Chapter 6: Nothing Is a Problem in Front of Foodies

Back at the rental, Xiao Cheng first made lunch for Sisi.

This time, with all the necessary ingredients, he prepared several delicious dishes. Sisi couldn't stop praising the food, her eyes curving into happy crescents as she ate.

"Okay, Sisi is all clean now," Xiao Cheng said with a smile as he carefully wiped her mouth. "Later, Sisi will call Aunt Liu to invite her over for dinner. In the meantime, you can rest in the room while Papa prepares a new home for you. Sound good?"

"Okay, Papa! Sisi will be good!" she chirped before running off to make the call.

On the other end of the call, Liu Meier hung up, feeling a little puzzled.

Is he really cooking himself? she wondered. How can that compare to the Michelin three-star chefs I hired?

Shaking her head, she decided not to think too much about it. Although she was a little curious about Xiao Cheng, she had her orders. President Shen had instructed her not to test Xiao Cheng but to find reasons to refuse him.

After all, Shen Jiaoyue never intended to let Sisi stay with him.

Xiao Cheng, unaware of this, closed the door gently and turned to the living room.

Looking at the piles of newly bought items, he got to work.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host! First-time cleaning completed. Reward: Cleaning Knowledge +999! Cleaning Ability +999!"

Suddenly, a flood of knowledge about proper cleaning techniques filled Xiao Cheng's mind. His hands moved with expert precision, and he swiftly tidied up the house, making every corner spotless.

"Done! Now, let's set up Sisi's room," he said to himself.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host! First-time furniture installation completed. Reward: Home Decoration Knowledge +999!"

Taking into account the house size, the furniture he had bought, and Sisi's needs, Xiao Cheng quickly planned the perfect room for her.

A special princess bed, a soft carpet, safe rubber guardrails, and adorable decorations—everything was carefully chosen to create the best environment for his little girl.

Before long, a warm and cozy princess-themed room was ready. Xiao Cheng looked around and nodded with satisfaction.

"It's not the most luxurious, but it's definitely the most comfortable room for Sisi," he said with a smile.

After finishing up in the living room, bathroom, and kitchen, Xiao Cheng moved on to preparing dinner. By the time the sun had set, everything was ready.

"Whew! It's strange not sweating even after working all day," he muttered to himself.

Ever since his body had been enhanced, he had reached the peak of human fitness. No matter how much he worked, he never felt tired. The realization felt a little surreal.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Xiao Cheng opened it and found Liu Meier standing outside.

"Miss Liu, please come in," he greeted her politely.

"A-Ah, okay…" Liu Meier stammered, feeling her face heat up.

His perfect posture, his refined demeanor—everything about him was impeccable. Is this really the same man from before?

"This is the new home I prepared for Sisi," Xiao Cheng said, gesturing toward the living room. "I didn't have much time, so it's a simple setup for now. I'll improve it later."

Liu Meier took a glance around. Seeing the modestly furnished living space, she felt relieved.

Good, she thought. Now I have a reason to refuse.

"Sisi, Aunt Liu is here. Get ready for dinner," Xiao Cheng called out.

"Okay, Baba! Sisi is coming!"

Sisi ran over excitedly and jumped into Xiao Cheng's arms.

He picked her up effortlessly. "Come on, let's wash your hands."

Carrying Sisi to the kitchen, Xiao Cheng went to help her clean up, while Liu Meier followed behind.

The moment she stepped inside, she frowned.

Having seen the kitchens of Michelin three-star chefs, she was used to the best of the best. At first glance, Xiao Cheng's kitchen seemed simple.

But then she looked closer.

Every single ingredient and utensil was carefully selected. There were no unnecessary items—only the absolute best for Sisi.

Even those top chefs had never been this meticulous.

Is he really this thoughtful? she wondered.

By the time she snapped out of her thoughts, Xiao Cheng had already finished washing Sisi's hands and led her to the dining room.

The moment Liu Meier stepped in, a mouthwatering aroma hit her.

She had eaten before coming here, yet her appetite suddenly surged.

"Why are you just standing there?" Xiao Cheng teased. "Need me to wash your hands for you too? Sit down and eat."

"Hee hee, Aunt Liu is blushing!" Sisi giggled.

"Sisi! What nonsense are you saying?" Liu Meier scolded playfully before heading to wash her hands.

When she sat down, she noticed a variety of dishes on the table—many of which she had never seen before. She picked one at random, took a bite, and froze.

"What's wrong? Is it not to your taste?" Xiao Cheng asked.

"N-No… Mr. Xiao, did you really cook these yourself?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Who else?" Xiao Cheng chuckled. "Hurry up and eat. After dinner, I'll show you Sisi's room so she can go to bed early."

He then focused on carefully feeding Sisi, paying no further attention to Liu Meier.

She sat there, stunned.

In front of her was a man who was perfect in every way—gentle, capable, thoughtful. How could she possibly take Sisi away from him?

She had been given an order, but now… she had no reason to refuse him.

Pushing those thoughts aside, she picked up her chopsticks again and, before she knew it, was eating with large bites.

By the time she finished, she realized two pairs of eyes—one big and one small—were staring at her.

"Looks like Miss Liu enjoyed the meal," Xiao Cheng said, amused. "Now, let me show you Sisi's room."
