Chapter 203: The Birth of Biafra

 (Chris's POV)

I sat at the head of the conference table in the newly established Blackwood Administrative Complex in Owerri, Imo State—the new capital of Nigeria. The room was silent, the air thick with anticipation.

Across from me sat the leaders of the Biafran independence movement.

For decades, they had fought, protested, and bled for a cause that the world ignored. The dream of an independent Biafra had been crushed time and time again.

But today, everything was about to change.

I leaned forward, my fingers interlocked. "You asked for independence. I'm giving it to you."

Gasps filled the room. Their eyes widened, as if they couldn't believe what they had just heard.

One of their senior leaders, Chief Okafor, adjusted his glasses, his voice trembling slightly. "You… you're recognizing Biafra as a sovereign nation?"

I gave a slow nod. "Yes. Effective immediately, Biafra is no longer under Nigerian rule."

For a brief moment, there was silence. Then—cheers erupted. Some of them stood, shaking hands, embracing each other. Tears filled the eyes of men who had spent their entire lives fighting for this very moment.

Ethan, who stood beside me, let out a small chuckle. "You just did in days what they couldn't do in over fifty years."

Exactly.

Hours Later – The Official Declaration

The announcement was broadcast worldwide.

"By the authority vested in me as the Supreme Head of Nigeria, I hereby grant full independence to the sovereign nation of Biafra. Effective immediately, Biafra will govern itself, with its own leadership, military, and economy."

I watched as the streets of the southeast erupted in celebrations. Crowds flooded the roads of Imo, Anambra, Abia, and Enugu, waving the red, black, and green flag of Biafra.

For the first time in history, their dream had become a reality.

But this was not just a gift. It was a strategy.

With Biafra independent, the old Nigerian power structures were completely shattered. The country was permanently divided—just the way I wanted it.

Skylar's voice came through my earpiece. "Chris, the international community is in chaos. The U.N. is calling an emergency meeting. The African Union is furious. They say you have no right to redraw borders."

I smirked, watching the news reports.

"They had over fifty years to fix this. They failed. Now, I'm fixing it my way."

Skylar sighed. "You know Nigeria won't take this lightly. The northern leaders will fight back."

I turned away from the screen, my expression turning cold.

"Let them."

If they wanted a war, I would give them one.

But this time, there would be no Nigeria left to fight for.
