Summoned and Forgotten

Since Elysia was talking while looking at the globe, no one knew who the two she was referring to were.

They were still digesting all the knowledge they had gained right now, so no one thought much of it for the time being, as they would eventually find out.

The only two people with any kind of relationship here were Daiki and Aoi, as they were brother and sister, so maybe she was talking about them. Even Takuya felt that way.

Elysia spoke again.

"Do you know why I said it will be a good one? It's simple. Since your souls are stronger, you will definitely get at least an SS-grade class or an SSS-grade class if your luck is good.

Let's say one of you gets an SSS-grade class and the other gets an SS-grade class. This is where the fun begins. Since you guys will have the same class no matter what, both of you will get an SSS-grade class. Pretty good, right?

If I have to round it up, it increases your chances of getting an SSS-grade class. It would really be wonderful to have three SSS-grade classes in this world.

A lot of pressure will be released from everyone. But as I said, it will only increase your chances; nothing is written in stone. It's all up to luck now."

Finally, she looked at them.

"Now, I will allow you to ask only three questions. Go ahead and ask. If I feel like answering, then I will answer them."

They all looked at each other. Since there were only three questions, they decided to discuss first. Everyone wanted to ask one question in particular.

Are they dead on Earth? And that was what they asked. Tenka was the one who asked.

"What about our real world? Are we considered dead?"

"That is something I can answer. You guys aren't considered dead. Do you know why? Because you guys never existed in that world from the moment you were summoned here. Every single thing related to you has been erased thoroughly by your own god. Go for the second question now."

Their eyes widened when they heard that. Didn't that mean if they went back right now, there would be no home for them? Even their parents wouldn't remember them.

"Isn't it too cruel for us?" Aoi couldn't help but say.

Takuya didn't agree with her, though, as this might be the best solution, since he doubted that they were allowed to go back.

Elysia smiled when she heard that.

"You don't even know how cruel this world is. All you lost is your parents, and you think the world is cruel? Don't worry. You will understand soon enough how real cruelty is defined. Ask your second question; we don't have much time."

They decided among themselves again, but there wasn't anything they really wanted to ask, so Takuya asked a question that had always bugged him whenever he read novels like this.

"Since you said you ruled this world, then why even allow demons to exist in your world in the first place? After all, in the beginning, they wouldn't be this many, right?"

"Good question. First of all, I can't stop demons from coming to this world. You see, there are different worlds. Some are controlled by the gods, and some are controlled by the devils.

When there are no demons in any world, then the universe itself opens a passage which connects that world to another world, which is ruled by demons.

The universe seeks balance, and this is its way to balance out positivity and negativity. Don't think too much about it; you won't understand it for the time being.

Of course, we can create a barrier and kill all the demons who come from that passage using my power of faith, but here's the thing—nobody does that.

There's a simple reason for it. Demons are necessary for leveling up. When you kill demons, humans, or monsters, you level up. But since, as a human, you will naturally hesitate to kill humans, the only choices left are monsters and demons. And once the population of monsters declines, demons become a necessary choice.

And as I told you, the main faith power comes from strong people. You must have gotten my point, right?"

Takuya understood what she was talking about, and finally, one of his doubts was cleared.

"Third question?"

Takuya wanted to ask one more thing to satiate his curiosity, but he let the others ask, as he had already gotten an exclusive question.

But the others didn't have anything to ask, so he asked again.

"Were you also human before?"

Elysia smiled when she heard that. It was an interesting question.

"Yes."

The others were smart too, and when they heard that answer, even they were surprised.

Takuya nodded.

"Fine then. It's time you guys go to your new home. Those guys have already been waiting for a long time for you to arrive, your previous god was really a lazy guy"

She waved her hand, and they disappeared.

But she didn't stop looking at them, as she wanted to know what classes the two of them would get.

Takuya and the others again felt an immense suction force, and they got swept away like dust in a storm.

This time, though, they didn't faint when they arrived at their destination, which was an altar with the statue of the goddess they had been with just a moment ago.

They had arrived in a new world—the world in which they would be living from now on.

Takuya had just stabilized himself when he saw that his whole body was shining. He felt that everything was getting clearer. His feeling was similar to how a person who was dying of thirst finally drank the purest water in the world. It was like his whole body was rejuvenating from the inside.

...

The goddess was still looking at them, and she was finally able to see which classes they had gotten individually. She was happy, as both of them got SSS-grade classes. Takuya got Saintblade, a knight-type class, while Yukina got Celestial Arcanist, a mage-type class.

She was now eager to see which class they would get eventually, as no matter which class they both got, it would still be an SSS-grade class.

There was another way, though, but she doubted if it was possible to happen because she had never seen this type of scenario before—only heard about it.

As she was thinking that, the class selection reached its peak, and her eyes widened at the result.

...

Takuya didn't know what was happening, but if he had to guess, then it was definitely because they had come into contact with mana for the first time.

The mana was being infused into them. No wonder he felt even stronger than before.

There was one more thing he felt, which he couldn't describe clearly, so he didn't try to figure it out, as he would eventually be able to do so later.

He looked around and found out they were in a closed space instead of outside, and there was a woman standing just outside the altar they were on.

When she saw that he was already out of his stupor, she bowed a little while speaking. Surprisingly, it was in English.

"Welcome, people from the other world. We have been waiting for this day to arrive for a long time."

When the others heard her voice, they also looked toward her. She looked about 26 or 27 years old and was covered in priestly robes, but she wasn't covering her head like nuns in their world.

Her hair was light golden in color, and her mature, beautiful body was irresistible. Well, there was no point in even mentioning it. It looked like they would be encountering a lot of beautiful people from now on. It might be due to mana.

Even Takuya felt his skin had a softer tone now. He wanted to look at Yukina to see how beautiful she had become but held back for the time being, as it would be too obvious if he looked right now.

"From now on, I will guide you through everything you need to know to survive in this world. Your arrival is kept secret from the general public, and not even the royal family is aware of it. It is done to maintain your safety.

For the time being, though, your awakening is ongoing, so please wait until it's finished. Then we will leave this place."

All of them nodded. They were new to this world, and only by knowing about it could they decide their next step. They were already here; there was no going back now.

They were finally able to come to terms with their circumstances.

Takuya was finally able to adjust his position so he could see Yukina, so he did so. And as expected, she looked even more insanely beautiful now. In fact, it felt like her skin was giving off its own shine, although it was only an illusion.

Others had improved somewhat, but it wasn't as noticeable as it was on her. Others also sighed when they looked at her and couldn't stop themselves from stealing glances at her.

Aoi also looked more beautiful than before. In fact, she was rubbing her own skin in disbelief.

"I don't know what to feel right now, but thinking about the fact that we can use magic and all is making me excited, even though I am sad about leaving Earth just like that," Aoi said while sighing.

"You are not the only one feeling that."

Daiki was also excited, just like how a normal 16-year-old boy would feel.

"I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely regretting not enjoying my life on Earth. After all, what's the point of wasting all that time studying if I'm here?"

Tenka also sighed.
