Chapter 7 - New World

White Night looked at the jungle in front of him and the sea behind him, with no choice but to enter the jungle. After walking through the jungle, avoiding animals, he finally found a village. Approaching the village, he hid to understand the situation first.

After observing for a while, he saw a fish-like man entering the village. The man approached the villagers and began arguing with them. After a while, a man with a scar on his face, Genzo, arrived. Now White Night knows which world he has come to: pirates. He is in Nami's village. After seeing Genzo give money to the fish-man, the fish-man left the village. White Night moved away a bit and hid, because now he has to think of his next plan.

He is very weak; this world has very high combat power. Any mistake could cost him his life. Although he can leave this world at any time, if he encounters someone much stronger than him, he could be killed instantly before he can react.

While thinking about the plot of the pirate anime, he began to remember the story and consider who to bring to his team. Thinking of the heroines, he seriously wants to bring them all to the family, but his strength is currently very limited. Wandering the pirate world is asking for death. He returned to the village, now using appraisal on the residents to get an idea of the combat power of ordinary people. Everyone has F+ attributes, and some residents even have E-level stats. Thinking about it, Arlong must have at least D-level combat power.

He searched until he found Nami and Nojiko's house, approached, and saw Nojiko hanging clothes. When Nojiko saw someone approaching, she thought it was Nami who had forgotten something.

"Nami, have you returned already?"

When she turned around and saw that it was not Nami, she became alert.

"I'm sorry to startle you, but I was traveling with my family and we were attacked by pirates. I came to the beach with a piece of wood. When I was looking for someone, I saw some fish-men on this island. Since I had seen their bounty, I got scared and hid."

Nojiko listened to what White Night said and saw that he was of a similar age to her and lowered her guard a little.

"You're right, they are pirates. They set up a base here on our island and kidnapped our village to make us pay taxes to them. I advise you not to let them find you, otherwise you could be killed by them."

Nojiko felt quite sympathetic to White Night. With a very handsome appearance, it is much easier to gain the trust of women, especially now that she knows he was attacked by pirates. With the history of their village, she will not reject White Night.

"Come with me, let's go inside. I'll give you some water and food, you must be hungry."

White Night did not refuse, otherwise it would be very strange for him to have shipwrecked and not be hungry or thirsty. Following Nojiko into the house. After entering the house, Nojiko asked him to sit at the table while she started making something for him to eat and talked to him while doing so, asking various things from outside the island. Taking advantage of knowing some things through the anime, he managed to deceive Nojiko.

While the two became more familiar, the food was ready. She served it to White Night and took some too. It was close to lunchtime. The two ate together. Nojiko talked a lot with him, perhaps because they were of the same age, she became closer to him.

In the village, there is no one of her and Nami's age for them to play with, so she has always been more reserved, unlike Nami, who went out to try her best to save the village. She has no navigation skills or strength. Although she wants to be able to help too, she feels powerless. She is not as brave as Nami in this regard, so she can only stay at home to support Nami and not hinder her. Bell-mère's death was a great shock to her and Nami. So, each reacted in a different way.

Seeing Nojiko telling the things that happened in the village, talking with him, White Night knows how much these sisters suffered. He also liked them very much when he learned the internal story. As they became more familiar, she also knew that White Night had nowhere to go. On impulse, she ended up inviting him to stay at her house. After realizing that it was not very appropriate, she felt a little embarrassed. But White Night gladly accepted, because this would make things much easier for him. Afterwards, the two went to the tangerine plantation, which had to be maintained. Nojiko introduced things to White Night, and he helped to make her work easier. As they became more familiar, Nojiko liked White Night more and more. Perhaps because there are no boys of his age in the village, she feels attracted to White Night.

For an entire week, they played and worked in the plantations. Sometimes, when a fish-man appeared in the village, Nojiko hid White Night. She didn't even tell the villagers about him, fearing someone would say something and the fish-men would capture White Night.

Today, Nami returned to the village, very happy to be back home. She managed to steal from some pirates and gathered more money to pay off the village's debt. As she passed through the village, Nami put on an arrogant face, as she had to disguise herself as a pirate from Arlong's gang to deceive the villagers. Everyone looked at Nami and pretended to glare at her, even though they knew she was doing it for the village. They could only accept it in silence, as they had no way to challenge the pirates.

Arriving home, when she entered, she saw a man in the kitchen. White Night heard the noise and thought it was Nojiko, when suddenly he saw an attack coming towards him. He quickly dodged and counterattacked. Nojiko, in the living room, heard the noise and thought Arlong had found White Night, and she ran to the kitchen. When she arrived, she saw Nami fighting him, and she could only scream for them to stop.

Seeing Nojiko, White Night quickly backed away. He had already identified Nami, but no matter what he said, she always attacked. Nami saw Nojiko talking and stopped attacking.

"Nojiko, who is this person?" Nami asked, grumpy. She went out to earn money, and when she returned, she found someone deceiving Nojiko.

"Nami, he is White Night. His family's boat was attacked by pirates near our island, and they died. He managed to reach our island with a piece of wood," Nojiko explained.

Nami listened to Nojiko telling the whole story, but she was still cautious of White Night. She had always been suspicious of everyone, but due to Nojiko's insistence, she had to accept White Night in their house for now.

"Humph... if you dare to do anything to my sister, I will kill you. I am from Arlong's gang," Nami lied to put fear into White Night. He could only nod helplessly at Nami's distrust and was glad he had gone straight to Nojiko. Without strong power to gain Nami's gratitude by defeating Arlong, making friends with Nami now is very difficult.

After White Night finished lunch, Nami was surprised that White Night's food was so delicious, but she didn't comment, keeping a stern face the whole time. Nojiko knew her sister and could only give White Night an apologetic look.

And so began White Night's routine to gain some of Nami's trust, but he didn't force it, knowing he couldn't rush. Nami, seeing Nojiko and White Night so close, became jealous of her sister. Seeing White Night's appearance and calculating his age, her sister must have fallen in love with White Night.

Another week passed, and Nami couldn't stand the interaction between Nojiko and White Night, always eating "dog food." She slightly improved her opinion of White Night, seeing that he had no malice towards them, but it was difficult to accept her sister being "kidnapped." She decided to go out again.

Seeing her sister wanting to go out again, Nojiko was worried. Seeing Nojiko's concern, White Night knew her worries, so he said:

"Nami, let me go with you. Your sister is worried about you going out to sea alone."

"No," Nami said, without thinking.

White Night knew it was dangerous for him to go out, but to gain their trust, he needed to take this step. Under White Night's insistence and Nojiko's request, Nami finally agreed. After hiding and going to the back of the island, Nami came to pick him up with the sailboat.

Seeing White Night getting into the boat, Nami huffed. White Night could only watch helplessly. Nami was too proud to ask for help and accept help from strangers. With Nami navigating in this maritime area she knew well, the journey was smooth. White Night was always afraid of encountering a Sea King.

Soon, they arrived at an island. Nami stopped the boat and told White Night to wait on the boat. Seeing the pirate ships parked in the harbor, he knew she was going to steal their treasures. Knowing she always did this, he accepted Nami's decision. He wasn't a professional thief, he could worsen Nami's situation.

Soon after, Nami went towards the harbor. Seeing this, he couldn't help but shake his head at the risky life she lived every day. After 2 hours, Nami returned running with a large bag, threw it on the boat, and quickly sailed away. Seeing this, White Night didn't comment.

Soon after, shouts arose from the harbor, and two ships chased them. Nami used her talent, gaining speed and distance from the ships. After a while, one ship fell behind, but the other was catching up. The wind was weak, and Nami was panicking. Seeing this, White Night also got a little scared, because he knows how strong the physique of people in the pirate world is, so he can't guarantee he can defeat everyone now.

"Nami, when they get close, I'll jump onto their boat, and you use that time to run away with your boat."

White Night thought about sending Nami away and, in the worst-case scenario, returning to his own world.

Nami was in shock. She never thought White Night would sacrifice himself for her. She didn't know his thoughts; to her, staying was like death. She quickly refused, she couldn't do that. Nojiko would be very sad if she left White Night there. She had to think of a solution.

Meanwhile, the ship had already reached their side. White Night jumped onto the pirates' boat and quickly began appraising the pirates. Then, he let out a sigh of relief: their strength was F+, an average among pirates. Judging by their appearance, they must always indulge in drinks. There were a few with E-level stats, but only one or two.

Nami, seeing White Night facing the pirates, was terrified.

For White Night, these drunken pirates were not a strong threat. Despite the close stats, they didn't master any fighting arts, everything was a mess. For him, who had studied martial arts since childhood, he was much stronger.

So, he started fighting, grabbing the sword that was hanging at his waist. He drew it and went after the pirates. He wasn't using the dimensional backpack, as he didn't want to show his powers to Nami yet. Since this world has the concept of fruit powers, he doesn't want to reveal various abilities.

Time travel is his biggest secret, it can only be told when a contract is signed, even to close people.

Nami, who climbed up the side of the boat trembling, saw White Night dancing with the sword among the pirates, with her mouth open. She never thought he would fight so well.

While she was distracted, a pirate threw a dagger at her. Seeing this, she was startled and forgot to dodge. White Night, who was paying attention, quickly put his hand in front of the dagger's trajectory. He was defending himself from a pirate with the sword, and only had his free hand to stop the dagger.

Nami saw White Night stop the dagger with his hand, cutting it and making it bleed. She felt bad, she had hindered him. If she hadn't gone there, he wouldn't have been hurt.

White Night went and killed the pirate who launched the attack and went to kill the rest of the pirates. Seeing White Night so fierce, the pirates were scared.

White Night thought: these pirates are at the bottom of the pirate world, but he needs to rely on his martial arts experience to gain an advantage, otherwise he would have been killed a long time ago. He needs to get stronger.

After killing the last pirate, White Night sat on the floor, tired. This fight was very tough for him. Nami woke up and went to him and helped stop the bleeding from his hand, crying. She felt very moved that he had been hurt to save her.

She felt an attraction to White Night as well. As a woman, because of his appearance, it was difficult not to be moved, but since her sister likes him, she could only not have thoughts about him.

Seeing him sacrificing himself to save her life, she was very moved, but quickly recovered, wiping away the tears. After a bit of discomfort, White Night saw her situation, but he didn't talk about it, he knows Nami's pride.

He changed the subject to lighten the mood, he told her to search the ship to see if there was anything else of value. After everything, they returned to the small sailboat with the loot.

After returning to the island where Nami lived, she went to the back to let White Night get off first, then asked him to take the bag with him hidden.

"If you touch my money, I'll kill you."

White Night couldn't help but laugh. A person who loves gold like Nami letting him take the bag for her was already a sign of trust.

Then, he returned to the house, saw Nojiko sitting at the entrance with a lost look. Seeing this, he couldn't help but sigh.

"Nojiko, we're back."

Seeing this, Nojiko jumped up suddenly and saw White Night. She was very happy that he had returned, she had gotten used to him this week, now that he left, she missed him a lot.

"Nami is coming, she went to the back of the island to let me get off hidden."

A short time later, Nami returned. While the two were talking, she took the bag and left alone. Seeing this, White Night only glanced out of the corner of his eye, he knew what she was going to do.

After everything was ready, Nami returned home and they started the routine again, but Nojiko noticed that Nami was much softer towards White Night, without fighting with him, being more understanding.

Asking about Nami's changes to White Night, he could only sigh and tell her what happened. Nojiko was terrified, if Nami had been alone, she would have died or something worse.

She was very discouraged because she couldn't stop Nami. Seeing this, White Night said he would find a way.

Nojiko could only sigh.

While they were at home enjoying the daily routine, a fish-man approached the village. The villagers started warning everyone. Hearing the screams outside, Nami hid White Night.

A short time later, the fish-man came to their door.

"Nami, the boss is calling you."

Nami was already used to this, Arlong makes her draw nautical charts for him. Seeing Nami leaving, Nojiko was worried, but contained herself and went to White Night.

White Night wasn't too worried, he knows that Arlong values Nami's talent, he won't harm her for now.

While White Night was comforting Nojiko, Nami arrived at Arlong's base.

"What do you want, Arlong?" Nami said through clenched teeth. She hated Arlong more than anything.

Seeing this, Arlong didn't care, he was already used to it. As long as she could be used, he wouldn't do anything to her.

"I need you to draw a nautical chart of this area." He showed Nami on the map, she agreed to his request. She had already seen this area, it wasn't difficult for her, it would just take a while.

After comforting Nojiko, White Night suddenly spoke.

"Nojiko, if you could get stronger and help Nami, would you do it?"
