Physical Education Class
Classmates who were in Killa's class this morning were outside for gym class in the huge, fresh green yard. White lines lined the yard, and there were some square stands and pits in the corners. Everything didn't make sense for Killa, but after she observed the equipment and some physical tools, what they wore, and what they used, she could figure out what sport she needed to learn as a high school girl.
"Your PE uniform looks good on you," Maki said after she surveyed Killa's figure. "I think you'll look good on anything," she added,
'She's complimenting me nonstop...Is that normal?' Killa thought. Killa hadn't been used to the continuous compliment from others yet, "Thank you,"
She often received compliments from her father about her work, her personal teacher about how well she studied, and her siblings when she did something that satisfied them. About her physical appearance, only Riagán, he complimented her too often, and it seemed not genuine enough as Maki, her soon-to-be to be her new friend—Killa hoped it that way.
A group of girls and boys gossiped and stared at Killa nonstop since she had outgrown her foot at this school.
"Have you ever played Baseball before?" Maki asked to distract her from those girls,
"No,"
"Um, come here, come here." Maki beckoned to Killa to come closer. "Here, look at that girl in the middle of the field. She will be the one who throws the ball, and then you see that one—" Maki said,
"Yes,"
"That one will use that baseball bat to hit the ball with all energy to make that ball fly far away...as far as possible..." Maki demonstrated the sport to Killa while they were playing, "and she or he will run...and finish at the same spot before the other team catches the ball and throws it back."
"So that means that guy won," Killa said and looked at the guy who hit the ball and ran for his life.
"That's right!" Maki said,
'That's not hard,' Killa thought.
"Next, Killa Lysander." The gym teacher or coach called her name out loud,
"Hey, it's a new girl."
"Let's see,"
"Wow, gym cloth is made for her, dude,"
"Shut up, watch, watch."
Killa walked out after the coach called her name. While she walked past other students, she heard them gossiping, but she couldn't care less. She stood at the pit and grabbed the baseball bat. Killa remembered the posture of the guy before her and the girls before him. Killa started to pose her body and raised the baseball bat up. Then, a girl who was across from her in the middle of the field smirked at her a little bit, and then threw the ball with full energy.
"That bitch threw with all her energy!" Maki mumbled with a furious face, "She's new, bitch." But Killa swung and hit the ball hard, and it flew far away. "Jesus!! Killa!! run!" Maki shouted at her, so Killa ran around the field, following the white line, and stopped at the same pit. "Yay!" Maki ran to her and hugged her tight,
'Oh..' Killa was surprised that she hugged her.
"She just hit the ball. What's it about?" one girl said,
"Because you can't hit any BALL." and then one guy teased her,
"Shut up!" she shouted back,
"Miss Lysander?" the coach called Killa and approached her,
"Yes," she said,
"You play baseball before?" the coach asked,
"No, coach. It's Killa's first time." Maki said excitedly,
He was surprised. "Is it? Are you interested in baseball anyway? I think you can do well after that hit...You can learn or train more. You'll be improved a lot." the coach said,
"Coach, she just hit only one time. How about throwing a pit? She should be good at every role to be on the team, right?" The girl, with a smirk face, told the coach,
'That bitch...she's just jealous,' Maki thought.
"Okay, I can try," Killa said calmly,
"Good, I want to see too." The coach said,
"Us too!" The guys in the same class spoke at the same time.
Maki looked concerned. "Killa...they just want to play you. You don't have to if you don't want to."
"It's okay...I just throw the ball at a guy who has a bat, right?" Killa wanted to confirm the game's regulation.
Maki was pretty worried, "Yes..." she said lightly,
"Okay," Killa said and enter the field before she grabbed a ball, she turned around and stared at Maki. "If I win, will you be my first friend?" She asked directly,
Maki was stunted, and her face turned red. 'I..' Mika struggled. "Yes!" she shouted at her with a big smile on her face. Killa smiled back at her from her heart.
Everybody around saw her and surely fell for that look of Killa.
"But don't throw it at his face!!" Maki shouted to her again,
"How can I win?" Killa asked the coach bluntly,
"Er…Just throw at him, and don't let him hit the ball..." The coach tried to explain to her in an easy way.
Killa walked to the middle, and she noticed a guy move his fingers, 'What is he doing?' Killa thought and tried to ignore him. "Maybe that means It's time to throw?" Killa talked to herself, and then she did the pose, copying the way the girl before because she thought it was one of the rules and then she threw the ball at the guy with the bat,
Phew!!
The ball went past his face so quickly.
"Wow!!" Some guys screamed out,
"T-Two more, Miss Lysander! And this time, try to let him catch the ball."
The coach explained to her and raised his hand at a guy wearing a helmet, squatting almost on the ground—the one who had done the fingers to her.
Killa nodded,
'Throw to the helmet guy...and don't let the bat guy hit the ball,' Killa repeated in her mind. "Just like throwing a knife," Killa told herself.
Pfttt!
It was fast, it was rushed, and it was perfect. The ball was perfectly right at his glove, and the other guy didn't even see the ball Killa threw at him.
!!!!!
Everybody was shocked, and the coach hurried to Killa and grabbed her delicate shoulders, which were actually more substantial than they looked.
"Please!!!! be on my team!! Miss Lysander!!" The coach shouted.
A bunch of students were walking around and sitting around watching other classes; it was normal to sit and relax at the school park or rest at the field seats, watching another classmate in gym lessons.
"Wow." the gray, almost white hair said lightly to himself while he saw from the start that he was looking at her from behind the bench.
After school, Killa walked back to her house on foot. She seemed a little weird and a little confused; she couldn't tell herself. She made a new friend, and she met a handsome guy who flustered her heart. Was she happy? Was she upset? Or what was it on her first day of school? Definitely, it wasn't dull.
While she was wandering back home, she realized someone was following her. She didn't know who that guy was, but she knew who he was from—he was from Lysanders; it was Father. But she acted like nothing had happened, trying not to act impulsively; in other words, she ignored him.
At night, Father gave Killa the order to assist Yeongho's work outside the West Side of Lysander's property. First, Yeongho ran a business that only took the killing cases or got rid of the organizations, but he was 20 years old. Germogen already set the plan for him to take care of Lysander's business after he retired. At this time, he almost did everything for Germogen and also for the essential tasks. Two unrelated bloods helped each other, getting rid of the mafia gang that had invaded the place without Lysander's permission.
"Ahh!" A guy screamed after Killa threw a knife at him on the neck.
Yeongho was punching and kicking them like they were just sandbags. Killa also used a knife and attacked people like she couldn't care, and yes, she didn't care or think about the situation at the moment. Her mind was elsewhere, but she still slashed their bodies like pieces of cake.
"How was your day at school?" Yeongho asked her all of a sudden,
"...hard to say," she said,
"What was in your mind? Why did you choose to go to school?" He asked bluntly,
'Hm? Yeongho's asking me? Killa thought he was never curious about her or any personal stuff or even regular stuff. And a guy at Yeongho's back was going to shoot at him. Killa threw a knife past Yeongho's cheek and stabbed at his forehead. "I just hate doing this stuff," she said,
His eyes widened; he was stunned by what he just heard. 'You hate it?' Yeongho thought. He ran to her and then raised a fist. Killa looked at him, and she saw his red eyes clearly when he was closer. 'You hate doing this stuff...with me!!?' Yeongho thought with a shocked face, and it looked scary. Killa dodged her head a little to the left, and his fist met the other guy's face behind her on the right side while staring at him.
'What's up with him?' Killa asked him in her mind,
"Finished. We should go," Yeongho said with gritted teeth, clenching his fists while walking past her. It was better to say nothing. Keeping his thoughts in his mind might be the best for him, hiding his feelings. It was what he did best—if it was about Killa.
