First Fight

Wei Liang had only been at J High for a few hours, and already, people couldn't stop talking about him.

His fight with the thugs spread like wildfire. By lunchtime, nearly everyone knew his name.

But it wasn't just about the fight.

It was about him.

"He looks like a movie star."

"No, more like a boss in a martial arts manhwa."

"He barely even reacted when he beat those guys. It's like he's done this a hundred times before."

His sharp features, chiseled jawline, and piercing eyes made him stand out. But what truly made people uneasy—or excited—was the aura around him. He wasn't loud. He wasn't cocky.

He was calm. Cold. Unshaken.

Like a storm waiting to strike.

A New Challenger

Wei was sitting alone in the cafeteria when someone slammed a tray down in front of him.

"You're the new guy, huh?"

Wei looked up.

A tall, broad-shouldered student stood over him. Lim Taegon. A known brawler, infamous for breaking a guy's ribs in a fight last month. His lackeys gathered around, smirking.

"You think you're some big deal because you dropped a few nobodies?" Taegon sneered. "This isn't the streets. This is J High. You need to know your place."

Wei remained seated, eyes calm. "And what place do you think I should be in?"

Taegon grinned, cracking his knuckles. "On the ground."

Silence spread across the cafeteria. People were already whispering.

"Taegon's challenging him?"

"He's gonna wreck the new guy."

"This is gonna be good."

Wei exhaled and stood up.

The room felt smaller. The air heavier.

"Outside," Wei said simply. "Now."

The Fight

The schoolyard was packed. Students formed a loose circle around them. Betting started.

Taegon cracked his neck, grinning. "You sure about this? I'll give you one chance to walk away."

Wei met his gaze. Expressionless. Unshaken.

The bell rang in the distance.

Then Taegon rushed in.

A powerful right hook fast, brutal.

Wei didn't move.

At the last second, he tilted his head slightly. The punch barely grazed his cheek.

Then, before Taegon could reset Wei struck.

A blazing-fast jab clean, precise snapped Taegon's head back. His nose burst open with blood.

The crowd gasped.

But Wei wasn't done.

He stepped in, closing the distance, and delivered a brutal liver shot. Taegon's body convulsed as pain flooded his system.

Before he could even collapse, Wei grabbed his collar and executed a flawless Judo throw. Taegon hit the pavement with a sickening thud.

Silence.

Then cheers.

Wei dusted off his uniform and turned away.

He had nothing left to say.

The rumors would spread.
