"You killed her," the man accused Jax. "You killed her."
Jax understood that much. If not for him, the woman would have survived. Although his intention had not been to kill someone, he had done it. The woman had died entirely because of his actions.
He could not deny what he was accused of.
A soft silver light covered the man at that moment. The man looked down at himself in somewhat surprise but quickly stopped fearing when he realized what was happening.
Since he had come with a companion, the moment his companion failed to move on to the next Carriage—due to her dying—he failed too. He would now get taken out of the maze.
As the man was fully covered in the silver light, he vanished from the location, teleported away. All that remained where he had been was the lifeless remains of the dead sorceress.
The old man stepped toward Jax.
