He zipped his lips. " Don't act like such a good kid ". Dev said and Aravind gave an innocent look. " I was never a bad kid ". Dev scoffed but nodded. " Right ".
Aravind gave a proud look. " Fine. Now let's get to this ". Dev started explaining the topic which was taught in their class. Aravind listened attentively and understood it. Dev knew that Aravind was not dumb, he just was not interested enough sometimes to pay attention. So now that he explained it, he would get it at once.
Aravind looked at Dev as he explained it all to him. He thought about how the other guys complained when girls always went to Dev saying they had doubts and that they didn't understand in the class. Dev used to reject most of the time but he couldn't push them away so he used to explain from time to time.
Aravind looked at the book. He couldn't say that the girls were at mistake. Now that he is observed him carefully, there was some charm to it. Dev finished explaining. " Fine ? " Aravind nodded. " You should learn to listen in class too ". Dev said. " I have you though ". Aravind said with a smile.
Dev also smiled back wanting to say something but Aravind caught on it. " Try to change that into a pickup line and you will bring out the murderer in me ". Aravind warned making Dev laugh. " I didn't even say anything ". Dev defended himself. Aravind rubbed his neck. " I will leave since we are done ". He picked up his book to put it in his bag.
" Since you are here, let's talk about the project too. We need to have something to show them ". Dev said and Aravind nodded. And so they did that work. By the time Aravind went back home, the sun has already set. Aravind put his things away and went to take a bath. He went to sit with his family and returned to his room after dinner.
He opened his laptop and searched 'what to do if my best friend likes me'. He found it dumb but he really didn't know what else to do. He read through a few articles and answers by people but he still was stuck in dilemma. He closed the tabs. He picked up his phone but heard a knock. He looked up and saw his brother open the door.
" I need your laptop ". Atharva said and Aravind nodded. Atharva walked in and took it. " You don't want to buy a new one ? " Aravind asked and Atharva shook his head. " I did save up but I am not sure if it is as necessary ". Aravind shook his head. " Not that I want to jinx you but one day if it just shuts down to never turn on, you will be in trouble ".
" We will see when that happens ". Aravind laughed. Atharva gave a smile and walked out of the room. Aravind picked up his phone and scrolled through twitter for a while. He yawned and decided he might as well sleep early. He put his phone aside and turned the lights off in his room and fell asleep.
They walked to the class where they were going to meet the lecturer for project meeting. The both of them walked in and sat in the last bench again. Aravind looked around and noticed Bhargav was not yet there. He let out a breath and chatted with Dev about the project while waiting for all of them to arrive.
Aravind noticed from the corner of his eye that Bhargav entered the room. He turned to Dev who was looking through his phone. He took the phone away from Dev shocking him. " What ? " Aravind showed with his eyes and they saw Bhargav talking with other students in the front. Dev let out a heavy sigh and turned to Aravind who laughed.
Bhargav glanced at them and saw Aravind laughing while looking at Dev. " He is your problem so just give me my phone ". Dev said extending his hand. " Aye~ What do you mean ? He is our problem and you already said you will help me. Don't be stingy now ". Dev gave up and dropped his hand.
Dev rested his chin in his palm and stared at Aravind who was looking through his phone. " You are not worried ? " Aravind asked with a smile. " About ? " Aravind waved the phone in his hand. Dev shook his head. " What do I have that is worth hiding ? " Aravind chuckled and gave Dev his phone back.
" Hello ". Bhargav greeted and the both of them turned to him; the smiles almost vanishing from their faces. " How far did you come with the project ? " Dev took out some printed papers and gave it to him. Bhargav looked through them and nodded. " Good ". Bhargav said and gave it back.
" You can show this to ma'am ". Dev nodded. " If there is anything, you can always contact me ". Dev nodded. " Thanks ". Aravind said and Bhargav smiled. He went to talk with another group. They spoke with the lecturer as well and she also said that they were doing a good job.
