Heritage

The gravity chamber's reinforced walls groan under the pressure as I stand at its center, golden aura pulsing around me.

At 500 times Earth's normal gravity - the chamber's maximum setting - the air itself feels thick, resistant to every movement.

For Goku or Vegeta, this environment would present a significant challenge. For me, it's barely a warm-up.

"Is that all you've got?" I call out, a smirk playing across my lips as I effortlessly perform a complex kata. "I was hoping for something that might actually make me break a sweat."

Outside the chamber's observation window, Bulma shakes her head, her voice coming through the intercom. "The system can't go any higher without risking structural failure. You'll have to find another way to challenge yourself."

"Well, that's disappointing," I reply, powering down to my base form with a casual roll of my shoulders. "Guess I'll have to look elsewhere for a proper workout."

As if on cue, I sense two familiar ki signatures approaching Capsule Corporation - Goku and Vegeta, moving at high speed.

Their energy signatures are elevated, suggesting they've been training. Perfect timing.

I exit the gravity chamber just as they land in the compound's courtyard.

Goku grins widely upon seeing me, while Vegeta maintains his characteristic scowl - though I detect a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

"Vegito!" Goku calls out, waving enthusiastically. "We were just talking about you! Wanna spar with us?"

"Were you now?" I reply, crossing my arms with a confident smile. "And here I was thinking the gravity chamber was getting boring. Seems the universe has perfect timing."

Vegeta snorts. "Don't get too excited. We're merely curious about some of your higher transformations. You've demonstrated your base power sufficiently already."

"Curious about my transformations, huh?" I echo, my tone playfully mocking. "Finally accepted that you can't match me in base form, so you want to see how much further behind you really are?"

A flash of irritation crosses Vegeta's face, but there's grudging acknowledgment there too. He knows I've hit the mark.

"Whatever the reason," Goku interjects, practically bouncing with excitement, "it'll be fun! We found a great spot in the mountains - no people around for miles, so we can really let loose!"

"Lead the way," I gesture grandly. "I'm curious to see what the two of you can do when you're working together."

Minutes later, we arrive at a remote mountainous region - a desolate landscape of rocky peaks and deep valleys, perfect for high-intensity combat without risk to civilians.

The three of us hover above a particularly flat plateau, sizing each other up.

"So, how do you want to do this?" I ask, stretching my arms casually. "Both of you against me? Taking turns? Or should we start with a demonstration of transformations?"

"Show us Super Saiyan 3," Vegeta demands without preamble. "Kakarot can access it, but can barely maintain it. I'm curious to see how the fusion handles it."

"Super Saiyan 3, huh?" I raise an eyebrow. "Jumping straight to the main event. Alright then."

I float higher into the air, putting some distance between us. "You might want to brace yourselves."

I center myself, drawing on the wellspring of power that comes so naturally to this fused body.

The transformation to Super Saiyan is effortless - a golden aura erupting around me, my hair standing on end and shifting to brilliant gold.

The shockwave from this initial transformation alone is enough to create ripples in the mountains below.

"Just the appetizer," I announce, my voice echoing with power.

With a deeper focus, I push beyond, ascending to Super Saiyan 2. Electricity crackles around my golden aura, the energy output doubling, then tripling.

Rocks rise from the ground below, disintegrating in the force field of my power.

Goku and Vegeta watch with wide eyes, both having transformed to Super Saiyan 2 themselves just to withstand the pressure of my energy.

"And now," I declare, "for the main course."

I draw even deeper, tapping into the well of power that Goku accessed during his time in the afterlife.

The transformation is more dramatic this time - my hair lengthening, my eyebrows disappearing, my muscle mass increasing slightly as my power expands exponentially.

The golden aura grows to massive proportions, lightning crackling so intensely it scorches the air.

"Super Saiyan 3," I announce, my voice deeper and resonating with raw power.

The transformation complete, I hover before them, the very air shimmering around me.

The plateau below has cratered from the pressure of my energy alone, and both Goku and Vegeta are visibly struggling to maintain their positions against the force of my aura.

"Unlike you, Goku," I observe, noting his previous difficulties with the form, "I can maintain this transformation indefinitely. The fusion gives me perfect energy control along with overwhelming power."

Goku's expression is one of pure amazement. "That's incredible! I can barely hold Super Saiyan 3 for a few minutes before it drains me completely!"

Vegeta's reaction is more controlled, but I can see the calculations happening behind his eyes - measuring, comparing, analyzing the implications of what he's witnessing.

"Demonstrate its capabilities," he demands, his voice tight with the effort of speaking against the pressure of my energy.

Without waiting for further prompting, I focus my energy into a concentrated sphere between my palms - a hybrid technique combining elements of the Kamehameha and Final Flash.

The energy ball pulses with blue-gold light, growing rapidly in intensity.

"Final Kamehameha!" I announce, directing the beam upward into the empty sky.

The energy blast tears through the atmosphere, briefly parting the clouds for miles around before dissipating harmlessly in the upper atmosphere.

I maintain the Super Saiyan 3 form, showing no signs of the strain that plagues Goku when he attempts the same transformation. "I could keep this up all day," I remark casually. "The benefits of perfect fusion."

"Alright, we get it," Vegeta growls. "You can power down now."

With a theatrical sigh, I release the transformation, the golden aura and lengthened hair receding as I return to base form.

Despite the massive energy output, I feel barely winded - another advantage of this fused body.

"Well, that was invigorating," I comment, dusting off my hands. "Any other things you'd like to see, or shall we move on to the sparring portion of our day?"

Goku and Vegeta exchange glances, a silent communication passing between them that speaks volumes about how their relationship has evolved over the years.

"Actually," Goku begins, "we were wondering if you've discovered anything beyond Super Saiyan 3. You know, since you're so much stronger than either of us."

The question is exactly what I was hoping for. I adopt a thoughtful expression, as if considering something I hadn't verbalized before.

"Interesting you should ask," I reply. "I've been sensing something during my transformations - a deeper well of power that seems just out of reach."

Both look at me with renewed interest.

"Super Saiyan 3 is impressive," I continue, "but I believe there's something beyond it - a level of power we haven't tapped into yet."

"Beyond Super Saiyan 3?" Goku asks, his interest immediately piqued. "Like what?"

I choose my words carefully, drawing on my knowledge from my previous life while presenting it as intuition rather than certainty.

"When I transform to Super Saiyan 3, I can feel something else stirring deep within - something primal, connected to our Saiyan heritage."

Vegeta's eyes narrow. "Explain."

"Think about it," I propose.

"We have two distinct sources of power as Saiyans - the Oozaru transformation, drawing on our primal nature, and the Super Saiyan transformation, which channels our emotional energy.

They've always been treated as separate paths."

"That's true," Goku acknowledges. "I never thought about it that way."

"But what if they're not meant to be separate?" I suggest.

"What if the next level of transformation involves merging these two aspects of our power - the primal force of the Oozaru with the focused energy of the Super Saiyan?"

Vegeta's expression shifts from skepticism to consideration. "A fusion of transformations... it's not entirely implausible.

The legendary Super Saiyan of ancient texts was said to combine aspects of multiple power sources."

"Exactly," I nod, encouraged by his openness to the theory. "The way I see it, Super Saiyan 3 pushes our current transformation to its limit.

To go beyond, we need to incorporate something fundamentally different - the primal Saiyan power we've largely abandoned."

"But we can't transform into the Oozaru anymore," Goku points out. "We lost our tails years ago."

"And we're too old for them to grow back naturally," Vegeta adds. "That pathway is closed to us."

I allow a small, knowing smile to cross my face. "Have you both forgotten that we have access to the Dragon Balls? Shenron could easily restore your tails."

Goku blinks, then laughs. "Oh yeah! I didn't even think of that!"

"We just used Earth's Dragon Balls," Vegeta reminds us. "They won't be active again for months."

"True," I acknowledge, "but there's another set we could use." I pause for dramatic effect. "The Namekian Dragon Balls."

"Of course!" Goku exclaims, slapping his forehead. "I could use Instant Transmission to take us to New Namek! Their Dragon Balls should be active, and Porunga can grant three wishes!"

"Precisely," I nod. "With your Instant Transmission, you could take Vegeta with you.

I'd go too, but I suspect my presence might raise too many questions among the Namekians - explaining a fusion of two people they know would be... complicated."

Vegeta crosses his arms, considering the proposal. "Even if we restore our tails, there's no guarantee this theoretical transformation would work. It's all speculation."

"True," I concede, "but isn't that how all breakthroughs begin? The first Super Saiyan transformation was just a legend until Goku achieved it.

Super Saiyan 2 was unknown until Gohan's rage unlocked it. Super Saiyan 3 was discovered through Goku's training in the afterlife. Each new level seemed impossible until it wasn't."

My words strike a chord with both of them - Goku's natural curiosity and love of new challenges, Vegeta's drive to push beyond his limits and reclaim his Saiyan heritage.

"I'm in," Goku decides, his enthusiasm building. "Even if it doesn't work exactly like you're thinking, restoring our tails gives us more options. And visiting New Namek would be fun anyway!"

Vegeta takes longer to respond, weighing the proposal against his pride and skepticism. Finally, he gives a curt nod. "The theory has merit. And a true Saiyan should have all aspects of his heritage available to him. I'll go."

"Excellent," I reply, satisfaction evident in my tone. "When will you leave?"

"No time like the present," Goku says cheerfully. "I just need to let Chi-Chi know we're heading off-world for a bit. Vegeta, you should probably tell Bulma too."

Vegeta grunts in agreement. "We'll depart tomorrow morning. That gives us time to prepare and inform our families."

As we prepare to return to Capsule Corporation, I allow myself a private smile.

The seeds have been planted for the discovery of Super Saiyan 4 - a transformation I know exists from my previous life's knowledge of the series, but one that needs to be "discovered" naturally in this world.

By presenting it as a theoretical extension of existing Saiyan powers, I've set events in motion without revealing my outside knowledge.

"One question," Goku says as we take to the air. "If this works, and we do find a way to combine the Oozaru and Super Saiyan powers... what would we call it?"

"Super Saiyan 4 would be the logical progression," Vegeta answers before I can respond.

"Super Saiyan 4," Goku repeats, testing the name. "I like it! Has a nice ring to it."

As we fly back toward civilization, I listen to them discuss the possibilities, each building on the other's ideas in a way that would have seemed impossible during their early years of bitter rivalry.

Their evolution as individuals - and as reluctant allies turned genuine comrades - is remarkable. Especially with me knowing how Vegeta felt all these years.

And now, with my subtle guidance, they're on the path to discovering a transformation that will push their powers to new heights.

Whether it unfolds exactly as it did in the series I remember remains to be seen - this world has already proven it can deviate from the storyline I knew.

I haven't really seen Daima - but I do remember that red fur SSJ4 form.

Though, I personally hope for it to be the version from GT - it is the stronger transformation.

I will need as much power as possible when Beerus arrives - having been able to confirm his existence as I searched through Vegeta's earliest memories - the ones he had suppressed so much, that initially I didn't have natural access to them.

I will have to be careful though. I have Vegeta's experience as a Oozaru meaning I should be able to control the primal instincts of the form, yet I must take precautions.

Better safe than dead.

(Author note: Hello everyone! I hope you all liked the chapter!

Yeah, Vegito isn't messing around. SSJ4 is the next step, since in a world like Dragon Ball, especially with guys like Beerus, Zeno and the like around.

Like, geniunely, if I ask anyone of you - would you want to live in Dragon Ball? If you were anyone besides the angels and Zeno and of course Zalama and Super Shenron?

Honestly, I don't cause I don't wish to live in a world with a child having the on and off button to my existence.

So yeah, do tell me how you found it and I hope to see you all later,

Bye!)
