Chapter 2- Help them Or not

"There are other survivors! And there's even a woman!" Jonathan's eyes gleamed with excitement, and he couldn't help but swallow nervously.

No matter what, this at least proved that he wasn't the only survivor in this apocalypse!

If he were the only one left, it would be so lonely and isolating.

Even if he had enough food and water to survive, Jonathan figured he'd go mad from the loneliness in the end.

Following the sound, Jonathan quickly ran to the window and looked outside.

He saw an off-road vehicle had crashed through the iron gate in front of his villa, spewing white smoke and making a rattling noise. The surrounding zombies, seemingly driven mad, were drawn to the sound of the car and started frantically clawing and gnashing toward it.

These zombies weren't particularly fast, and some even moved clumsily. However, their overwhelming numbers made Jonathan realize that if he were to get surrounded by them, even a special forces soldier would be doomed!

Through the car's windshield, Jonathan could make out the blurry figures of a man and a woman inside the car. They appeared to be terrified, huddling in the vehicle in a panic.

Should he go help them?

Jonathan furrowed his brows, watching as more and more zombies gathered around the off-road vehicle, drawn by the sound of its collision. At this point, there were already hundreds of zombies surrounding the car outside the iron gate.

Fortunately, this seemed to be a suburban town, with only a few scattered villas around and large areas of open land.

So, there weren't that many zombies here. Even if the surrounding zombies were all drawn to the car, it would only be a few hundred, maybe a thousand.

Jonathan couldn't even imagine how terrifying it would be if the zombie virus had spread to the world he had once lived in. The crowded cities and dense population would have made this disaster unimaginable!

This made Jonathan feel a bit relieved.

From his house to the off-road vehicle, there was a barrier of an iron gate, so there weren't any zombies for the time being.

If he went over to help now, he should be safe.

But the iron gate had already been knocked off by the car, and the zombies outside could break in at any moment!

And these two people were complete strangers. If they came inside, not only would they be taking his food and water, but they could also pose a threat to him.

Help them?

Or… not help?

Just as Jonathan was furrowing his brow in thought, the man in the car opened the sunroof and pulled the woman out of the vehicle.

The surrounding zombies, upon seeing the living humans, went wild like flies attracted to the scent of rotting flesh, charging toward the car frantically.

Fortunately, the off-road vehicle was high enough, and the clumsy zombies couldn't climb onto it in the short term.

Even if some more agile zombies managed to get onto the car, they would be yanked back down by their fellow zombies.

"Chhhhhh~~~"

"Ugh ugh ugh!~~~"

"Roar~~~ Roar~~~"

"Ah!! Ah!!!!"

The woman screamed in fright as claws reached up toward her feet, while the man furiously swung an axe, shouting in desperation.

The bodies of these zombies seemed fragile. Whenever the fire axe hit one, it would easily chop off a large chunk of its body.

But aside from the zombies whose heads were smashed in, the rest of the zombies kept clawing and reaching out, undeterred by the axe. They had no fear of it.

"Henry! We have to get out of here! There are too many zombies!" The woman screamed in panic, hiding on top of the car, swinging a wooden stick wildly and shouting frantically at the man who was hacking at the zombies.

At this moment, Jonathan clearly saw the woman's face!

"Tiffany Haddish!" Jonathan stared in shock at the stunningly beautiful woman with golden hair, exclaiming in disbelief.

This world-class movie star, the international sensation who had won the Oscar for Best Actress, how could Jonathan not recognize her?

Even among all the female stars worldwide, Tiffany was one of the top superstars!

Just before the time Jonathan had crossed over, he had been watching a movie starring her,

The Queen

where Tiffany played the noble and elegant queen. Jonathan still vividly remembered her performance!

This timeless goddess, even in her 40s, still exuded grace and charm that captivated everyone!

And now, this goddess was standing right in front of him, and she looked even younger and more beautiful than on the screen!

1995...

According to the current time, she should only be 26, in the most vibrant and charming phase of her life.

As for the man panting and hacking at the zombies, Jonathan didn't need to look closely to know who it was!

Henry Hopkins!

A world-class actor.

Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

Tiffany's newlywed husband, Henry!

This was an international superstar couple!

Before Jonathan could recover from his shock, Henry Hopkins, from the off-road vehicle, had successfully helped Tiffany Haddish jump down into the yard and was now rushing toward Jonathan's house.

Outside, the frenzied zombies were desperately pounding on the already shaky iron gate, trying to squeeze through the gap between the gate and the car.

"Is anyone there?!! Open the door!! Help us!! Please save us!!"

"Bang! Bang!"

"Is anyone there?! Open the door, hurry!"

"Bang! Bang!"

The sounds of urgent knocking and the axe slamming against the door came from outside!

Jonathan's hand, reaching for the doorknob, suddenly froze in midair.

The iron gate outside the yard could be pushed down at any moment by the swarm of zombies. A large group of zombies could rush into the yard at any time.

Once the zombies breached the yard, the two of them would be trapped in a hopeless situation. With so many zombies attacking them relentlessly, they would be doomed for sure.

In this era, law and order in the United States wasn't ideal, so almost every household had implemented strong anti-theft measures.

On the first floor of this house, all the doors and windows were fitted with iron bars for security.

Even the door was a steel security door.

If Jonathan didn't open the door for them, they would definitely die without a doubt!

Help them?

Or... not help?
