The headless spirit still lingered in the air, its presence like a cold whisper of death.
Leon's golden eyes burned with an intense fire, his gaze turning sharp as a blade.
"Your game ends now."
With those words, a powerful surge of energy erupted from him, shaking the entire café.
In a single swift motion, Leon unleashed his full strength, and within seconds, the spirit was reduced to nothing but ashes.
The heavy, oppressive energy that had filled the space dissipated instantly.
But just as the air settled and silence reclaimed the café, a faint tremor ran through Siara's body. Her lashes fluttered, the glow in her eyes dimmed, and before she could utter a word, she collapsed.
Leon caught her just in time.
Lucien watched with an amused smirk, but before he could speak, Whoosh!
A gust of wind swept through the space.
Leon, holding Siara in his arms, vanished in an instant, taking Lucien with him.
And just like that, the café returned to normal.
The clock hands resumed their movement. The scent of coffee drifted through the air again.
The people, who had been unknowingly frozen in time, resumed their conversations, their motions uninterrupted, as if nothing had ever happened.
But the truth was, something had happened. And only three people knew about it.
Leon. Lucien. And Siara.
Meanwhile, Marco, still occupied in the kitchen, turned around to check on Leon, only to find him gone.
"Where did he go now?" he muttered under his breath.
It wasn't unusual for Leon to disappear suddenly. But when Marco glanced at the counter and realized Siara was missing too, his brows furrowed.
Something felt off.
Scanning the café quickly, he found no sign of her. A slight unease crept into his mind as he pulled out his phone.
Just then, two notifications flashed on the screen.
The first was a message from Siara: "Marco, I'm going out to get some supplies. I'll be back soon!"
The second was from Leon: "Something urgent came up. I'll see you later."
Marco's frown deepened.
Both of them disappearing at the same time?
For a brief moment, an unsettling feeling settled in his gut.
But then he shook his head. "I'm probably overthinking this."
Dismissing the thought, he went back to work.
Yet, a lingering unease remained.
"Meanwhile, on the other side, Leon and Lucien arrived at their grand estate, a mansion unlike any other in the human world.
Perched beside a serene lake, the castle stood as if it had been pulled from the pages of an ancient fairytale.
Its towering walls whispered forgotten secrets, holding mysteries that had long been buried in time.
The wind carried a crisp chill through the open windows, adding to the eerie yet mesmerizing aura of the place.
Leon carefully laid Siara on a luxurious bed.
Her breathing was steady, but exhaustion was evident on her face.
Lucien, who had been watching the scene unfold, casually placed both Leon's and Siara's phones on the nearby table before glancing at her.
"Let her rest." But just as he turned away, his eyes caught something, the bracelet on Siara's wrist.
Something about it felt… unusual.
It wasn't just an ornament. It was old. Powerful. Something that pulsed with an energy far beyond what it seemed.
Curiosity flickered in Lucien's eyes.
Slowly, he reached out to touch it, "Zzzzzap!"
A surge of radiant energy lashed out, sending a sharp jolt up his arm.
Lucien instinctively pulled back, his eyes widening in surprise.
A heartbeat of silence passed before he exhaled, shaking his hand slightly.
"Leon," he murmured, his voice lower now, edged with intrigue.
"This girl… she's far more powerful than we thought."
He turned to look at Leon, expecting some kind of reaction.
Instead, he found Leon staring at him, cold and unwavering.
Lucien blinked.
"Why is he looking at me like I just stole his prized possession?"
Before he could say anything, Leon's voice cut through the air like ice.
"I don't care about anything in this world."
His golden eyes burned with warning.
"But if you ever touch Siaara again, or refer to her as just 'this girl', I will break your skull."
Lucien scoffed dramatically, crossing his arms.
"Wow. What a lovely friendship we have."
Then, raising a brow, he sighed in exaggerated disappointment.
"Honestly, I should've just raised my own enemies. At least they wouldn't give me this kind of attitude!"
