Towards the Unknown

With the dawn breaking, Kaido decided to head to the village to check on the injured woman. After a grueling battle, he still felt the weight of the wounds he had sustained, but what worried him more was what had happened to the woman after the incident. He stood in front of the doctor's house, took a deep breath, and entered.

He nervously asked the doctor, "How is she?"

The doctor responded in a low voice, "She's in shock. She barely speaks, living in a state of great terror. She won't talk... What exactly happened there?"

Suddenly, the woman sensed Kaido's presence at the door and began shouting loudly, "Demon! Deeemoon!" Her words were full of fear, while panic filled the air.

The villagers gathered near the door, their eyes darting between Kaido, who stood stunned, and the woman, who was trembling and pointing at his hands. Before long, the villagers had surrounded him. One of them stepped forward, lifting the cloth off his hand, revealing Kaido's hand, which seemed to be part of something else. Its appearance was strange, and everyone in the village noticed it, their gazes turning to horror and suspicion. Whispers spread among them, and as confusion set in, all eyes fixed on his hand, as if seeing it for the first time.

Kaido slowly withdrew from the crowd, trying to avoid their gaze, and hurried back to his house. Inside, he began gathering his belongings. He no longer felt safe, and that moment marked a turning point in his life. He took the book with him, pausing for a moment to remember everything that had happened in this place—the memories of his mother and father. He knew he would never return here again.

As night fell, Kaido placed pillows in his bed to make it appear as though he were lying in it. But outside, the situation was different. The villagers, whom he no longer trusted, had gathered in front of his house, whispering about the "demon" who lived among them.

Kaido felt a chill sweep over him when he heard their footsteps getting closer. At that moment, he started running as fast as he could, trying to escape this hell that had been imposed on him. From a distance, he saw the villagers approaching his house, carrying torches in their hands. When they reached his house, they threw flames everywhere, thinking he was still inside.

The flames consumed everything as Kaido ran swiftly away, heading into the depth of the forest where no one could find him. There, among the dense trees and darkness, he began to feel something strange. Was he really human, or had he transformed into something else? Was he just a victim of the dark fate that awaited him, or would he become like the terrifying creatures he had seen in the book—similar to the Mangagal and others?

Kaido stood in the middle of the forest, unsure where to go next, or how to escape from the fate that seemed to be chasing him wherever he went. The forest buzzed with the sounds of the wind and falling trees, as if echoing his inner confusion and sense of being lost.
