"You've all done well—I'm very satisfied!"
Li Luochen smiled as he spoke. They had all made tremendous progress, and now it was time to focus on cultivating further.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing would likely break through to level 40 within the next two months. By the time of the Soul Master Tournament, they should be at level 45 or 46 as Soul Ancestors.
As for Oscar, he could break through to Soul King in just over half a year. At that point, Li Luochen planned to take him to the Frozen Forest to hunt a Mirror Shadow Beast.
Originally, Oscar's fifth soul ring was meant to come from a Silver Eagle Beast, but Li Luochen hadn't found one in the Star Dou Forest. However, there was a twenty-thousand-year-old Mirror Shadow Beast available, which Oscar could absorb.
The Mirror Shadow Beast would provide significant boosts to Oscar, and it would also grant Ning Rongrong and Ye Lingling the abilities of battle-type soul masters.
During this time, Ning Rongrong and Ye Lingling weren't just training their soul power and physical strength—they were also honing their combat skills. Fellow team members would spar with them to help improve their abilities.
Qin Ming didn't fully understand why Li Luochen was training them this way, but he trusted that Li Luochen had his reasons.
Li Luochen wanted Oscar to gain the ability to create Mirror Sausages, which would allow for unexpected tactical advantages. In the Soul Master Tournament, opponents often targeted backrow support roles specifically.
Imagine an agility-type Soul Ancestor preparing to cut down the backline, only for the backline to suddenly transform into a powerhouse attacker. 'Heh, this will certainly be interesting.'
Next, Li Luochen personally took charge of their training, pushing them to their limits with daily high-intensity exercises.
Of course, such training came with drawbacks—internal injuries were inevitable. However, with Yang Wudi around, these issues were mitigated. Yang Wudi prepared medicinal baths tailored to each individual's constitution, and the effects were remarkable. After a grueling day of training, they'd fall asleep in the medicinal baths, only to wake up refreshed and full of energy the next morning.
For example, the internal injuries Dai Mubai sustained during training under Li Luochen had largely healed thanks to these baths. In about six months, he would fully recover.
However, Li Luochen no longer cared about Dai Mubai. Dai Mubai had become nothing more than a pathetic flatterer, working hard every day to leave a good impression. His unspoken plea was essentially: 'Spare my life, and I'll serve you like a slave!'
Li Luochen had no interest in Dai Mubai's existence. He intended to leave him for Zhu Zhuqing to deal with later.
After about a month of training, Li Luochen suddenly received some news: Yu Xiaogang, Tang San, and Xiao Wu had arrived at Shrek City.
However, they were outside the city gates, requesting Flender's assistance out of past friendship.
Li Luochen went out to investigate and learned the following: Yu Xiaogang had originally planned to take Tang San and Xiao Wu to join his nephew, Yu Tianheng, and enroll them in the Tian Dou Imperial Academy.
On the way, they encountered Tai Long, who was visiting his family. Tai Long had just reached level 40 and was preparing to seek out his grandfather to obtain his fourth soul ring. (Tai Long had no access to resources like Whale Jelly—he relied solely on intense training and medicinal baths to reach this level.)
Tai Long had taken a liking to Xiao Wu, but Tang San beat him up badly. Later, Tai Long's father, Tai Nu, sought revenge but was defeated by Tang San's hidden weapons.
This chain of events led to the wrath of Titan, forcing Yu Xiaogang to flee with Tang San and Xiao Wu to Shrek City to seek Flender's help. After all, Flender was a Soul Douluo, and Titan might show him some respect.

At the Gates of Shrek City
A middle-aged man with an ordinary, stiff expression stood outside the gates, accompanied by a boy and a girl—the latter being exceptionally beautiful.
At the gates of Shrek City stood two burly blonde men, followed by a small group of guards.
These two men were the Tiger Brothers, Dai Tianxing and Dai Tianyuan, with soul powers of level 88 and 86 respectively. Both were extremely powerful Soul Douluos.
Their current lives were comfortable. Their only responsibility was to ensure no one damaged the gates of Shrek City. Other security matters were handled by the guard team, and they only intervened in major incidents.
Yu Xiaogang, as a Great Soul Master, didn't require their intervention. However, after idling around all day, they decided it was time to get to work.
Both brothers were on track to break through to Title Douluo within five years. Dai Tianxing had been lucky enough to emerge from the City of Slaughter with three soul bones, while Dai Tianyuan had gained access to the Star Luo Empire's treasury by "tormenting" the Star Luo Empress and obtained soul bones as well.
Dai Tianxing possessed five soul bones, only missing his torso bone, while Dai Tianyuan already had a full set of ten-thousand-year soul bones. Even their mother, Dai Tianling, was a Soul Douluo with four soul bones.
All of this was thanks to Dai Tianyuan's efforts. Now, their lives were peaceful. Dai Tianling, though over seventy years old, looked like a beautiful woman in her late thirties due to excellent care.
Dai Tianling's cultivation talent wasn't bad either. After absorbing the soul bones given to her by Dai Tianyuan, her soul power skyrocketed, and her cultivation speed increased significantly. She had gone from being a Soul Emperor to a Soul Douluo, and she might even have a chance at becoming a Title Douluo in her lifetime.

Back at the Gates of Shrek City
Yu Xiaogang paced back and forth, frustrated that they weren't allowed entry into Shrek City. Whether they were permitted to enter ultimately depended on the guards' mood.
This Great Soul Master, acting arrogant and entitled, irritated the guards, who deliberately made things difficult for him.
"Excuse me, when will Principal Flender come out? I'm truly an old acquaintance of his—it's an urgent matter!"
Yu Xiaogang was growing increasingly impatient, inwardly fuming at the gatekeepers for refusing him entry.
"Without an invitation letter, you cannot enter Shrek City. Who knows what your intentions are? The enforcement team has already notified Principal Flender. Whether he comes or not is up to him."
Dai Tianyuan spoke casually, completely disregarding Yu Xiaogang.
"How dare you treat me like this! I'm a friend of your principal!"
Yu Xiaogang pointed directly at Dai Tianyuan's nose. "I'll definitely tell Flender about this… gulp."
What caused Yu Xiaogang to suddenly stop mid-sentence and swallow nervously?
It turned out that Dai Tianyuan and Dai Tianxing had released their soul rings: two yellow, two purple, and four black—an optimal configuration for Soul Douluos.
Yu Xiaogang was utterly stunned. Who would have thought that two Soul Douluos were working as gatekeepers?
"I'll give you another chance to choose your words carefully."
"Why waste time talking to this trash? A mere Great Soul Master daring to disrespect stronger individuals? Break his leg!"
*Crack—*
Dai Tianxing delivered a swift kick, snapping Yu Xiaogang's left leg. Then, with a single slap, he sent Yu Xiaogang crashing into the ground.
"Wow, his face is really thick-skinned. After that slap, it's only slightly swollen? Indeed, the rumors about him are true."
Dai Tianxing remarked. He was well aware of Yu Xiaogang's reputation as a laughingstock in the world of soul masters.
Tang San, meanwhile, dared not make a move. At his current level, he was no match for these opponents. However, these two brothers were now firmly on his kill list—they had sealed their fate.
"What's going on here? Tianxing, Tianyuan, who are you fighting?"
Li Luochen and Flender suddenly arrived at the gates, just in time to see Dai Tianxing and Dai Tianyuan release their soul rings.
"We dealt with some trash. He's over there, buried in the dirt."
Dai Tianxing pointed to Yu Xiaogang, who lay unconscious in the ground.
"Isn't that Yu Xiaogang? It's been a few months—why does he seem so fond of hugging the earth now?"
Li Luochen chuckled, then noticed Tang San and Xiao Wu. He didn't know why they were here, but it didn't matter. This hundred-thousand-year Bone Rabbit had walked right into his grasp—her soul ring and soul bone wouldn't escape him.
"Enforcement team, take this piece of trash—ah, no, take this second young master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan inside. Tang San, Xiao Wu, you go in as well."
Li Luochen gave the order, and the enforcement team sprang into action.
"Yes!" The enforcement team grabbed Yu Xiaogang by the leg and dragged him inside.
"No need—I'll take my teacher in myself." Tang San quickly intervened, picking up Yu Xiaogang and carrying him inside.
Dai Tianxing and Dai Tianyuan exchanged exasperated looks before turning to Flender.
"Flender, is this really your friend?" Dai Tianxing asked.
"He used to be, but I've seen through his true colors now," Flender replied, waving his hand dismissively.
"I remember you, him, and Vice Principal Liu Erlong were once known as the Golden Iron Triangle. Did something happen?" Dai Tianyuan inquired.
"Sigh, let's not talk about the past. Just know that he's a fraud—no real talent, only vanity. He's especially skilled at deceiving women's feelings."
Flender was thoroughly dissatisfied with Yu Xiaogang. He and Liu Erlong were happily enjoying their family life, yet Yu Xiaogang still dared to come seeking him. Had he no shame? If Flender showed him any courtesy, would Yu Xiaogang mistake it for weakness?
Once Yu Xiaogang woke up, Flender planned to make it clear to him: don't come looking for him again. Their friendship was over.
Moreover, Yu Xiaogang's mind was venomous. Flender feared he might target his and Liu Erlong's daughter. It was best to drive him away for good. Such a person didn't deserve to appear again.
