Morning light filtered through the windows of Capsule Corporation's largest laboratory, casting long shadows across the polished floor.
The space had been cleared of its usual equipment, leaving an open area at its center where Bulma and Chi-Chi stood facing each other.
They weren't alone. Around the perimeter of the room, their family and friends had gathered to witness the unprecedented event about to take place.
Goku stood with Gohan, both wearing expressions of supportive concern.
Vegeta leaned against a far wall, arms crossed but eyes attentive. Videl sat beside Piccolo, who maintained his usual stoic demeanor despite the unusual circumstances.
Supreme Kai and Elder Kai had arrived moments earlier, taking positions where they could observe without interfering.
The small box containing the Potara earrings rested on a table between the two women.
"Are you absolutely certain about this?" Gohan asked, his voice breaking the tense silence. "Once it's done..."
"We're certain," Bulma replied, her tone leaving no room for doubt. She wore a simple blue dress, her hair pulled back neatly. "We've considered this from every angle."
Chi-Chi nodded in agreement. She had chosen a traditional qipao for the occasion, purple with golden trim - formal attire that reflected the significance of the moment.
"This isn't a decision we've made lightly."
"The wish you made with Porunga ensures you'll both return to your normal states immediately after fusion," Supreme Kai reminded them. "But the fusion entity will remain."
"We understand," Chi-Chi confirmed. "That's exactly what we want."
Elder Kai cleared his throat importantly. "Before you proceed, there are certain metaphysical aspects you should be aware of.
The fusion process doesn't merely combine physical attributes - it merges souls' energy creating something entirely new while keeping the individual souls existent - for mortals that is."
"Like Vegito," Bulma nodded. "He's neither Goku nor Vegeta, but someone unique."
"Precisely," Elder Kai continued.
"The being you create will have your memories, your knowledge, aspects of your personalities - but she will not be either of you. She will be herself, with her own consciousness and free will."
"That's what we're counting on," Chi-Chi said softly. "Someone who understands Vegito's unique situation because she shares a similar experience."
Elder Kai nodded, seemingly satisfied with their understanding. "Very well. You may proceed when ready."
Bulma approached the table and opened the small box. Inside, the Potara earrings gleamed with an otherworldly light, their green surfaces reflecting the laboratory's bright illumination.
She lifted one carefully, examining its simple yet elegant design.
"These don't look like much," she observed, "for something with such power."
"Often the most profound forces in the universe manifest through the simplest means," Supreme Kai replied with a slight smile.
Bulma handed one earring to Chi-Chi, then took the remaining one for herself. They stood facing each other, each holding their earring in their right hand.
"Any last words as individuals before you temporarily become something else?" Goku asked, his tone light but his eyes serious.
Chi-Chi looked at her husband and son. "I love you both. Remember, I'll be right back."
"And Vegeta," Bulma added, glancing at her husband, "try not to scowl at our fusion, alright? First impressions matter."
A ghost of a smile flickered across Vegeta's face before he resumed his neutral expression. "Just get on with it, woman."
Bulma rolled her eyes at the familiar response, then turned back to Chi-Chi. "Ready?"
Chi-Chi nodded. "Ready."
Together, they attached the earrings to their right ears.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, without warning, an invisible force pulled them toward each other with irresistible power.
They gasped in surprise as their bodies were drawn together, accelerating until they collided in a flash of brilliant white light.
The illumination was so intense that everyone in the room was forced to shield their eyes. When they could look again, three figures stood where there had been two.
Bulma and Chi-Chi had indeed returned to their original forms, just as Porunga's wish had guaranteed. They looked momentarily disoriented but otherwise unchanged.
Between them stood someone new.
She was tall - taller than either Bulma or Chi-Chi, though not unusually so.
Her hair fell in waves to her shoulders, a rich black with a subtle blue sheen when the light caught it just right.
Her features were a harmonious blend of both women's - Chi-Chi's expressive eyes with Bulma's confident smile, a face that combined elegance with strength.
She wore an outfit that seemed to have merged from both women's clothing - a modernized qipao in deep blue with gold accents, stylish yet practical.
Her posture was straight and dignified, radiating a presence that commanded attention without demanding it.
For a long moment, no one spoke. The newly created being looked down at her hands, turning them over as if fascinated by their existence.
She touched her face, her hair, seemingly cataloging her own features through touch.
Finally, she looked up, her gaze moving around the room to each person present.
When she spoke, her voice carried both Bulma's confident assertiveness and Chi-Chi's melodic warmth, blending into something uniquely captivating.
"Well, this is certainly interesting!" she exclaimed, placing her hands on her hips in a gesture reminiscent of both women.
"One minute you're being pulled through space, and the next - poof! - brand new person!" Her tone shifted suddenly to something more contemplative.
"Though 'new' isn't quite right, is it? I have lifetimes of memories already."
Chi-Chi stepped forward hesitantly. "How do you feel?"
The fusion tilted her head, considering. "Like I've been both overworking in a lab for three days straight AND cooking for a household of Saiyans - exhausted but accomplished." She laughed - a sound that combined Bulma's throaty chuckle with Chi-Chi's melodic giggle.
"Kidding! I feel perfectly balanced, actually. Like all the puzzle pieces just clicked into place."
Bulma blinked, clearly surprised by the fusion's vibrant personality. "You seem... very self-assured for someone who's existed for about thirty seconds."
"Well of course I am!" the fusion replied with a confident flip of her hair.
"I've got your genius intellect AND Chi-Chi's unwavering determination. Why wouldn't I be self-assured?" Her expression softened suddenly.
"Though I suppose I should thank you both. Creating new life isn't something to take lightly, and I appreciate the care you've put into this decision."
"You need a name," Gohan observed, watching the fusion with fascination.
The fusion snapped her fingers decisively. "You're absolutely right! Can't go around being called 'the fusion' forever.
That would be terribly impractical." She paced a few steps, her movements graceful yet energetic.
"It should be something that honors both my origins but establishes me as my own person... something elegant but straightforward..."
She stopped suddenly, turning to face them all with a bright smile. "Chima! Simple, direct, and meaningful - the perfect combination, just like me!"
"Chima," Gohan repeated, testing the sound of it. "A combination of Chi-Chi and Bulma. It suits you."
"Of course it does," Chima replied with a wink. "I came up with it, didn't I?" Then her expression shifted to something more serious.
"I hope that doesn't sound arrogant. I'm still calibrating the balance between Bulma's confidence and Chi-Chi's modesty."
Elder Kai approached, studying her with scholarly interest. "Fascinating. The fusion appears to have integrated perfectly. How are your memories? Clear? Conflicted?"
Chima considered this, her expression turning analytical. "It's like having watched two different movies playing simultaneously, except I was the protagonist in both." She tapped her temple thoughtfully.
"I can clearly distinguish which memories belong to which original source, but they're all equally accessible to me."
Her eyes suddenly widened. "Good gracious, I just realized I have detailed memories of giving birth to Gohan, Goten AND Trunks! Talk about an unusual perspective on motherhood." She glanced at Gohan apologetically.
"Sorry if that's awkward to mention, but scientific accuracy is important when discussing unprecedented metaphysical phenomena."
Gohan's cheeks colored slightly, but he nodded with understanding.
"And who are you?" Piccolo asked, speaking for the first time. "Beyond your memories of them?"
"Now that's the billion zeni question, isn't it?" Chima replied, her tone turning philosophical. "I'm still figuring that out, but I can tell you this much - I've got Bulma's scientific curiosity tempered by Chi-Chi's practical wisdom.
I value innovation AND tradition. I can calculate quantum equations in my head AND prepare a five-course meal from scratch."
She straightened her shoulders with quiet dignity. "But most importantly, I'm someone who understands what it means to be both connected to everyone in this room through shared memories, yet separate from them through independent existence.
That's a perspective very few beings can claim."
Goku approached with his characteristic directness. "So you remember being married to me and to Vegeta?"
"Oh my, jumping straight to the personal questions, aren't we?" Chima replied with a laugh that somehow managed to be both teasing and kind.
"Yes, I have those memories, but they're not MY experiences - they belong to Chi-Chi and Bulma."
She looked at Goku with a gaze that was warm but clearly different from Chi-Chi's affection. "I remember loving you as Chi-Chi does, but I don't feel that same love myself.
I admire your strength and your kindness, but as my own person, not as your wife."
She turned to Vegeta with similar respectful distance. "And I remember your journey from enemy to ally to family through Bulma's eyes.
I understand her love for you, but those feelings aren't mine. I respect who you are without any romantic attachment."
Her expression softened as she looked at Gohan.
"And you - I remember teaching you to read, bandaging your scraped knees, worrying about your studies, and being so proud of the man you've become.
But I understand I'm not your mother - Chi-Chi is. I hope we might develop our own relationship in time, one based on mutual respect rather than inherited connection."
Gohan seemed moved by her words. "I think I'd like that," he said sincerely.
"What will you do now?" Supreme Kai asked. "Now that you exist?"
"First, I'm going to need a decent cup of coffee," Chima declared with sudden pragmatism.
"Being born is surprisingly taxing work!" Her joke was met with surprised laughter and chuckles and she smiled before continuing more seriously.
"After that, I need time to simply exist as myself. To discover who Chima is beyond the memories of Chi-Chi and Bulma."
She glanced between them. "I assume I have a place to stay? Preferably with both a well-equipped kitchen AND a personal laboratory?"
"Of course," Bulma confirmed immediately. "We've prepared quarters for you in the east wing. You'll have privacy, but you won't be isolated."
"Perfect!" Chima exclaimed, then her voice softened. "Thank you. Truly."
She straightened, her expression turning more resolute. "As for my longer-term plans...
I'm well aware of why I was created - the hope that I might connect with Vegito in a way others cannot. And I understand his situation intimately through the lens of my own."
Her tone became firm, combining Chi-Chi's principled determination with Bulma's assertiveness.
"But let me be absolutely clear: I will make my own choices. I won't be pushed, prodded, or manipulated into any relationship, no matter how well-intentioned the matchmaking might be."
She softened this declaration with a gentle smile. "If Vegito and I connect, it will be because we both choose it freely, not because it was predetermined."
"That's exactly as it should be," Chi-Chi assured her. "We never intended to create someone with a predetermined path."
"Just someone with the potential to understand," Bulma added. "What happens next is entirely up to you."
"Well then," Chima said, clapping her hands together decisively, "shall we get on with the business of living?
I have an entire existence to figure out, and I've never been one to waste time - from either side of my heritage!"
As the initial excitement of the fusion began to settle, practical matters came to the forefront.
Bulma led Chima to her prepared quarters - a spacious apartment within the Capsule Corporation compound, furnished with a thoughtful blend of items that reflected both Bulma's modern aesthetic and Chi-Chi's more traditional tastes.
"We tried to create a space that might feel comfortable, but please change anything that doesn't suit you," Bulma explained as they entered the living area. "This is your home now, for as long as you want it to be."
Chima moved through the space with curious interest, trailing her fingers along the furniture, examining the artwork on the walls. "It's lovely - elegant without being fussy, modern without being cold."
She turned to Bulma with a grateful smile. "You've found the perfect balance, just like me!"
"There's a fully stocked kitchen," Bulma continued, gesturing toward an adjacent room. "With both cooking equipment and ready-made options.
We weren't sure if you'd prefer to cook like Chi-Chi or take shortcuts like me."
"Oh, I'll definitely do both," Chima replied with a laugh. "Some days call for the therapeutic process of making everything from scratch, and others demand efficiency.
Why limit myself when I can have the best of both approaches?"
"Your closet is filled with clothing in various styles," Bulma added. "Again, we tried to provide options that might appeal to different aspects of your personality."
"You've thought of everything," Chima observed, genuine appreciation in her voice. "Though I suspect I'll end up designing my own style eventually.
Something that combines tradition with innovation - perhaps modernized versions of classic designs." She winked. "I've got quite the eye for fashion from both sides of my heritage, you know."
After Bulma left, Chima spent time alone, exploring her new home and, more importantly, her new self.
She examined her reflection in a full-length mirror, studying the features that combined elements of both her component parts yet formed a harmonious whole that was uniquely hers.
"Not bad at all," she murmured to her reflection, turning to see herself from different angles. "Strong but feminine, intelligent but approachable. I can work with this."
She tested her knowledge, finding that she possessed Bulma's scientific genius and Chi-Chi's practical wisdom in equal measure.
Complex equations came as easily to her as traditional recipes. She understood the principles of capsule technology as thoroughly as the techniques of martial arts.
"Fascinating," she remarked as she effortlessly solved a complex physics problem in her head while simultaneously planning a gourmet dinner menu.
"I have the best of both minds without the limitations of either.
Bulma's scientific brilliance without her occasional impatience, Chi-Chi's domestic mastery without her sometimes overbearingness."
As evening approached, she found herself drawn to the balcony of her apartment.
The sun was setting over West City, painting the skyline in shades of gold and crimson. She leaned against the railing, watching the play of light across the buildings.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
She turned to find Chi-Chi standing in the doorway, a tray with tea and small cakes in her hands.
"I thought you might like some company," Chi-Chi explained, setting the tray on a small table. "But only if you want it."
"I'd love some!" Chima replied warmly, gesturing to the chair opposite her own.
"I was just thinking that sunsets are mathematically predictable yet emotionally stirring - a perfect example of how science and sentiment can coexist beautifully."
As Chi-Chi poured the tea, a comfortable silence settled between them - not the awkwardness of strangers, but the quiet understanding of beings intimately connected yet distinct.
"It's strange," Chi-Chi said finally, passing a cup to Chima. "Looking at you, knowing you have all my memories, yet you're not me."
"No stranger than my experience," Chima replied with a gentle smile. "Having lived your life in my memories, yet being someone new." She sipped her tea appreciatively.
"Perfect brewing time, by the way. Fifty-seven seconds for this particular blend, I see you remembered."
Chi-Chi looked surprised. "I didn't even think about it. I just... knew."
"And now I know too," Chima observed. "Though I might experiment with sixty-two seconds next time.
The scientific method suggests controlled variables, after all." She winked to show she was partially joking.
Chi-Chi studied her curiously. "Do you resent us? For creating you this way - with a purpose in mind?"
"Resent you?" Chima looked genuinely surprised. "Absolutely not! Why would I resent being given existence?
That's like resenting parents for having a child hoping they'll become a doctor - the hope doesn't negate the gift of life itself."
She set her teacup down with precision. "Besides, I understand the intention behind my creation, and I find it quite reasonable.
You didn't create me as a servant or a tool, but as an independent being with the potential for a unique connection. The rest is up to me, as it should be."
She looked out at the city lights beginning to twinkle in the gathering dusk. "I know about Vegito - not just the facts of his existence, but the complexity of his situation.
I understand his isolation because I share a similar experience."
Her voice took on a more contemplative tone. "To be both connected to everyone and separate from them... it's a paradox few can truly comprehend."
"Will you seek him out when he returns?" Chi-Chi asked directly.
"Of course I'll meet him," Chima replied matter-of-factly. "That's just common sense - we're practically cosmic siblings!" Then her tone softened.
"But if you're asking whether I'll pursue a romantic relationship, that depends entirely on mutual compatibility and interest. I won't force what isn't meant to be, nor will I deny what is."
She picked up one of the small cakes, examining it with appreciation. "I recognize this recipe - your grandmother's, with that hint of orange zest that Bulma always particularly enjoyed. How thoughtful of you to make these."
As night fell completely, the city below transformed into a tapestry of lights against the darkness.
Chima watched the transition with appreciation, seeing it through eyes that were experiencing it for the first time, yet with memories of having seen it countless times before.
"It's a strange gift," she mused aloud, "to be born with a lifetime of memories. To know so much, yet to have experienced so little firsthand.
I know exactly how these cakes should taste, yet this is the first time I've actually eaten one myself."
"You have time," Chi-Chi assured her. "Time to create your own experiences, your own memories."
"Indeed I do," Chima agreed with determined enthusiasm. "And I intend to make the most of every moment, starting now.
Tomorrow I think I'll explore the city - both the scientific institutions AND the traditional markets. No reason to limit myself to just one world when I can appreciate both!"
In the days that followed, Chima began the process of defining herself beyond her origins. She explored West City with Gohan as her guide, experiencing familiar places with fresh perspective.
"The quantum physics department has made remarkable progress," she observed as they toured the university, "though their approach to subatomic particle theory is still frustratingly conservative.
I could revolutionize their research program in a week!" Then, passing a traditional tea house, she added without missing a beat,
"Oh, we simply must stop here - they make the most exquisite jasmine pearl tea using techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries.
There's something to be said for honoring tradition."
She spent time in Bulma's laboratory, her innate understanding of complex technology allowing her to contribute meaningful insights to ongoing projects while simultaneously reorganizing the workspace for maximum efficiency.
"You've been approaching this energy conversion problem from the wrong angle," she told Bulma's research team, rapidly sketching a new design.
"If you recalibrate the quantum field harmonizer while incorporating these traditional energy flow principles -
which, by the way, have fascinating parallels to ancient chi manipulation techniques - you'll increase efficiency by at least 68 percent."
She cooked elaborate meals in her kitchen, finding that the activity brought her a sense of centered calm she valued, though she couldn't resist applying scientific precision to traditional recipes.
"The secret to perfect dumplings," she explained to an attentive Videl,
"is maintaining the wrapper at precisely 57 degrees Fahrenheit while working with a filling that's been rested for exactly 42 minutes to allow the proteins to properly bind.
Grandmother Son's recipe was excellent, but a little scientific optimization never hurts!"
She trained as well, discovering that while she possessed knowledge of martial arts, her physical abilities were more human than Saiyan - strong by ordinary standards - far stronger than Chi-Chi, but of course without the superhuman capabilities of Goku or Vegeta.
"Well, I can't shatter mountains with my fists," she remarked cheerfully after a training session, "but I can certainly defend myself better than most humans. Besides, my true strength lies in my mind - both the analytical AND the intuitive aspects of it."
Each experience, each choice, added another layer to her developing identity.
She found she preferred clothing that blended elegance with practicality - often designing her own garments that combined traditional silhouettes with modern materials.
Her living space gradually transformed as she rearranged furniture and added personal touches that reflected her emerging aesthetic - both sophisticated and welcoming, innovative and timeless.
By the fourth day of her existence, Chima had established a rhythm to her days and begun to form genuine relationships with those around her.
Gohan treated her with respectful friendship, Videl with open curiosity.
Goku approached her with his characteristic straightforward acceptance, while Vegeta maintained a polite distance that nonetheless lacked his usual gruffness.
On the morning of the fifth day, as Chima sat on her balcony enjoying the sunrise while simultaneously reading a scientific journal and practicing traditional calligraphy, Bulma appeared with news.
"Vegito's ship will be arriving today," she announced without preamble. "They've just entered Earth's atmosphere."
"Excellent timing!" Chima replied, setting aside both the journal and the calligraphy brush with precise movements.
"I've just finished redecorating my living space AND developing a theoretical model for improving the gravity room's energy efficiency. I could use a new project."
Bulma studied her with curious eyes. "Are you nervous about meeting him?"
"Nervous? Why would I be nervous?" Chima asked with a confident toss of her hair, then immediately softened.
"Well, perhaps a little. It's not every day you meet someone who's essentially your cosmic counterpart." She smiled thoughtfully.
"I have memories of him from both your perspectives, but meeting him as myself will be an entirely new experience."
"He doesn't know about you yet," Bulma reminded her. "We decided it would be better to explain in person rather than via communication from space."
"Absolutely the right decision," Chima agreed firmly. "Some conversations require proper face-to-face interaction.
Can you imagine trying to explain my existence over a staticky video call?
'Oh, by the way, Vegito, while you were gone, Chi-Chi and Bulma fused and created me. How was your trip?'" She laughed at the absurdity of it.
As Bulma turned to leave, she paused. "For what it's worth, I think you two will get along well. You're both unique beings navigating unprecedented existences."
"We'll certainly have plenty to talk about," Chima acknowledged.
"Though whether that leads to friendship, romance, or simply mutual respect remains to be seen." She straightened her shoulders, as she continued.
"Whatever happens, I'll face it with both scientific curiosity AND emotional intelligence - my own perfect fusion of approaches."
After Bulma departed, Chima remained on the balcony, contemplating the meeting to come.
She felt neither anxiety nor expectation - only a balanced readiness to encounter another being who might understand her unique perspective on existence.
She glanced at her reflection in the window glass, adjusting a strand of her blue-black hair. "Well, Chima," she told herself, "time to make your own first impression."

(Author note: Hello everyone! I hope you all liked the chapter, especially Chima.
I hope I blended Bulma and Chi-Chi well enough.
I find her having a more down to earth personality good for her as opposed to Vegito's serious-nothing-but-business personality that he has outside of battle,
where he there jokes and mocks since mental stability strengthens Ki - and as the Ultimate Warrior he has an intuitive understanding of breaking the opponent's during battle.
So yeah, do tell me how you found it and I hope to see you all later,
Bye!)
