Chapter 33: Invasion of the Land Kingdom 12

The Edel unit raced through the gaps in the enemy formation, then reversed and charged into the Royal Army's rear.

The Royal Army fell into complete chaos. "How are enemy cavalry here?" "Counterattack and respond!"

Led by Edel, they tore through the enemy ranks like a wedge. Victoria also swung her spear, piercing enemy backs without a trace of hesitation. "Hyahoo!" Stein burst into the enemy lines alone, swinging his battle axe and piling up enemy corpses.

"Hey, it's dangerous to rush out alone!" Edel shouted anxiously. "No, this is normal for me," Yan replied extremely calmly. "Is that normal?" "Yes, so please don't worry. He'll come back with a calm face soon enough." "What an outrageous fellow." "Yes, exactly."

The Schwarz unit and the feudal lords' army collided. The feudal lords, already low on fighting spirit and unprepared for battle, were instantly thrown into disarray. "The enemy is unsteady, push in all at once!" The Schwarz army attacked with overwhelming force.

"Well now." Angelle of the Central Army was considering his next move. The strategy had succeeded, with the cavalry unit penetrating the enemy's rear. Angelle's unit, which was to protect the space between the right and left wings until the cavalry's breakthrough, had accomplished its mission and was now a mobile force. It was time to take proactive action.

"Otto, take 3,000 troops and reinforce Victoria's army. I'll go finish off the feudal lords with the remaining 2,000." "Father, are you okay with just 2,000?" "It's fine. They're already as good as dead. 2,000 is more than enough."

"Moreover, you have more military talent than me. So when attacking the Royal Army, feel free to adapt with strategies if you can. But you're still young, so I'll attach the experienced Metzen as your advisor. This is your chance to show your capabilities. Go and make your mark."

"Father, what a blessed opportunity!" Otto's face flushed with excitement as he shouted. "Metzen, let's go." "As you command, Metzen will stake his life to protect the young master." Otto's unit departed, raising a cloud of dust. "Well then, shall we go?"

The feudal lords' army, already being pushed back by the Schwarz army, completely collapsed when Angelle's army struck from the side. They scattered in all directions.

"Lord Schwarz, our army's losses are minimal. Shall we immediately pursue?" "Good. They were disorganized to begin with. They'll flee back to their own territories. They're no threat. Leave them be."

"Angelle, you saved us." "What, I merely delivered the final blow. Our unit doesn't even have any wounded. If all battles were like this, it would be easy." "Alright, after reorganizing, we'll go reinforce Victoria's army." "Doesn't seem necessary."

"Hey, the enemy Royal Army looks on the verge of collapse." "Yes, trampled by the cavalry from the rear, they're about to break completely." Otto ordered his deputy Rosing. "Rosing, take 2,500 and deliver the final blow to the enemy. I'll wait here with 500." "Young master, what are you planning?" "Something more interesting than just defeating the Royal Army. Let's go, Metzen." "Metzen will always remain by the young master's side."

Rosing's army struck the Royal Army's flank. Already unsteady, some began fleeing from the rear, which caused others to start running as well. The rear began to crumble. "Alright! The enemy has broken. Time to make our mark!" Stein cheered.

"Trample them!" Edel commanded.

"Now! Chase the enemies fleeing to the royal castle!" Otto dispatched his order. 500 troops charged.

They seemed to be somewhat important people, so they couldn't be prevented from entering. The castle gate remained open. Otto's unit entered the castle interior, mixed in with the enemy troops. "Lord Edel, over there!" Yan pointed toward the gate.

"That flag... Otto Angelle. He's successfully exploited a weakness." Edel exclaimed in admiration.

"Yes, capturing the gate is more important than mopping up remaining troops. If we secure the gate, Londium will fall."

"Listen everyone, Otto's unit has exploited a weakness. We will support Otto's unit." Edel pointed at Londium's castle gate.

"If we secure that gate, Londium will fall."

"And if Londium falls..."

Here, Edel paused for a moment. The entire surrounding army fell silent. In that silence, Edel's voice rang out.

"This war is over."

At that moment, a great cheer erupted around them. Everyone was waving their weapons and shouting.

"This is the final battle. Stay sharp!" The cavalry charged toward the gate, cheering.

"Whoa, this is quite serious." "We asked for this. But if we hold this, we'll be first in military achievements." "Well, it's not a hopeless situation. Let's just do our best." Otto's unit had successfully occupied the gate through a surprise attack but was now struggling, attacked by more than double their number.

Then Edel's unit burst in. Leading the charge, of course, was Stein, swinging his battle axe. 500 cavalry followed behind him. "What—" The enemies were killed without understanding what was happening.

With Edel's unit's reinforcements, the gate was secured. Looking around, Victoria's unit and Rosing's 7,000 troops, along with Schwarz and Angelle's 12,000, were nearby.

The enemy army outside had already been annihilated.

Londium's castle gate was secured.
