Chapter - 6 : "The Price of a Fight"

Vanessa: "Hey, Hannah! Give me that ball!"

Mason: "No, Hannah. Don't give it to her. If she wants it, she can take it herself."

Vanessa smirked. "Look at this, girls. The protector is shielding his little princess again!" (Her friends laughed along with her.) "Listen, protector—she ruined my uniform by spilling food on me. Do you have any idea how expensive it is? She humiliated me in front of everyone!" So why are you protecting her now !.

Mason: "It was an accident. She already apologized."

Vanessa crossed her arms. "And you think a simple sorry is enough? She hurt me, and you're still taking her side?" Seriously.

Mason: "Because it really was an accident. She didn't mean to do it. So stop making a big deal out of it and just let it go like a mature person."

Vanessa let out a sarcastic laugh. "Let it go? Me? Never!" She suddenly raised her voice. ("Hannah, give me the ball! NOW!")

(Hannah flinched at Vanessa's sharp tone.)

Before she could react, Yuna stepped forward. "Vanessa, enough. You're blowing this way out of proportion. Just stop already."

Vanessa rolled her eyes. "Oh, look who it is—the crybaby's babysitter." She smirked. "And now you're standing up for her? Listen, you idiot, I'm not the one dragging this out—she embarrassed me! So shut your mouth and don't talk to me."

( Meanwhile, on the other side, Kai stood watching with a small smile.)

"Damn… she looks even cuter when she's mad," he thought. "I think I'm falling for her even more."

Kai thought: "Vanessa is super cool… I like her! Awwww.

He smiled and stepped forward. "Guys, please, can we stop this? We're all in the same class, so why are we even fighting over something so small?"

Vanessa turned her face toward Kai, her expression cold. "Losers should stay out of it."

Kai blushed "S-She looked at me! Our eyes locked! Oh my god… I can die peacefully now…" (Kai thoughts)

Vanessa rolled her eyes and turned back to Hannah. "Hey, crybaby! Give me that ball already. Why are you just standing there?"

Yuna stepped forward, her voice firm. "Vanessa, that's enough. She's not your servant!"

Vanessa stepped closer to Yuna, a smirk playing on her lips. "You know what? If I gave her money, she'd be my servant right now."

She turned her gaze toward Hannah, who stood with her head down. Vanessa chuckled. "Right, Hannah? Aww, so cute."

Then, she shifted her eyes back to Yuna. "And you, latecomer… listen. If I pay you, would you be my assistant? I can pay you extra if you want. Just do as I say, loser."

Yuna clenched her fists. "Vanessa, do you really think money can get you everything? Seriously? Huh?"

Vanessa tossed her hair back confidently. "Of course! I can achieve anything with money, right girls?"

Her friends chimed in from behind. "Of course! Vanessa is right!"

Yuna let out a dry chuckle. "You're living in a delusion, Vanessa. Ohhh, now I get it. That's why your so-called 'friends' stick around—because of your money."

Vanessa's smirk vanished, replaced by a glare. "How dare you say that? They're with me because they actually want to be my friends!"

Yuna smirked. "Oh really? Then let's see… if you didn't have money, would they still be around with you ?"

Vanessa's jaw tightened. "They will always be with me, you loser!"

(The tension in the air was thick, and whispers spread across the crowd of students watching the scene unfold...)

(A deep, authoritative voice suddenly cut through the chaos.)

"What is going on here? Why Are you all shouting during my period?"

(The entire class fell silent, and even Vanessa and her friends stopped mid-sentence. Slowly, they turned to see who had spoken.)

(Standing before them was a well-built man with an imposing height, a serious expression, and an aura of authority. His piercing gaze swept over the students, making them shift uncomfortably.)

{"Make a line! Fast!" he commanded.}

(No one dared to disobey. Within seconds, all the students formed a straight line, the once-loud playground now tensed silent under his intimidating aura.)

(His deep, commanding voice echoed across the field.)

"I am Coach Harris. I am never late to my class. But today, I arrive five minutes late, only to witness students fighting?!" His eyes scanned the group. "We teach you discipline and manners at Crestview High, yet you dare to break the rules?"

His voice grew colder. "I do not tolerate students who break the rules. If you want to fight, then leave Crestview High—you don't deserve to study here."

He took a step forward. "Now, those who were involved in the fight—step forward."

(The students murmured among themselves, their eyes darting toward Vanessa and Yuna. Slowly, both girls stepped forward.)

Coach Harris folded his arms. "Not just you two. Call your friends as well."

[ Vanessa's friends—Chloe, Amber, and Sasha—exchanged hesitant glances before stepping beside her. On the other side, Ryan, Mason, Kai, and Hannah stood next to Yuna.]

(Coach Harris's sharp eyes narrowed at the nine students standing before him.)

"So, nine of you think teachers are fools? That we don't know what happens when we're not around?" His voice was laced with disapproval.

"All nine of you— ten rounds of this ground. Now!"

Vanessa snapped her head up, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"But sir!" she protested. "My friends and I did nothing! It was them!" She quickly pointed at Yuna's group. "They were the ones fighting with us. Why are we being punished too?"

Coach Harris's gaze locked onto her, his eyes unreadable.

"What's your name?" he asked.

A confident smirk appeared on Vanessa's face. "Sir, I'm Vanessa Sinclair."

Coach Harris raised an eyebrow. "Miss Sinclair, listen carefully. When I walked into this playground, the only voice I heard was yours. Don't make excuses."

Vanessa's jaw clenched. "But sir, my father is a trustee of this school!"

Coach Harris let out a dry chuckle. "Oh? So your father pays my salary, does he?"

Vanessa's confidence wavered. "N-no, sir! That's not what I meant..." she mumbled, lowering her head.

Coach Harris didn't bother responding futher . "All nine of you—including you, Miss Sinclair, whose father apparently pays my salary—will run ten rounds. And the rest of the class, since none of you stepped in to stop the fight, you'll run six rounds. Also, P.E. class is canceled for one week. Now, start running!"

[A collective sigh spread across the students. Mason immediately started running, with Hannah, Yuna, Kai, and Ryan following behind. Vanessa, Sasha, Amber, and Chloe reluctantly began as well, their faces already twisted in frustration.]

[The ground was massive, and the blazing sun made it even worse. Sweat dripped down their faces as exhaustion slowly took over.]

("Run! And reflect on your mistakes!" Coach Harris commanded.)

Vanessa huffed, struggling to keep up. "I... I'm done. Chloe, how many rounds have we finished?" she panted.

Chloe, equally breathless, barely managed to reply. "Only two, Vanessa..."

Sasha groaned. "I need water... Oh god, I've never run this much in my life!"

(Around them, students glared at Vanessa, clearly blaming her for this punishment.)

Vanessa rolled her eyes. "Hey, losers, stop glaring at me! It's not my fault so run and glare yuna! Run, you stupid idiots!"

Chloe placed a hand on Vanessa's shoulder. "Calm down, Vanessa. You're wasting your energy by talking."

Vanessa sighed. "Y-yeah, you're right..."

[Meanwhile, in Yuna's group]—

"Hannah, are you okay?" Mason asked, glancing at her.

Hannah nodded weakly. "Y-yeah, I'm okay..."

Ryan, running beside them, looked at Mason in disbelief. "Dude, aren't you tired?"

Mason shook his head. "Nah, I run every morning. This is nothing."

Ryan gasped for air. "I salute you, bro. From now on, I'm joining your morning runs."

Mason chuckled. "Sounds good, but for now—just focus on running."

[On the other side]—

Kai groaned dramatically. "I'm going to die, Yu !"

Yuna rolled her eyes. "You'll survive. Just stop whining and keep running!"

(Soon, most of the students had completed their rounds, collapsing onto the grass, breathless and exhausted. Only Yuna's group and Vanessa's group remained, still struggling to finish their laps.)

(Vanessa and her friends lagged far behind, their faces drenched in sweat, legs barely moving as they gasped for air. Meanwhile, Yuna's group pushed forward, tired but determined.)

(Some students who had already finished sat on the sidelines, watching the scene unfold. A few glared at Vanessa, blaming her for dragging them into this punishment. Others simply laughed, shaking their heads at how things had escalated.)

(One by one, the remaining students crossed the finish line, collapsing from exhaustion. Despite the hardship, a strange sense of camaraderie filled the air.)

(This was the reality of school life—where teachers' punishments could be harsh, but in the end, they became memories. Some hated it, some laughed about it, but one thing was certain—these moments would stay with them forever.)

----------------------------------------------------------

Hahh, Vanessa finally got the punishment she deserved! But honestly, I feel bad for Yuna's group and the rest of the class. Still, what can I do? This PE teacher is super strict! Let's see how things unfold in the future…
