Chapter 314: The Warning

Christiana's POV

Christiana walked through the halls of Blackwood Academy, her mind still on the parking lot.

Elena Carter.

She had seen girls like her before. Smart. Calculated. Beautiful. But dangerous in the worst way.

And Classic was too distracted to see it.

That was the problem with her brother—he was powerful, but too trusting when it came to certain people.

She wasn't.

She had dug into Elena months ago, long before Classic even noticed her. And what she found?

Not good.

The Carter family wasn't as clean as they pretended to be. On the surface, they were rich, well-connected, and respected in high society. But underneath?

Debt. Secrets. A history of betrayal.

And Elena?

She was her father's most useful asset.

She knew how to play people, how to get close, how to position herself near power. And now? She had set her sights on Classic.

Christiana wasn't going to let that happen.

Her father had taught her many things. But the most important lesson?

"Control your surroundings before they control you."

And right now, Elena was a variable that needed to be eliminated.

As she turned a corner, her phone vibrated.

A message from one of her sources:

"You were right. She's been in contact with her father. And her father? He's been meeting with people tied to the Cortez family."

Christiana's fingers tightened around her phone.

The Cortez family.

A known enemy of Chris Blackwood.

And now, somehow, Elena Carter was connected to them.

Christiana smirked.

You just made this too easy, Elena.

If Classic wouldn't see the truth?

Then she'd make sure Elena had no choice but to show her true colors.
