LUNA'S POV- NEW BEGINNINGS

As I stepped off the cab, I was immediately struck by the sea of unfamiliar faces staring back at me. It was as if I had entered a different world, one that was both exhilarating and intimidating. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart, and reminded myself that I had got this. After all, I had spent years preparing for this moment.

But as I gazed out at the sprawling campus, I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me. The next thing I knew, I was stumbling, and the cab driver was catching me by the arm. "Whoa, easy there!" he exclaimed, as a crowd began to gather around us. I tried to brush it off, but the driver insisted on taking me to the school clinic to get checked out.

As it turned out, I was fine - just a bit overwhelmed. But the clinic visit had left me feeling a bit shaken. That was when I bumped into him - the most gorgeous guy I had ever laid eyes on. His piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through me, and his chiseled features left me breathless. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you... I..." He held my gaze, his eyes locked on mine, and replied, "It's not a problem, and by the way, you look astonishing." Those words sent shivers down my spine, and I was instantly smitten.

But as it turned out, it was all just a fantasy. He coughed, looked at me in confusion, and walked away, leaving me feeling embarrassed and ashamed. "Wait, all these were imaginations?" I asked myself, feeling a wave of mortification wash over me.

I made my way to my first class, still reeling from the encounter. As I entered the classroom, I spotted an empty seat and made a beeline for it. That was when I met Betty, a tall and elegant girl with brown eyes and a warm smile. She introduced herself and offered to show me around the school during our breaks. "Hello," she said, stretching out her hand for a handshake. I returned the gesture, shaking her hand.

"My name is Betty, nice to meet you..." She trailed off, waiting for me to introduce myself.

"Nice to meet you too, Betty," I replied, smiling. "I'm Luna."

"You don't have a name badge yet, Luna," Betty observed, nodding towards my chest. "Everyone here has a name badge, so they can easily be recognized."

"Oh, erm... I'll get one later," I replied, feeling a bit self-conscious. "I just got here, so I really have issues with locating certain places in the school."

"Well, that's not an issue," Betty said, smiling. "I'll show you around the school during first and second break, if you don't mind?"

"Yes, I don't," I replied gratefully. "Thank you so much, Betty."

"Don't mention it, Luna," she said, smiling. "Make yourself comfortable."

I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe this school wouldn't be so bad after all.

As I settled into my seat, I took in my surroundings. The classroom was big and spacious, with lockers built into the desks. It was a far cry from my old school, where the lockers were relegated to the hallway. I felt a sense of excitement building inside me as I realized that this was just the beginning of my new adventure.

Betty leaned over and whispered, "So, Luna, what do you think of the school so far?"

I turned to her and smiled. "It's really nice," I replied. "I love the classrooms and the lockers. It's so different from my old school."

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Betty said, nodding. "I came from a different school too, and it took me a while to get used to this place. But now I love it here."

I smiled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Betty. "I'm glad to hear that," I said. "I'm hoping I'll feel the same way soon."

Just then, the teacher walked in and began to take roll call. I listened intently, trying to learn the names of my new classmates. As the teacher droned on, I found my mind wandering back to the guy I had bumped into earlier. Who was he, and why did he have such an impact on me?
