THE WOODS

'There is always an adventure waiting in the woods'

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"You sure you aren't really dumb?" Dal-min asked casually while dubbing a cotton pad onto Ha-Jun's bleeding eyebrow where he got hurt earlier, looking back he was glaring at him "whom you calling dumb?" he scowled at Dal-min reminding him of an angry bunny "what, dumb?" Dal-min was intentionally riling up Ha-jun having way too much fun teasing him 'he looks like he almost wants to kill me' Dal-min thought out before clearing his throat "no I don't mean your one just back there you didn't fight back even after having that body...." he said the last part to himself masking the way he had time to look at his body.

"I....don't know how to fight" lies, is all Dal-min's brain could register, with that body how dare he not know how to fight, that body was meant to fight, well don't judge a cover by its book.

'i can't tell you I am powerless without my ring' Ha-Jun sighed planning not to give any explanation to Dal-min while he stared at the necklace in his hand, glad he got it back. "How did you find it?" he asked and Min laughed nervously "not everyday you find jewelry laying on the ground" he said 'and almost sold it off' he rubbed his neck in embarrassment which went unnoticed by Ha-Jun 'i can't believe I almost did that' he had his regrets.

"How did you do that?" Ha-Jun asked with curiosity "do what?" he asked "the book, you made it disappear and then you had it" he sounded like a kid wondering how a magician made that trick. Dal-min sat up and looked all smug "I can pull off ticks it's my specialty" he bragged and Ha-Jun rolled his eyes 'smug enough, i can see that but what's a human with such kind of tricks unless it's a.....' "am not a sorceress or witch or wizard you might think" he just read his mind 'he reads minds too' Ha-Jun noted at the back of of his head, he was speechless as he looked at him.

"I do tricks after years of practicing, it's really easy, I mean see.." Ha-Jun was confused at first and looking down to his hands the necklace was gone "check in your pockets" he quickly did and he found it "a witch" is all he concluded and Dal-min never laughed so hard in his life as he did right now, it's the first time someone gave him that kind of look. Some were always looking at him like he murdered someone, some were wide eyed but Ha-Jun was just....funny "your so funny, it's nothing serious really" he gathered himself up and put away the first aid box. "You must be hungry which i am too so make yourself comfortable I'll make ourselves something" Dal-min smiled and stood up to walk away to the kitchen as Ha-Jun only stared at his back before he pulled himself up and went outside to feel the fresh air.

Ha-Jun put aside whatever he was thinking about Dal-min and stood at the balcony of the wooden cabin and relaxed he got, he finally took in the area around himself. Ever since he landed he didn't get a break to look at where he was exactly and now he did he can't help and appreciate.

The trees stood tall and proud their leaves of vibrant green that seem to capture the essence of life. The air fresh and crisp filled with scent of pine and earth a perfume that soothes the souls making me take deep breathes. Sunlight that streams through the branches creating patterns of light and shadow upon the ground. Gentle rustling of leaves and distant call of birds are the only sounds, a natural melody that speaks of peace.

Then to the cabin was surrounded by towering pines and whispering leaves. The cabin itself had it's rough hewn logs and smoke lazily curling from the chimney a point that Dal-min was actually making something at the moment. Ha-Jun could actually think this is all 'impressive', as far as humans were stupid from his point of view this was actually impressive. The cabin was ancient aesthetic and it gave off such a nature comfort of peace absolutely what he loves 'snap out of it' he reminded, he didn't come to get comfortable he was here for a reason and he would much as early start working on it, but before that he needs to find the most important thing, his ring.

It was his backbone of everything "the ring would also guide you to the prince" the voice of Aureus reminded so he needed to find it as soon as possible "but how?" he groaned leaning to the railing pulling his hair in frustration, he doesn't even know what to do next.

One thing for sure he knows is that he cant let his true self be revealed, he cant tell no one at all, not yet. A lot had happened and he needs to get his thoughts together which is not now, he needed serious rest, not everyday you land on earth from all the way of the sun now he thinks he might have angered the Gods at some point to punish him like this. "The food is ready wanna join?" Dal-min called out from where he was and Ha-Jun only sighed and went back in he was starving that's for sure.

Ha-Jun was....confused, he looked around the table and he could barely figure out what kind of food he was looking at right now. 'i have never had this before' he thought to himself as being a picky eater he was this was not what he was planning for. Dal-Min was busy munching on his soy bean noodles getting it at the corner of his lips which didn't go unnoticed by Ha-Jun, doesn't eat the classic way he notes to himself.

Dal-min was too hungry as he ate at an inhuman pace and looked up to see the other who gave him looks which reminded him he wasn't alone. "i know an animal that eats like that" Ha-Jun pointed out making Dal-min frown he was being called an animal???

"And you though why are you not eating?" he decided to ask seeing Ha-Jun didn't touch anything on his plate. "or...you don't know all these?" Dal-min asked and Ha-Jun nodded his head making the other frown more 'where is this guy from?' he was utterly confused.

"ok look here this is Kongguksu Soy Bean Noodles, eat while it's still hot" he suggested but Ha-Jun seemed hesitant "c'mon am not poisoning you, see am eating it too" he tried and finally he took a taste "how is it?" Dal-min asked in anticipation but Ha-Jun managed an aggressive eating and frowning at the same time and he couldn't tell if he was liking it or not.

But Ha-Jun never stopped eating it only meant he was loving it "I know right" Dal-min giggled while digging in too "and this here is bossam" he pointed and finally he didn't waste a minute to try it out too, "there is Japchae, mushrooms....." Dal-min continued to tell Ha-Jun the food he made and he tasted it right away and aggressively.

'what is this, it's so good!' Ha-Jun's inner voice pointed out as he couldn't get enough of what he was eating right now it was a new experience 'how comes I have never had any of this before I like it' he went on eating like it was his last meal making Dal-min chuckle

"And you said I was eating like an animal guess who's the other animal?" Ha-Jun looked up to Dal-min "I didn't say you are an animal" he defended and Dal-min shrugged "we are very many animals" he chuckled and Ha-Jun only looked at him for a few seconds before diving in right back, they'll bicker later this is more important, the food was amazing and he was glad to appreciate it by eating of course.

'am weirdly so hungry' Dal-min's eating never stopped either and he was never like this he wasn't the person with the biggest appetite he barely ate he was used to hard life but he just can't seem to stop eating right now that he can see the food, he was glad he stocks his food well.

'ever since that night my body had been acting weird and this is one of them, I really am eating like a pig' he groaned to himself and looked up to Ha-Jun who had now started eating with his bare hands 'and guess am not the only one' he smiled at the scene, Ha-Jun really was full of surprises and he wanted to see more of that.

What felt like an eternity, a beautiful eternity had finally come to an end, the food was all done "take rest you need it" Dal-Min reminded Ha-Jun who pulled his body away from the sink after washing his hands and flopped onto the couch near him "can I sleep here?" he asked face flat in the cushion, Dal-min wanted to let him know he could use the guest room but the other was already out as soft snores followed,

"goodnight Jun"
