It's amazing. Don't let the edge dissuade from the absolute gem of a story. Yes, it's super edgy, dark, and MC grows in power quite quickly (in a sense - he only gets a truly powerful puppet template in the final chapters of Vol 1). But it's also an absolutely brilliant revenge story, where you don't have to suspend your disbelief regarding canon characters, because they're all really close to canon, acting and reacting in line with the characters from the actual game. The protagonist, undoubtedly a villain, is also entertaining and identifiable with, so that even though he's acting to hurt the characters we've come to love in the game (well, most of them), we still want him to succeed. He's also not the type of one-dimensional villain who wants revenge for the sake of revenge, destruction for the sake of destruction. His ultimate goal is an understandable one, one that, I at least, could sympathize with as a reader. His schemes and ways of tormenting the targets of his revenge are varied and interesting, and he actually goes about this in quite an intelligent way, always having something to gain from them, or being always win-win because no matter what the result is, his enemies will suffer. The only thing that slightly brings it down from an otherwise perfect fanfic is the occassional mistranslation or a mistake, but this is so minor a thing it will not impact your reading experience like 99% of the time. And again, MC gets really edgy sometimes which can make you cringe, but he's entertaining enough to likewise not detract from the reading experience. Overall, it's an amazing fanfiction and I really enjoyed reading it, and I hope Translator-kun continues translating it.

Finally, it's a serious work without a lump of cotton candy and other heresy. Author san, please don't stop your creativity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what if the alternative is he takes the path of becoming a savior? and not a villain, this might be interesting..?, and I hope you continue to enjoy writing this story until the end, and don't rush, just think of this work as one of your best achievements, congratulations author. I really appreciate every story, good or bad, it's still a masterpiece 😗

I didn't known how to feel about it. So, I did the whole 'read a few chapters' and see routine. By the time I noticed it was finished on volume 1. Really well done I should think. Very impressive update speed, personal reactions that make sense from either side. Seeing as what you added at the end of that chapter I suppose a mixing of universes is coming? Also... why do I have a sinking suspicion of slowburn Elysia with him? After she 'redeems' him or something like that. Anyways! Thanks for the great story so far, and hopefully more to come.
