Battling The Lizardmen King!

Lucian leaned backwards as the wind from the blade tore a long line through his skull. At this moment, his neck had fully regenerated.

Twisting his waist, he used the momentum and spun his spear and stabbed the tip through the underside of the commander's jaw.

The speed was so fast it caught the Lizardman off guard.

"Puchi!"

The remaining warriors hissed but hesitated, seeing the second in command fall so easily.

Lucian didn't give the rest of the Lizardmen time to gather their courage or regroup. He charged into their midst, the Dragon Soul Devourer spear acting like a mad vampire, killing and devouring.

Each strike was more powerful than the last as the weapon fed on the bloodshed, its runes blazing with the light of dozens of reaped souls until there was no one left.

"Uff!" "Uff!" "Uff!" "Uff!"

His breathing was heavy as he stared at the large stone palace.

The entrance stood like looming death, decorated with skulls and trophies from countless kills and hunts.

From within came a deep, rumbling growl—a sound that promised violence and death.

Wiping the blood off his mouth, Lucian's eyes glinted, but there was no fear in them as he walked towards the stone door and stepped through the doorway, with his spear clenched tightly.

Inside, illuminated by flickering torchlights by the walls, sat an enormous figure on a throne of bones and metal. The Lizardmen King was easily twice the size of its warriors, its scales a midnight black that seemed to drink in the light.

A crown made of the skull of a large monster rested on its massive head, with bones of human fingers tied up as a necklace around its neck.

On one clawed hand, it held a massive war hammer that was no ordinary godrelic.

[Lizardmen King]

[Grade: Boss Monster]

[Level: 15]

The king rose slowly, its massive bulk unfolding as it stood to its full height of five meters.

Yellow eyes narrowed as it regarded Lucian with surprising intelligence.

"Human," it rumbled, its voice like stones grinding together. "You… want… death?"

Lucian licked his lips as he roughly calculated the amount of experience points and stat points the king would provide. He couldn't help but be excited as he replied, "No, I just want you!"

The king was stunned. Then it saw the way Lucian was staring at it and was confused.

It pointed its giant hammer at Lucian. "Human!"

Then pointed at itself proudly. "Me… not… gay!" Its voice sounded like thunder. Noble pride rippling from its body like a wave as it said so.

The moment it said this, the entire hall fell silent.

Lucian's jaws dropped to the ground and his fighting intent faltered.

'D-didn't we just meet?'

'Why?'

'Why!?'

Lucian roared in his mind and his eyes turned blood red.

"You bastard! Who said anything about being gay?!"

"Die for me!!!" He couldn't let the creature go after slandering him like this!

Wasn't he the one bullying the Lizardmen since? When did it become time for monsters to bully him? Not even physically but with words instead!

Lucian didn't waste breath on further words.

He charged towards with insane speed that he suddenly vanished, crossing through the throne room in half a heartbeat. The air around him compressed and then exploded outward, creating a vacuum that made the torches within the massive hall flicker wildly. One moment he stood at the entrance, the next he materialized beside the Lizardmen King, moving so swiftly that even the wind could not react in time.

The Dragon Soul Devourer, pierced through the king's exposed neck like a javelin.

The king suddenly moved. Its speed was so fast it dodged the attack so fast.

The war hammer swung in a devastating arc, a blur of metal and massive power. The very air beneath it collapsed and exploded in a loud shriek as atmospheric pressure gave way to the weapon's might.

Lucian's face changed slightly. 'What astonishing might!'

He immediately stomped his foot against the stone floor, transferring all his weight into a powerful dash that launched him away from his previous position in a flash. The stone beneath his foot cracked from the force of his departure.

"BOOM!"

The hammer struck the ground where he had stood a moment before, sending shards of stone and dust racing through the air like bullets. The floor of the throne room cratered, cracks radiating outward like a spider's web from the point of impact. Several of the trophies hanging on the walls crashed to the ground with clangs.

However, the king followed him like a shadow as it swung its hammer directly at Lucian's skull. The weapon moved with terrifying precision, cutting through the air with a sound like a wounded beast.

"DING!"

Lucian successfully blocked the strike by redirecting it but he had no time to dodge the second strike that followed closely. With split-second calculation, he gritted his teeth and raised the Dragon Soul Devourer defensively.

"DING!!!"

Metal met metal in a shower of sparks as shockwaves exploded in all directions. The collision of the legendary weapon and ancient war hammer created a momentary flash of light so intense it cast stark shadows throughout the throne room.

The air itself seemed to compress and then expand violently, like a thunderclap contained within the chamber's walls.

"Bang!"

The ground beneath Lucian's feet shattered as he was forced on one knee by the impact.

"Bang!"

Using his spear, he had redirected much of the force, but not enough to escape unscathed. The hammer slid along the shaft of the Dragon Soul Devourer and crashed into his shoulder with terrible force.

"Bang!"

His shoulder directly shattered to pieces as bones, blood, and flesh of his left arm exploded outward in a colorful spray of art.
