Bibi Dong began her next plan, a plan known only to herself. No one else was privy to its details.
In her secret chamber, there hung a large map adorned with various symbols representing the Hao Tian Sect, the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect, the four lesser sects, and the two great empires.
The symbol for the Tian Dou Empire was overlaid by a small cabbage emblem, while the symbols for the Tian Dou Empire and the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect were encircled in red. The symbols for the four lesser sects had also been marked with red circles.
Bi Bi Dong picked up a red marker and drew a cross over the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect's symbol, writing "1" beside it. Then, she crossed out the Hao Tian Sect's symbol and wrote "3."
As for "2," it was represented by the character "Hao," which had already been crossed out multiple times by Bibi Dong.
"The world will eventually be unified, and I, Bibi Dong, shall become the sole empress under the heavens! Hahahaha—"
Her shrill laughter echoed through the secret chamber, chilling to the bone.
No one understood the full scope of Bibi Dong's ambitions, not even Li Luochen, despite his knowledge as a time traveler. In his mind, Bibi Dong was nothing more than a lovesick fool—a woman who would sacrifice everything for love, even for a worthless, irresponsible man.
Li Luochen believed that while Bibi Dong might have changed somewhat, her love-struck nature remained intact. Her heart still belonged to her "white moonlight," making her a ticking time bomb, if not a destroyer of worlds.
For now, while Bibi Dong was still somewhat rational, Li Luochen took the opportunity to exploit resources from the Spirit Hall, fearing what might happen if she lost control.
However, Li Luochen could never have imagined that Bibi Dong would transform from a lovesick fool into a ruthless schemer. Yes, it was all thanks to an anonymous letter Li Luochen had written in a moment of frustration.
At the time, Li Luochen felt fondness for Qian Renxue and was irritated by Bibi Dong's ingratitude, despite all the benefits he had received from the Spirit Hall. Considering himself a member of the Spirit Hall, he penned an anonymous scathing letter and had one of Qian Renxue's subordinates deliver it to Bibi Dong.
Upon receiving the letter, Bibi Dong exploded with rage. For several days, the Pope's Palace radiated an aura of killing intent and malevolence so intense that no one dared approach.
After venting her anger, Bibi Dong retreated to her secret chamber and wept alone. Reflecting on her past, she realized her mistakes. She understood that Qian Xunji had taken advantage of her to keep her tied to the Spirit Hall, though the methods he used were utterly repulsive.
Li Luochen had deliberately emphasized this point in the letter: if Bibi Dong had belonged to the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect or any other sect, she would have been stripped of her martial soul and spirit power, reduced to nothing more than a breeder for the sect's elite heirs.
Upon further reflection, Bibi Dong realized that such treatment was entirely plausible. Regardless of age, she would have been treated as nothing more than a broodmare, forced to bear children endlessly. This thought sent shivers down her spine.
Qian Xunji, at least, was exceptionally handsome. Aside from his advanced age, his appearance was impeccable, especially for a man with the Six-Winged Angel martial soul. During her youth, Bibi Dong often flattered him with compliments to win his favor.
She also remembered how, after returning from the City of Slaughter, she had struggled to control her murderous intent. It was Qian Xunji who had used his divine attributes to help her gradually master the Killing God Domain. However, afterward, he had once again subjected her to despicable acts.
She had been powerless to resist until the incident with Tang Hao. To find her eighth soul ring, Qian Xunji had targeted the hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor, intending to use it as the eighth soul ring for her primary martial soul.
Though she still despised Qian Xunji, thinking of him filled her with a desire to tear him apart limb by limb.
Yet, she couldn't deny that, aside from that incident, Qian Xunji had always treated her well, indulging her every whim. He had even severed ties with his childhood fiancée, arranged by Qian Daoliu, just to make her happy.
And what of her so-called "white moonlight"? A man devoid of substance, claiming to be a theoretical master? Bibi Dong couldn't help but laugh at the irony. Those theories had been fed to Yu Xiaogang by her, and even now, some of them struck her as absurd.
With this newfound clarity, Bibi Dong's mindset underwent a profound transformation. Free from the interference of the Rakshasa God's divine consciousness—Rakshasa had been eager for her to inherit her godhood—Bibi Dong's resolve became unshakable.
Her current state could be described as "a heart of clarity and enlightenment," her mental fortitude stronger than ever. Past grievances no longer held sway over her.
Having come to terms with her past, Bibi Dong devised a grand plan: the "Unification of the Great Douluo Continent." She, Bibi Dong, would empower the common people, overthrow the exploitative nobility, and lead the masses toward a utopia where they could live comfortably and securely.
To this end, she issued orders to root out corruption within the Spirit Hall, executing those who exploited the common people while clinging to the Spirit Hall's influence. Among those executed were three Soul Douluos, personally dealt with by Bibi Dong.
This iron-fisted policy elevated Bibi Dong's reputation to unprecedented heights, not only within the Spirit Hall but also among the commoner spirit masters.
Simultaneously, Bibi Dong upgraded the spirit master subsidy system. She revoked subsidies for incompetent spirit masters from influential families and set an age limit, disqualifying spirit masters over thirty from receiving subsidies.
Subsidies for young Soul Masters and Soul Grandmasters were increased, and accommodations were provided for these young commoner soul masters within the Spirit Hall's branch temples.
This policy deepened the commoners' reliance on the Spirit Hall, drawing many into its fold. Previously, each branch temple had only a dozen or so administrators; now, each boasted at least fifty.
These administrators were tasked not only with awakening martial souls but also with protecting villages of ordinary people. These policies improved the quality of life for the lower classes, earning the Spirit Hall immense popularity.
The royal families of the two great empires failed to understand the Spirit Hall's motives. In their eyes, true strength lay with the noble families and legions loyal to the empire. Commoners were irrelevant—they were merely tools for food production.
After all, in this era, there was no understanding of the principle that "water can carry a boat, but it can also overturn it." Power was measured solely by strength. Unfortunately for them, in this world—the world of Douluo Continent—even Title Douluos could be overwhelmed by vast armies.
When the hearts of the two empires' citizens were lost, and the Spirit Hall remained the beacon of hope for the common people, to whom would the scales of victory tip?
Moreover, Li Luochen was now aligned with the Asura God, eliminating any divine interference. Tang San's foundation and backing were gone—he could no longer stir up trouble.
