Kaido carefully covered his hands, trying to hide the demonic hand that had become visible. He began moving, continuing his journey with no end in sight, walking long distances through dense forests. After a tiring day of walking, hunger gnawed at his stomach, and his feet felt heavy from exhaustion.
While walking down the abandoned path, he spotted a field ahead, full of crops. He approached slowly, his eyes darting between the ripe fruits that filled the field. Unable to resist the smell of food, he drew closer and began to pick one of the fruits.
Just before he could pick it to eat, he felt something approaching him. He heard footsteps behind him. He quickly panicked and tossed the fruit from his hand as if he had stolen it.
When he looked, he realized it was the farmer who tended the field. The farmer smiled kindly and said, "No need to worry, you can take what you want. You seem very hungry. Come, we'll eat together."
Kaido's emotions shifted between surprise and relief, and hunger overpowered everything else, so he agreed immediately. The farmer smiled and started walking toward the village. As they walked, the farmer said, "It's strange that you came here; there aren't many villages nearby. You seem tired. Have you been on a long journey?"
Kaido replied quietly, "I'm just a traveler. I'm searching for a friend of my parents who left the village a while ago."
The farmer responded calmly, "Perhaps you should ask the village priest, Elian. He's a very wise man. Maybe he can help you with what you're looking for or tell you if your parents' friend passed through here."
Kaido continued with the farmer until they reached the village. Upon their arrival, the villagers warmly welcomed him, and the farmer introduced him to the villagers and other farmers. Although Kaido felt some suspicion at first, he began to feel some comfort among these kind faces.
As he stood with the villagers, he noticed someone among them. It was the priest Elian, dressed in his white robe. He looked at Kaido with a smile, then approached him and invited him to a feast at the temple. Kaido decided to go with him, and they entered the temple where everyone gathered around a large table. Kaido sat with the villagers and ate with them. The food was delicious and warm, and he tasted it for the first time in a long time. It seemed like everything at that moment became more peaceful. He felt at ease in this atmosphere, as if forgetting his worries was possible, even if only for a moment.
After they finished lunch, Priest Elian offered Kaido a room in the temple to rest his weary body. Kaido thanked him and entered the room, hoping to find the rest he had long been missing.
But that night, the sleep was not peaceful. While he was asleep, a sharp pain began to grip his hands, as though something invisible was pressing down on them. He felt something strange in his heart and suddenly found himself in a bizarre dream.
He saw his parents before him, his heart swelling with love for them. His mother's smile was always the one that haunted his memory. But as he got closer to them, everything turned terrifying. He saw his parents lying on the ground, covered in blood. It was a tragic sight, and their eyes were empty of life.
Just before he could step back, he sensed its presence. A terrifying creature, slowly approaching him with a terrifying smile. It began to move faster toward him. A wave of terror overwhelmed Kaido's heart, and he ran as fast as he could, but the creature continued to approach him mercilessly. He screamed at the top of his lungs as he ran, but his voice didn't reach anyone.
Kaido suddenly woke up, his heart pounding rapidly, and sweat dripping down his face. He felt a deep sense of fear within him, as though the nightmare was more than just a dream.
He woke up with his hand hurting intensely. He wasn't sure whether it was from the fatigue of the long journey, the nightmare he had just experienced, or something else entirely.
