As the armed men surrounded Masika and Sophia, Masika's heart sank. She knew that she had to think fast if she was going to get out of this alive.
Just as the men were about to move in, Masika heard the sound of gunfire echoing through the streets. She knew that Jake and Hoon were still fighting off Sophia's men.
In the chaos, Sophia took advantage of the distraction to try and flee. But as she ran, she dropped a small, intricately carved box - the artifact that Hoon had been searching for.
Hoon, who had been fighting off Sophia's men alongside Jake, saw the box fall to the ground. He quickly grabbed it, his eyes scanning the area to make sure they were secure.
Meanwhile, Masika was using the distraction to her advantage. She took down the armed men one by one with her guards, using her combat training to overpower them.
As the last man fell to the ground, Masika turned to face Sophia, who was now standing alone, her eyes blazing with anger and defeat.
"You'll never win," Sophia spat, but Masika just smiled.
"I already have," she said, as Jake and Hoon appeared at her side, the artifact secure in Hoon's hand.
As Hoon held the artifact in his hands, a mix of emotions swirled inside him. He remembered his adoptive parents, who had told him about this family heirloom before they passed away.
"This was meant for me," Hoon said, his voice filled with a sense of belonging. "My adoptive parents told me about this artifact, and how it's been passed down through our family for generations."
Masika's eyes softened with understanding. "I'm glad you have it back, Hoon," she said.
Jake nodded in agreement. "We'll make sure to keep it safe," he said.
Hoon's eyes locked onto the artifact, and for a moment, he felt a sense of connection to his adoptive family. He knew that this artifact was more than just a simple trinket - it was a piece of his family's history.
But as he looked at Masika and Jake, Hoon knew that he couldn't let his emotions get the better of him. They still had a job to do, and that was to take down the trafficking ring.
With the artifact secure, Joon, Masika, and Jake refocused on their mission to take down the trafficking ring. They knew that Sophia's capture was just the beginning, and that they still had to dismantle the entire operation.
As they made their way back to their headquarters, Hoon couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. He glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Masika noticed his unease. "What's wrong, Hoon?" she asked.
Hoon hesitated. "I don't know," he said. "I just feel like we're missing something."
Jake's eyes narrowed. "Like what?" he asked.
Hoon shook his head. "I'm not sure," he said. "But I think we need to dig deeper."
Jake nodded. "I agree," she said. "Let's get back to HQ and start analyzing the data we collected from Sophia's phone."
Then Hoon ordered Masika's guards to drive her home because grandmother has been asking her where abouts, as him and Jake head to the headquarters of the Back Rose.
As they arrived at their headquarters, Hoon's team was already waiting for them, eager to start analyzing the data.
But just as they were about to get started, Hoon's phone beeped. He glanced at the screen, and his eyes widened in surprise.
"What is it?" Jake asked, noticing his expression.
Hoon's face was grim. "It's a message from an unknown number," he said. "It says, 'You'll never take us down'."
