OF BOWS AND ARROWS

"How do you mean owners are players" I asked him as we left our building.

"The same way in the first game we were given tags of hunter and prey, thats the same way we we're given roles of owner and human" he explained

"I thought you guys were part of the system " I questioned again

"We are not part of the system " he said as he rolled his eyes.

We had been walking for over thirty minutes now and I still had no idea where the city center was.

"Do you have any idea where it is" I asked him visibly frustrated already.

"Yeah" he said unbothered by my frustration.

We got there in about 15 minutes. I sat down on the floor beside a fountain. I looked round hoping to see Kayla or James. As I looked around,I saw that some people weren't holding a bow Nor arrows, I shrugged it off but I still wondered why.

After not catching a glimpse of either of them, I settled back down waiting for the time for the next game.

"You seem pretty relaxed" Joseph said to me as he inspected his bow.

"I just need the few minutes we have to gather my courage, so leave me be"

"That's rich coming from someone who can barely hold a bow properly" he smirked

"Says the person who burnt pasta"I said back at him and o boy if looks could kill, I'd be six feet under ground already.

PLAYERS the voice suddenly booked AS YOU HAVE SEEN, SOME OF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EQUIPMENT. THE ONES WHO DO NOT HAVE IT ARE THISE WHO DIDN'T COMPLETE YHE TASK DURING THE OWNER AND HUMAN TIME

What? But they said it wasn't a part of the game and besides we bately had enough time to complete the tasks. I completed my tasks though thanks to Joseph who cleared me out but those who couldn't complete theirs?? I was scared for them.

THE BOW AND ARROW WOTH YOU ARE TO BE USED FOR HUNTING .YOU ARE HUNTING ANIMALSWITH MARKS .EACH MARKED ANIMAL CAUGHT CARRIES A POINT. POINT ON EACH ONE WILL NOT BE TOLD UNTIL AFTER THE GAME. THOSE WITH NO POINTS WILL BE ELIMINATED. GOOD LUCK PLAYERS.

After the voice stopped, the whole place changed. One minute we were standing in a city and the next, we were on a clear space in the middle of a forest. We were hunting in a forest?? I looked at Joseph, he was looking ahead as he clutched the bow.

IN YOUR ARROW HOLDER, YOU ALL HAVE 8 ARROWS EACH, USE THEM WISELY. YOU HAVE 3 HOURS .LET THE SECOND GAME BEGIN.

As I started walking towards the forest with Joseph, the people with no bow or arrows stood still looking in fear. No body knows what's out there and by the looks of the Forest this was going to be dangerous.

Joseph and I finally crossed to the forest from the clear opening, my heart raced. The place was filled with trees..tall tress with vines around. The sounds of insects filled the air. I could literally smell the scent of nature in the air and I wondered how the people behind the games were able to pull this off.. The sounds of insects filled the air. Trust me, I looked around if the game people were that crazy to put a mark on an insect. My kind went to other things as it suddenly occurred to me, I couldn't use a bow and arrow to shoot at an animal. The little I practiced back at the room was just for aiming at something. I was scared because I knew what was going to happen if I couldn't catch anything at all but I wouldn't let it show as I continued walking with Joseph who was a little bit ahead of me.

We had been walking for a little while now and we still hadn't seen anything yet. I was beginning to think that these game was toying with us because we had been walking for a whole while now and we still hadn't seen a thing, nothing at all.

Joseph suddenly drew his bow. I looked ahead, it was a deer. He positioned himself well, his stance so perfect as he released the arrow. I watched as the arrow soared through the air and unfortunately, after all the skills proven, missed the target. The deer scampered to safety. I almost laughed.Joseph lowered him bow at the great miss. I knew he was good at this the way he positioned the bow while trying to shoot. He was about to continue walking when he was suddenly fell holding in any sound that he wanted to let out.

What the? My eyes widened as I helped him up. Why did he suddenly decide to admire the Forest floor I said as I laughed in my mind.

"What just happened"I asked unsure as I helped him remove dirt from his hair.

He sighed as he rubbed his ankle his voice strained and I knew it must have hurt.

"It seems you can't miss a target" I look at him confused.

"What do you mean..can't miss a target "

" Once you miss a target, you'll get shocked by the guiding bracelet " he looked in pain as he said that and I knew the shock must have really hurt ,like really really hurt "apparently that's what just happened after I missed" he concluded.

I took a minute to process his words, I slumped to the floor as my legs grew weak.

I was officially done for.
