Chapter 3-: JUST ANOTHER GOOD CLASS

The school day continued, and after the nerve-wracking math class, the students finally had a moment to breathe. Some were busy revising for the surprise test tomorrow, while others simply wanted to get through the rest of the day without any more stress.

Just as everyone settled down, the classroom door opened once again, signaling the start of the next period.

A woman in a well-fitted blazer and skirt stepped in, her posture exuding authority but not intimidation. She smiled warmly at the class, her presence immediately filling the room with an air of intelligence and grace.

"Good morning, students. I'm Miss Evelyn Carter, your English teacher." She placed her books on the desk and glanced around the room. "I hope you're all ready to dive into literature because, in my class, stories come alive."

(Her voice was calm yet captivating, making even the most uninterested students sit up a little straighter.)

"Now, let's start with introductions. I want each of you to say your name and the last book you read—if you don't read, at least tell me a story you remember."

The students exchanged glances, some excited, some nervous. The new session was truly beginning, and with it, new challenges awaited.

Miss Carter smiled as she leaned against the teacher's desk, waiting for the students to introduce themselves.

"Alright, let's start from the front row," she said, gesturing to the first student.

One by one, the students introduced themselves, some confidently stating their favorite books, while others hesitated, struggling to remember the last time they read anything other than their textbooks.

Ryan: "I'm Ryan, and uh… I don't really read books, but I remember watching Sherlock Holmes once. Does that count?"

Miss Carter (chuckles): "Close enough, Ryan. Next!"

Olivia: "I'm Olivia, and I read Pride and Prejudice last year. It was okay, I guess."

Mason: "I'm Mason, and I don't really like reading, but I did read The Hunger Games once. It was interesting."

(As the introductions continued, Yuna nervously waited for her turn. She loved stories, but she wasn't sure if her choice would seem childish. Finally, it was her turn.)

Yuna: "I'm Yuna, and I love fairy tales! The last one I read was Alice in Wonderland. I just love the way it takes you to another world."(As the introductions continued, Yuna nervously waited for her turn. She loved stories, but she wasn't sure if her choice would seem childish. Finally, it was her turn.)

Yuna: "I'm Yuna, and I love fairy tales! The last one I read was Alice in Wonderland. I just love the way it takes you to another world."

Some students chuckled, while others nodded in agreement.

Miss Carter: "That's a great choice, Yuna. A classic indeed!"

Then, it was Kai's turn. He sighed, clearly uninterested in the activity.

Kai: "I'm Kai, and I… uh… don't really read books. But I remember a story my mom told me about a warrior who fought against fate to protect his people.

Miss Carter: "That's still a story, Kai. Well said."

After all the students had introduced themselves, Miss Carter clapped her hands together.

"Well, that was fun! Now, let's get started with today's lesson. We're going to explore storytelling and why it has shaped human history."

With that, the class dove into an engaging discussion about literature, and for the first time that day, the students actually enjoyed their lesson—well, most of them.

As the bell rang, signaling the end of the fourth period, students let out a collective sigh of relief.

Miss Carter picked up her book in her hand. "Okay, class, I think you got bored."

The entire class smiled. "No, ma'am!"

Miss Carter chuckled. "Should I take your lunch break and continue the class instead?"

All the students' faces dropped in disappointment.

Miss Carter laughed. "I'm just kidding! Okay, enjoy your lunch, all of you."

She started walking out of the class, and all the students stood up and said, "Thank you, Miss Carter."

and then Bags started zipped, chairs scraped against the floor, and excited chatter filled the classroom as everyone headed out for lunch.

Kai (stretching): "Finally! I thought that class would never end."

Yuna (chuckling): "You say that after every class."

Ryan (grinning): "Because every class does feel never-ending."

Mason (scared look): "I thought the class would never end—it haunted me."

Ryan (chuckling): "Don't mind Yuna and Kai, he's just a drama king."

Mason (pouting): "Shut up, okay? I don't like studying."

Ryan: "Yeah, yeah, okay. Can we go now? My stomach is growling."

Everyone laughed as they started walking out. Mason suddenly stopped at Hannah's desk

Mason (shyly): "H-Hannah, y-you're not going with us?"

Hannah looked surprised. "Can I go?"

Ryan: "Of course! Let's go."

Yuna (smiling): "Of course, Hannah. Come with us."

Hannah's face lit up. "Aww, you all are so sweet! I thought no one would be my friend. You guys are the best."

Mason (shyly): "T-Thank you."

Kai: "It's okay, let's go."

Yuna held Hannah's hand. "Come on, Hannah."

(They started heading toward the cafeteria, but Mason and Ryan were at the back. Ryan nudged Mason with his elbow.)

Ryan (whispering): "Dude, your face is red."

Mason (shocked): "W-What are you saying?"

Ryan: "I said your face is red. Are you feeling sick?"

Mason: "N-No!"

Ryan: "Then why is your voice shaking?"

Mason: "N-Noo, I'm okay."

Ryan chuckled and mumbled, "I know what's going on."

Mason (nervous): "What do you mean?"

Ryan: "Nothing, bro… just something I know."

Mason: "You—" but before he could say more, Kai interrupted.

Kai: "Hey, what are you two talking about?"

Ryan (casually): "Oh, nothing. Just wondering what's on the lunch menu."

Mason (quickly): "Y-Yeah, that's it."

Kai: "Ooo-kay…"

As they got closer to the cafeteria, Kai suddenly stopped.

Kai: "Yuna."

Yuna turned. "Hmm? What happened?"

Kai scratched the back of his head. "I need to go to the washroom. You guys go ahead, I'll catch up in a minute."

Yuna: "Okay."

When Kai trun to go towards the washroom ryan voice stop him..

Ryan (raising an eyebrow): "Dude… the washroom isn't that way."

Kai (confused): "Huh? Then where is it?"

Mason: "I-I'll show you."

Ryan (smirking): "I'd come too, but my stomach won't let me. You guys go ahead, we'll get the food."

Kai: "Okay. Mason, let's go. Yuna, start eating without me and eat properly okey "

Yuna (smiling): "Okay."

Ryan: "Let's go, girls."

The three of them walked toward the cafeteria. They grabbed their trays and moved to the food stalls.

Ryan: "Mmm, this looks good."

Hannah: "Yeah, it looks yummy!"

They started picking their food, one item at a time. Once they were done, they scanned the cafeteria for an empty table.

Yuna tapped Hannah's shoulder. "Hey, there's an empty table over there. Let's go."

(As Hannah turned to head toward the table Yuna pointed at, her foot stumbled. Her hands flailed in the air, trying to regain balance, but it was too late. The tray in her hands flew up, and in that exact moment, Vanessa was walking by with her group of friends.)

SPLAT!

All the food landed straight on Vanessa. The entire cafeteria fell silent. Shocked gasps filled the room as students stood up from their seats, eager to witness what would happen next.

(And then…....)
