Itachi's POV
Just What I Expected
We stood there staring at each other smiling and goofing around like some teenagers while my bro Sasuke kept growing restless. But she finally emerged, looking dazzling as I had predicted. She wore a sleeveless black dress that revealed her shoulders and neck. It was long, with a slit up to her hip, showing off her entire left leg. The dress had golden embellishments at the start and end, and it was truly elegant. When I looked down her legs, I saw high black heels with the same golden embellishments. She walked slowly and sensually, toward the car, her hips swaying slightly from side to side, her quadriceps and calves boldly exposed through the dress's slit. Her makeup was impeccable, and her hair was perfectly straight, her white skin highlighted, as were her red lips.
She moved to get in on the passenger side, and I turned to see Sasuke, who stood there with slightly parted lips, clearly affected by her beauty.
"Hello," was all she said, her dark, striking eyes meeting mine, followed by Sasuke, who just looked away and she frowned slightly.
"Sorry for the delay," I apologized, while I continued to gaze at her like an idiot. "Sasuke, please move to the back," I said to him, and he acted puzzled.
"Me? I don't have to. She can sit in the back," he replied, almost making me choke him. Like, what is wrong with this dude?
"Don't worry, Itachi. I can sit in the back," she said decently. But I shook my head.
"No, Sasuke, please," I said with a serious tone.
"No, Itachi," the spoiled brat refused.
"Itachi, I can go in the back," she said again.
"Yes, that's how it should be, in the back where she belongs," Sasuke said like the morone he had proven himself to be. Looking at him, I thought about killing him right then. I saw the expression on her face and knew this wasn't going to end well.
"Ha! Who says that I belong in the back? No, I'm not going to the back anymore," she replied, clearly annoyed.
"Sasuke!" I scolded, but he just frowned and got out of the car. She smiled triumphantly; I didn't know which of the two was worse. She climbed into the car, and suddenly Sasuke jumped in and sat next to her, forcing her to move and almost sit on the gear stick.
"What the hell...? Can't you see it's a one-seater, idiot?!" she shouted, trying to get comfortable in the seat.
"I don't care. If we're being fair, I have more right to be here than you." Sasuke replied with a triumphant smile. "First, I am here first, secondly, you are the stranger here." This wasn't going to end well, it was almost too palpable.
"Ugh! You're intolerable!" she screamed, finally getting settled in the seat. They were both cramped, and seeing they were already settled, I saw no reason to say anything, else, I might be fanning the ember, so I finally started the car.
Maya's POV
Meeting Mom
What did that idiot think he was doing? I didn't understand why he had to come. I really couldn't stand him. He chose to be crammed in the same seat instead of moving to the back where he would be comfortable. Now look how it was for us, It was incredibly uncomfortable, and I wonder why Itachi would even come with him, it is not like he has anything to do here. Itachi was driving with a furrowed brow, looking uncomfortable too, though not as much as I was. I shifted, feeling very squished.
"Can you stop moving?" the little insolent said to me, so I turned my face to confront him. That's when I had him so close for the first time. His breath brushed against my lips, and his perfume filled my nostrils. It smelled exquisite, like a VIP cologne. He went silent, and I didn't say a word either, just stared at his lips and eyes. Those were the longest seconds of the night. I almost lost myself as I felt all my hormones coming alive. God, he was hot, I wondered why he had to be so annoying.
"What are you staring at?" he asked rudely, calling me back from my imagination. I couldn't stand him, seriously, that boy is another level of nuisance.
"I'm not staring at you! You're staring at me!" I snapped back, frowning.
"Enough, damn it. You two are like little kids." Itachi said as he drove, with his eyes focused on the road. "Please, I would like to know something, can you guys pretend to get along in front of my parents? Thanks," Itachi said, he asked a question that was obviously rhetorical, he was quite irritated. He was irresistible too, and he wasn't a dick head like his brother, his voice almost threw me off balance, but I remembered I had to listen to his words because tonight was all about "business."
Finally, we arrived, and I had never been happier. Sasuke got out before me and went inside which I assumed was his house—or rather, mansion. Itachi turned off the car and then walked around to where I was.
"Allow me," he said, extending his hand. I took it and smiled at him; he literally hypnotized me with those eyes of his. We entered the grand mansion, my arm linked with his. As we arrived, everything had already started, and as soon as we were inside, I felt as though all eyes were on us, as a matter of fact, all eyes were indeed on us. I heard countless female voices whispering, devouring looks from the men, and I wanted to flee. I always hated being the center of attention.
"Prepare yourself, here they come," Itachi warned, referring to what I assumed were his parents.
"Son, where have you been?" asked a beautiful woman around 45 years of age, who looked just like Sasuke but with much longer hair.
"I stepped out with Sasuke for a moment, Mother," he responded without letting go of my hand.
"I see," she said, looking at me. "And who is she?" she asked Itachi with a smile on her lips, then turned to me. "I hope you give me grandchildren soon, Itachi. Nice to meet you, dear, I'm Mikoto," she said, extending her hand. My cheeks turned pink at her comment. Itachi just looked at me and smiled too.
"Oh, a pleasure, Mrs. Mikoto," I replied, smiling at her.
"No need for 'Mrs.', dear. I hope to see you again. Enjoy the celebration," she said before leaving. I just nodded and smiled; his mother was lovely, really beautiful, and she was nothing like that spoilt brat son of hers called Sasuke.
