Chapter 315: The Signal

Christiana's POV

Christiana didn't hesitate. She dialed Ethan's number, walking toward the less crowded side of the academy. The moment he picked up, she didn't waste time.

"Tell my dad."

Ethan was silent for a second. Then, "Tell him what, exactly?"

Christiana's expression hardened. "Elena Carter isn't just some girl interested in Classic. She's tied to her father's business, and her father?" She paused. "He's been meeting with the Cortez family."

That was all Ethan needed to hear.

"Understood." The line cut off.

She exhaled and slid her phone into her pocket, her mind already working through the possibilities.

Her father wasn't the type to overreact—but he was the type to act swiftly.

Elena Carter had just entered dangerous territory.

Christiana turned back toward the main school building, spotting Classic near the entrance, still talking to Elena.

She studied the way Elena smiled, the way she leaned in just enough to keep Classic engaged, but not enough to seem too eager. A calculated move.

Christiana didn't need to do anything else.

Because soon, Chris Blackwood would know.

And when their father knew something—

The game was already over.
