Chapter 6: Friends

That night Stefan, who was present, initially wanted to spend time with his wife, . "You can make up for your mistake if you stay at home tomorrow," she said, "Let's get to know each other," she added, looking expectantly for his response. Stefan found himself struggling to answer.

"Come on, you only spend your time at work, not with me," she said, pulling away from his embrace. Feeling defeated, Stefan finally agreed, he didn't know why he agreed. "Good, then let's make it every Saturday and Sunday that you spend time at home with me," she proposed. "Sure." he replied, realizing he to wanted to spend time with her.

At the Golden Villa, Aiden a childhood friend of stephan , had arrived, and Stefan was present Micah greeted him warmly. "Welcome!" she said. "Ah, you must be Stefan's wife. What a beauty," Aiden remarked, causing Micah to chuckle. "Thanks," she replied, while Stefan felt a twinge of annoyance at the compliment.

He wrapped his arm possessively around Micah's waist. "She's taken," he said, making Aiden chuckle in response. "Let's go inside," Micah suggested, sensing the jealousy in the air.

In Stefan's study room, the two guys were conversing. "Guess what? My cousin Alfonso is arriving. He's back from abroad, and Grandpa is really happy," Aiden said. "It's really annoying to see how he compares me to him, even though he's my younger brother." Stefan listened, his expression neutral.

"Can you imagine? That rascal is calling me 'uncle.' Sigh. And I'm not even old yet. Am I?" Aiden complained. Stefan didn't respond.

"You should come over," Aiden continued, placing two cards on the table. "It's in two weeks' time. Old Toshio wants to meet you and your wife. He would really love to meet Micah since she's new to the family," he said happily. "He wants Alfonso to learn from you since you're pretty good at what you do."

Stefan rolled his eyes and looked at the card. "Sure," he replied. Just then, Micah knocked on the door and she received a "come in, she walked in.

"Food is ready," she said. "Would you like to be served?". "Sure stephan said.

"And your friend?"

"yes mademoiselle," Aiden replied. "I would definitely love to be served." she chuckled and left the room.

Aiden had a funny way of talking, she thought to herself as shewalked away. "You really know how to sweet-talk the ladies. You haven't changed," Stefan remarked.

"What can I say, bro? That's my specialty," he grinned.

At the dining table, Micah had served the food, and everyone started eating. "This tastes delicious!" Aiden exclaimed, biting into the chicken. "You really are a prodigy," he said. She smiled.

Stefan felt a twinge of annoyance as he continued eating. After she finished her meal, she began clearing the plates. Aiden insisted on helping her, but Stefan stepped in, wanting to assist her himself. He didn't want anyone getting too close to her.

Seeing Stefan help Micah out, Aiden thought she was the right woman for him, he knew she was the right woman for him. He was happy seeing them together, hoping his friend would treat his wife with love and care. She was a sweet lady, and he could feel it. Suddenly, he received a message. "I have to go," he said, standing up.

As Stefan turned back to look at him, Aiden added, "Thanks for the food."See you, pretty lady." he said

Micah felt glad and appreciated the compliments from Aiden. She thought he was funny and charming.

Stefan and Micah continued washing the dishes. As their hands brushed against each other, it sent a tingle through Micah. Stefan dried the plate with a towel, and Micah liked this simple moment. It felt comfortable, and she imagined that they could do this together often. He was focused and handsome, his brows furrowed in concentration. She bet he had never washed a plate or even cleaned up after himself before.

Noticing the smile plastered on her face, Stefan figured out what she was thinking. "You think I've never washed a plate before?" he asked, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, kind of," she said with a playful grin.

"I've done it before," he replied, placing a cup on the shelf. She smiled, enjoying the intimacy of the moment.

After they finished cleaning the dishes, the two of them sat down on the pavilion, watching the view . It was peaceful as they enjoyed the scenery,

Stefan, would you like to go to church with me?" she asked.

"What is that?" he replied, curious.

"It's a place where you go to worship God, pray for what you want, and many other things," she explained. He was aware of churches but didn't believe in God.

"No, I can't," he said, noting her sad expression. "I'll be busy."

Micah wanted him to come to church with her, hoping they could pray together and that he would grow closer to God. She wouldn't force him, but she planned to persuade him little by little. "Okay, sure," she replied, not wanting to push too hard.

Later, in the study room, Stefan examined the two cards placed on the table, as he sipped his wine.

The next day, Micah went to church. After the service ended, she met Gina, a friend she had made during a group service. Gina was friendly and a talkative, which she enjoyed being with.

The two of them decided to go to a nearby café. "So, how is your husband? Are you happy?" Gina asked with excitement. "It must be thrilling to be married to Stefan." Micah smiled. "Yeah, it's good," she replied. Sipping her coffee.

It had always been Micah's dream to marry Stefan. She had been crushing on him since high school, but he had never noticed her. Despite her hopes, it had always felt like a one-sided crush. Still, she was happy they were family friends, as her mother and his parents were close, allowing her to see him whenever there were family gatherings.
