Chris's POV
Chris stood before a massive crowd outside the White House, his expression calm but unyielding.
The national lockdown had stretched for weeks, and the world had been watching closely.
At first, there had been resistance. Politicians, business elites, foreign leaders—all questioning his authority. That ended quickly.
Now, millions of citizens stood in eerie silence, waiting for their leader to speak. The media cameras were rolling. The entire world was tuned in.
Chris stepped forward, his voice booming through the speakers.
"For too long, this nation has been weakened by corruption, by self-serving politicians who value their power over the security of the people. That ends today."
A hush fell over the crowd.
"I have protected this nation with my own hands. I have given you safety. And yet, there are those who still believe they can challenge me. That they can harm my family and face no consequences."
His gaze swept across the thousands before him.
"I warned them."
A pause.
"Now, they will learn."
Chris turned to the rows of soldiers lining the stage behind him. Every one of them wore the Blackwood insignia on their uniforms. Not the American flag—his personal emblem.
The message was clear.
He faced the people once more.
"Effective immediately, the United States of America will no longer operate as a democracy."
Gasps rippled through the crowd.
"The era of weak governance is over. From this day forward, this nation will be ruled as a monarchy—under the Blackwood dynasty."
The shock was immediate. Protesters screamed. Some collapsed in disbelief. The military stood motionless, waiting for his command.
Chris remained unshaken.
"You will resist, I know. That is expected. But hear me well—your protests will not change what is already done."
He gestured behind him.
A massive new flag was unveiled—a deep black banner with a silver Blackwood crest. The old American flag was gone.
"You do not have to like me. You do not have to agree with me. But you will obey me."
His voice dropped to a chilling calm.
"Because in the Blackwood Empire, disobedience is treason."
The soldiers stepped forward in unison. The crackdown had begun.
The Blackwood era was here.
